Their staff seemed decently friendly but quite busy and a little flustered. It was a bit more high traffic when I went (around 5pm), so that could also be the reason. The shoe section in this store was horrible, everything looked old and used and was all over the place. I would not consider buying shoes at this location. On the other hand, they did have a lot of great finds in home decor. This section was very well kept and stocked, there was a lot I was left inspired by. The young gentleman working this area was extremely amicable and willing to accommodate my baby and myself. I also did notice that they had a wide variety of clothing, so much better than the other stores I have been to. The clothing at this location is more reasonable in terms of what someone would actually wear and the pricing. I am seriously considering going shopping here for my daughter and myself. The best find for me was kids clothing and women's jeans, both of which were cheap for great brands such as Limited Too for kids and Lucky Brand Jeans. Overall I would say that this store is worth returning to. I do not consider this a 5 Star store, however 3 stars is too low of a rating. If they would clean up and restock their makeup and shoe department, that rating could change dramatically. One more plus is that they are pretty fast at checkout and keep enough people on registers to match the demand.

We did some browsing, checked some prices and in the end, found an inexpensive hoodie that would get the job done. A reasonable color, a good fit and the style that was desired. It's hard to so no. Second, this had to have been a former Kmart that slapped a Walmart sticker on the door and called it a wrap. The grocery section was very limited; the freezer and refrigerator section consisted of one half of an aisle each. There was no deli, no bakery and the aisles were TIGHT! What's the problem, well as a 6-1 man I am pretty tall but I cannot see over the top part so have been misjudging the front and banging into all the shelves. I tried stooping down but it's not any better. So a design flaw. Much better than the old carts if I had one thing to say about it. Cashier was in such a hurry she missed the security tag on jacket we bought. I looked at the jacket outside after we thought we set off the alarm but didn't see any. But found it when we got home, many miles away. So back to the stairs to get it taken off.

Was a little disappointed in a couple items as one was ripped and the other was missing two buttons. Was surprised to see the wire locks for all the bags, I guess they have as problem with those walking away. Too bad as I know most women want to take the bag to a mirror and see hope it fits in them. As you might know, there it's a Big Y-like supermarket building that OSJL is using. You might recognize a building if you have been to a Big Y location that is housed in a similar building. If you wonder why, this store used to be a Big Y supermarket for a number of years before it closed and OSJL took over that location. OSJL (the closeout store) has been here for about 12 years now. Not to mention here, even before Big Y arrived, it was a short-lived Shaw's supermarket for a few years. Ironically, Big Y still owns the property although the supermarket chain left the building. The lease isn't up until 2022.

On 12/8/2022 I was shopping in Big Lots , Waterford Ct . I noticed two sale signs for area rugs…read more When checking out they rang in incorrectly. i asked the associate about the discrepancies in which he got another associate who confirmed the two signs. One was expired and the other there was confusion on . I asked her to call her manager who began having an open and loud discussion on an intercom about the situation. The manager came up , no name tag , no uniform and informed me she would honor the expired sign but not the other despite looking at it herself . I said she needed to see the sign , she did and still refused to honor it . I asked for her name ,managers name and contact information. She gave me her name , Amber and his Chris but refused to provided me with any information on how I could contact him . She said I could call corporate. I asked for that information and she began using her personal cell phone with her back to me and started making comments to another associate . The other female associate became antagonistic with me video recording and made some rude comments . I asked again if I could have the information but no response . I noted that the sales associate Brendan was throughout the entire encounter pleasant , respectful and remained neutral in what became an awkward experience for him . Amber finally wrote in a piece of receipt and I asked for my items to be saved while I go outside to contact corporate. While in my car on the phone with corporate a police officer approached me stating they called . Confused, I said for what ? He spoke to them and came back I showed him recording and told him my best friend was on the phone the entire time while I was recording. He stated , they said that my actions were not criminal they felt I was being argumentative and aggressive ????? And that they wanted me banned from that store . First off , disagreeing , and communication in an appropriate zero profanity or personal arrack manner is NOT aggressive . Your manager sought To sensor me by contacting the authorities and FALSELY accusing me of a non crime but by her own personal perception and feelings, I was discriminated against , humiliated, and for what ? This is now the new standard of customer service ???? I dont like what your saying , I dont agree so I'm going to cal the police to gain what ???? If this is the procedure any time a customer disagrees and is passionate about speaking to upper management ..... BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! Thank God for phones or Amber"s hurt ego could have cost me some issue with our police enforcement. I have filed multiple complaints and will continue to do so , so no person ever be fearful of questioning a price discrepancy!!!!
