TLDR; Do NOT switch to Tmobile from Sprint anytime soon. They apparently have glitches in their system and you will get stuck in limbo. Showed up to this location to get my phone activated because my previous phone broke and I got a replacement through Asurion. Sprint has a new two stage authentication setup, so I couldn't activate my new phone unless I went to a Tmobile store. I made the mistake of letting Melissa talk me into switching to Tmobile and save a whopping $5 to make the switch. Before I agreed to switch, I asked how long it would take to switch, and I was told by Melissa it would only take a few minutes. After switching my plan over from Sprint to Tmobile, my phone would not activate because of an "Invalid SIM" error and an error that said to contact Sprint. Then I spent almost three hours while Melissa and another rep went back and forth with Sprint and Tmobile while they chased their tail and apparently had no idea how to do a "pivot" from Sprint to Tmobile. At the end, I finally gave up and told them to just switch my account back to Sprint. The rep I spoke to at Sprint also seemed to have no idea what they were doing and wouldn't answer when I asked for their interaction ID or what their name was. I eventually got her to tell me her name was "Iseoluwa." What a nightmare. Now I am stuck waiting for either Sprint or Tmobile to figure out how to fix this. I'm probably going to be better off going to a new carrier that knows how to activate a phone. read more

My wife & I decided to switch from Verizon to T-mobile (during the pandemic). Masked and all, we were greeted by the store manager who helped before turning us over to Trinity. She was outstanding. She helped w/accessories, moved all our data, showed us how to best use the new phone options, help get the best billing, it was too easy. With all we needed it took some time, and as we are older, she was friendly, informative, & oh so patient. Unlike our experiences w/Verizon we now feel with have a relationship & couldn't be more pleased!! Oh bought the new Samsung S20 G5 & the Ultra...killer phones! read more

Again this store comes through with stellar customer service! I purchased a tablet which ended up being defective. I was told I could go to any T-Mobile store to get a refund. I went to Forest City which is half hour closer to where I live. The tablet cost me $50 and the store was going to charge me a $50 restocking fee!!!! WHAT???? It's completely up to the store manager's discretion to charge or waive the fee. They refused to waive it... Refused!! Called the Asheville store, no problem!!!! Doesn't work on Merrimon Av, A main road in Asheville. They will not let you out of contract because they have a 2G tower somewhere in Asheville. What a way to get around law. They must waive termination fee if cannot provide service in home area so put up the cheapest tower they can and call it service. 8 years and paying $200 to get rid of them. Don't even test it out. The FCC fees which add to your tax section are higher than Verizon too. read more

You will not be able to use t-mobile service on Tunnel Rd inside stores like Lowes or Joann's. You won't be able to use it if you are in a half basement. You won't be able to use it near beaver lake or beaver dam valley area. Montford, barely. West asheville/Haywood rd, nope! I had a brand new iPhone 5s, could never use it. Finally out of contract and I just went to verizon. Welcome to 2016! Everything previous reviewer said was true. If you want to watch your money go down the drain, get service from t-mobile. The person at this location sold me the Jump plan, but then 2 years later would not allow me to upgrade phones. Told us we should have done the upgrade a year into the plan, which was not told to us at the time. I have barely used my phone because I never had service. Just go to verizon. Tmobile could've made this right at some point, with all customers but they probably won't be around much longer since their service is bunk. Peace out t-mobile. read more

Had absolutely top notch customer service. Ari explained the different amenities of the phones. Extremely polite and service oriented.

Specifically asked the clerk when I turned my phone in if I owed anything on the phone. She said no. After months of back and forth with "customer care" and collection agencies trying to figure out what all my extra charges are for, I'm told I did in fact owe money on the phone. Customer service line was awful but the lady should have given me better information in the store. I'm never using T-mobile again. read more

I visited this store and purchased three phones. I tried out the service and it is phenomenal. I get service everywhere. The Reps at the Bleachery Rd. store were completely awesome and patient as we decided the best choice for our pockets. After using the service around town with our new phones, we will be bringing the rest of our family over to T-Mobile as well. You were attentive to our needs with no pressure and provided us with world-class service, even offering to transfer our data and numbers free of charge. With our plan, our kids are loving the included free Netflix and we have already used the T-Mobile Tuesday at Taco Bell. Our new phones are amazing. I was really nervous about changing from my Samsung phone to the One Plus 7Pro. I am glad we chose it, the One Plus7 rocks and so does T-Mobile! You have definitely saved me money in the long run.
