I came in to do a return, the young lady that was helping was clearly new, as I stop there maybe 2 times a week. I wanted to return the items I purchased and get something else. The team lead help the young lady to return my money. I had one item, I didn't have the receipt and was given in-store credit (ok, cool), but after using the credit voucher, I owed an additional $1.06. So I gave the you lady a TWENTY and 06 cents. She in return did not give me my $19.00. I advised he and she seemed very lost that she owed this to me. So, DANIEL, I assume was the manager came up and when I tell you this man was beyond RUDE is an under statement. He was very mouthy and just acting as if I was trying to scam them. I even told him to pull her drawer and count it. He said NO, and basically threw the $19 in my hand. It truly bothers me that ALL them managers at the Nicholasville Rd store is like this, especially the lady during the day and Ms. Sudie is horrible as well. It saddens me to know we only have 1 TJ Maxx in Lexington, it's beginning to look like driving to Frankfort or Winchester is going to be the new norm. At least they are friendly. read more

I'm pretty sure that I've heard that Home Goods, Marshalls and TJ Maxx are owned by the same corporation. They are very similar, but I seem to like TJ Maxx a bit more than Marshalls. This TJ Maxx location is off of Nicholasville Road, bet side of Michaels. I usually always stop in here after Michaels with nothing really on my shopping list. They sell many name brands at deep discounts. My favorite thing to shop here for, is Home goods. Bath towels, throw pillows, bedding, pots, pans, Ive purchased an array of things here and I'm always satisfied with the prices and ultimate quality. I love how organized the checkout process is. Every retail store should use this process. One line, several cashiers/registers. They announce the number of the next available cashier and boom... the line goes quickly. read more

I had great luck here today finding five summer tops ranging from 8.00 to 16.99. All were a really good deal and fit well. I enjoyed my time here but only really looked at clothing. I have bought towels, cooking items, and other goods at this location before. I think the prices are good for the quality of the merchandise! read more

They purchase lots of items that are not commonly stocked but are very good quality. I often have good luck shopping here. Today I found a great pair of thin wool socks and base layering pants . Which was what I was on the hunt for! The store is decorated for the holidays so there's a lot to look at when you come in . I was greeted as soon as I walked in and asked if I wanted a buggy so I didn't have to lug my canvas bag around. I said thanks and took it. They have several tables set up for gift ideas. The store was clean and the staff was more then friendly . The wait to pay wasn't long at all. read more

This store is just sort of ho hum in my opinion. It really is this specific TJ Maxx in my opinion. I have been to a few in different states, but this one just isn't up to par in my book. The same company owns Marshalls and a few other names, but this is the lowest Lexington. They are usually more disorganized than the others. The staff are never actually around or helpful for that matter when you can speak to one. Employees are never in a hurry when checking people out. If the staff is out on the floor, they do all they can to avoid eye contact. I guess that way they do not have to answer questions or do their job as customer service. The lay out isn't too horrible here, but I really can't find anything for the most part. When I stop in to shop, I just have to go up and down all the isles and dig in piles of things just to find something that is close to what I am in need of at the time. Sometimes the light shines down on me and I find exactly what I am in search for, but that is rare. read more

This place is like a goodwill cross-bred with an outlet mall. I'd heard about it being a good place to get nice clothes for cheap, so with my wife in tow we went here to update my wardrobe a little. The Mrs. was also interested to see if she could find anything here as well. The place was crowded, disorganized, and generally had the stuff-scattered-around feel of a goodwill or salvation army store (except pricier and a little cleaner). The merchandise was in large part factory seconds or stuff that clearly wouldn't sell anywhere else. That wasn't to say that there were some decent things there, but you have to separate the wheat from the chaff. After delving through the racks, we found a few shirts and a belt that seemed worth getting, but my wife couldn't find anything that didn't have gaping flaws/tears/stains that was in her size and not a fashion disaster. Maybe another day she could have found something. The shoe department was more of a token section filled with cast-offs. Will we be back? Maybe if we're really scrounging around for clothes and can't find something good elsewhere, but it's definitely not going to be the first place we look. read more

TJ Maxx fan. This location is small and has a small selection of items, both home and clothing. It can come as quite a dissapointment to those of us who have been to spacious and lavish TJ locations. Due to the size of the store, it perhaps attracts a smaller size clientele and there is not a big turn around in merchandise. Therefore, if you are nice to the staff they may be able to tell you when they get new home and kitchen goods, clothing, or when things go on sale. Ask, it will save you a couple of trips! read more

This store marks my birthplace as a Maxxinista. The TJ Maxx/Home Goods/Marshall's stores are places I frequent...mainly because you can find designer clothes for excellent prices and their selection changes constantly. This specific store usually has an excellent selection of handbags and dresses, though they're generally (and unfortunately) light on shoes. Sometimes it can become a bit disorganized, especially depending on how crowded it is. This is also the type of place that you have to be in the mood to dig through a lot of merchandise for good finds, and while it's sometimes hit or miss, it's usually spot on. On my most recent visit I walked away with three dresses for around $15 each. Really can't beat that. read more

This particular TJ Maxx location is awful. I'm a huge TJ's fan and I won't ever be returning to this one. It's overall run down, doesn't have a good selection of items, the lighting seemed... poor. It was just a really bad experience. Wasn't too fond of the employee's either. For those new to TJ Maxx: If you visit this one first, don't let it damper your overall opinion of the store quite yet. I want to start by saying I love TJ Maxx. I would say it is probably my favorite store chain. I spend more money at TJ Maxx stores than any other stores I frequent. I was so disappointed in this location and would probably never return. I spoke to two sales people while in the store and both of their attitude/behavior border lined on being down right rude and extremely unfriendly. I did give one star because I purchased a pair of shoes while I was there, so something good did come from my visit. I have no desire to ever return to this location. I got the impression the employees really didn't care too much if they had customers or not, so I will shop else where while in Lexington. read more

So it might be a great place to shop, clean, great prices etc...But the customer service both from the store and corporate is horrible. The cashier harassed me about signing up for a "rewards card." She wouldn't take no for an answer. When I finally said yes so she'd stop and I could leave she put a CREDIT card form on the counter and said "this is all you have to fill out." She never mentioned a credit card before that and when I said no, I'm not interested in a credit card she pushed me a couple more times and then walked away, laughed, and told another cashier that she'd almost tricked me into signing up for one. Stupid me didn't ask for a manager (I was in a hurry) but when I filled out the review online I wasn't contacted. When I posted on their Facebook page they said they would contact me but NEVER did. IF YOU THINK YOU MIGHT EVER NEED CUSTOMER SERVICE THEN DON'T SHOP AT THIS STORE. read more
