Brenon was on time to his appointment with me wearing a SOCO shirt. I'm a senior and need to immediately recognize who is at my front door. Brenon was an excellent listener as I explained what I would be looking for in a system. He answered all my questions and was very helpful explaining what type of systems I could use for my home. He also did an excellent job of explaining how Federal and State Solar Tax Credits work and the various scenarios of using those credits should I purchase a system through SOCO. We used Living Solar originally for a small PV system and were happy enough to use Ben Jason again…read morefor a much larger system and that was our mistake. The new system had major electrical issues that the owner, Ben, refused to diagnose. He would not answer emails or phone calls. Finally after 9 months of no action, we diagnosed the problem ourselves, found the problem was a faulty junction box and replaced the box and wiring. We have had no issues since. Ben not only refused to do this work, he refused to refund us the cost the replacement box and wiring. My advise is: DO NOT USE HIM! He only cares about new customers and the payment they make. Warranty work is of no concern, the same as customer satisfaction. We know someone else had the same issues and they had to hire a different solar installer to fix Living Solar shoddy install and products.

You can buy one for $120 from several suppliers on the internet; he charged us $389! He also charged us for 2.5 hours labor. This included a first visit when his nephew who works for him said we needed a new blower motor--we did not. It is fine. Marco came back and spent maybe .75 hour putting in switch.
