I shopped here to find a watch and it definitely is NOT the same as when I was as a kid, growing up in CA. There are no display cases anymore and I think there was only one watch, hanging where wallets were in the mens' section. How crazy is that? I always stop by this location to pick up Teavana and Tazo tea. When I enter, I smell the delicious offerings from Starbucks. The location is always clean and a few employees were working on layouts. When I think of Target, I think "higher prices, amazing customer service, clean store and high quality items." Today it wasn't a bad visit but the bathrooms look like they either hadn't been cleaned in awhile or someone was taking shortcuts and just didn't care. I've been to other Targets that I felt like their store meant something to them. Anyway, their bathroom was in disarray and I was truly disappointed. Then we went over to their Starbucks, and that wasn't very cleaned up either. I understand that the Starbucks inside the stores are normally Target employees; but I would think that Starbucks would have some ground rules to keep up their good name. Anyway, they had the half & half out in the container. Have no idea how long it had been sitting there; but it should be in some kind of container to keep it cool, rather than room temperature, seeing that when milk goes to room temperature, bacteria has a higher chance of growing. Also there were very few customers there, that the two people behind the counter, could have cleaned up and taken into consideration on how they looked on the outside (T-shirts and no name tags). Perhaps this makes me too picky, as our drinks did come out good; but it makes me question both of the staff member's abilities to do their jobs efficiently. This is a fine Target location! I love Target, and it's difficult for me to dislike one, and this one is no exception. It's in a good location, parking is never an issue, and the store has always been clean and organized when I've visited. I used to live in the area and frequent this location, but recently I've only visited a couple times with my cousin. I used to really love going to Target, but it recently feels like it's not worth it. I've been trying to be super safe by ordering online and choosing curbside delivery, but it seems like this location has a LOT of problems with that. Comparison - I ordered a Halloween costume for the dog, and it said the item would be here in two days. Never showed up until almost two weeks later and then it was the wrong size. But when I ordered birthday presents from the Target by the mall, they showed up earlier than anticipated. I get that things are really hard right now, but when I've had multiple deliveries and even in store visits where things unfortunately don't go right from missing items in stock to people walking around without masks, I kind of want to rethink my visits. read more

Am I a basic person who loves to shop at Target and spends an obscene amount of money here? Yes. Yes I am. This location is my favorite Target in Lexington. Not only is it convenient to my apartment, but it's well organized and the employees are so nice. I swear, I always get the same check out guy and he is so talkative. As I said before, this Target is so organized. Beauty, home goods, food, etc. it's all easy to find. Also, this location is typically always clean. Due to COVID, they sanitize every cart before use. They also have the lines marked to prevent crowding of people. Yes, this will make the line long, but you won't have to wait long. The line, even if backed up to the clothing, always moves quickly. Typical target in most areas. Nice layout, good selection, very well-organized, but they had one line open. Seriously, one line, which was a half mile long... why was only one line open? This was ridiculous. We stopped in for a couple of things to take back to our hotel and stood around like idiots waiting to get to the checkout. I'm definitely used to a more disorganized Target store layout, however, my local Target usually has several lines open at once. Having one open was stupid. This Target has a Starbucks cafe and is laid out well, but the one checkout being open (they never bothered opening more checkouts despite a necessity to do it) was outrageous. read more

Clothes are decent, checking out is usually always a busy. Returns/customers service should only be used for those customer's instead it's used as another checking out. This causes confusion and more hassle for the people using it as it should be used. read more

The line to check out was very long as expected, but the store has markers posted on the floors to help enforce proper social distancing. If I recall correctly, there are two Targets in Lexington: this one and the one near the mall. I was delighted to find the one near the mall a year or so ago.... but this one delights me more! Better location (in my opinion), so not as cramped or crowded. The store is a bit bigger and the layout makes more sense. Clean, bright, typical Target with a Starbucks. Nothing spectacular but, uhm, it's Target, so you're gonna leave with a lot more stuff than you intended to purchase. read more

The store is fine, probably a bit on the smaller side imo. I knocked it down a star because i have consistently had bad experiences with other customers here. Not really something the store itself can help, but gosh. I mean CONSISTENTLY bad experiences. One visit the lady SCREAMED at me in the store for "cutting in line" even though she wasn't even in the damn line. Almost got ran over by a car another visit. The store is on the smaller side so if i go on the weekend it's JAM PACKED like a sardine can; i'm claustrophobic so this doesn't work well for me. They have alcohol out in an aisle now which is nice, although it does have some heavy duty anti theft plastic on the lids. Happy birthday?? My big 60th and my daughter- also my workout buddy - gave me a Target brand- All in Motion zip up jacket that she purchased at our local Target store . Who knew that such a sweet gift could turn into a consumer's worst nightmare! I proudly wore my All in Motion jacket for the 1st time on a cool late afternoon run . Drove my car to the local walking/ biking/ running trail a few miles from our home . Left my cell in car, grabbed my headphones & placed my car key in the inside pocket of the lovely new birthday jacket. Returned to my car after 4 miles - reached into my pocket & was shocked to find a deliberate cutout/ hole in the design of the inside pocket. HOLES DO NOT BELONG IN POCKETS!! Retraced my steps -searching for the key - no luck !! No cell, no key it's getting dark- long walk home. My family was so worried about me - dark/ past dinner/ could not reach me on cell. Car Key will cost $ 180 to replace. Target will not reimburse. I can definitely afford this inconvenience. However, others may not be so fortunate- car keys can be very pricey to replace these days due to computer chips in them . Finally, what if I was much further from home- hiking or kayaking? What if a small child had his / her house key or lunch money in their inside jacket pocket ? Placing a key in a pocket should not lead to danger or a safety issue. You can do better- Target! I have plenty of Gap, Athleta, Columbia , and Old Navy activewear- none of those jackets have an inside cutout in their pockets . Take the All in Motion jackets with this design flaw - Off the Shelf !! Do not put your customers at risk for such a poor design on a Target product that is sold to Men , Women & small Children. read more

Worst I've been treated anywhere is at this target. When it gets really crowded, the checkout line overflows into one of the main walkways. My wife and I were in line before this overflow started, an associate walked up to us and said we need to get behind all of them. I explained we had been in line for 10 minutes, and that it was before that other line had started. She didn't believe me, and said "no, they've been in line this entire time" the customer who was in front of us had to step in and vouch for us to keep our spot in line. Great selection of merchandise presented in an organized and easy to navigate fashion. Target always seems to have what I need and I enjoy shopping in a nice, clean and modern looking environment. The pricing is just attractive enough to keep me from subjecting myself to the freak fest better known as Walmart unless it is an emergency. The only thing Target has left me frustrated with is the lack of self checkout lines for small and medium sized purchases. It wouldn't really bother me if they were ever staffed enough to handle to volume of business they get but come on people; one cashier for a 100,000 square foot retail giant?? Such a disappointing trip to one of my favorite stores. I was looking for someone specific, passed so many employees who had no interest in helping me, even after I loudly exclaimed that I did not know where the item is. I made my way to the checkout where the registers were at least 5 people deep. The manager on duty began telling and loudly exclaiming how forming a line shouldn't be so hard. He then approached the line I was in and strongly suggested that we move to the next line. As he walked away, he called me a dumbass. Seriously? 1. The layout of your registers is ridiculous. Who can fit between the cart and the candy shelf to get to the far register? And 2. Who wants to shop at a store where they're treated like cattle. read more

I haven't shopped at this store in ages. I didn' t know about the Starbucks on entry. I didn't know about the grocery store in the back ( don't judge me ), I don't get out much. It was a very clean store and a very nice lay out. Everyone seems to be rather friendly and helpful. They are a big department store with everything you could possibly want. I think I will make it a goal to shop here more often. Lets see if I keep that idea up and moving. The only thing I dislike about this place is exiting the parking lot after I am done shopping. For some reason this end of the Hamburg area gets bottle necked. I avoid this area during rush hour times and anytime from Thanksgiving to Xmas. read more

The snack café near the front of the store calls for me to grab some cheap popcorn to nibble on as I browse Target for things that I "need." In my opinion, Target is the best of the discount stores. The problems that plague other big retailers such as crowded aisles, disheveled merchandise, and too much traffic are absent here. Their clothes and accessories are fashionable. I am always tempted to buy hats here, but I usually resist knowing that I will never wear them. I absolutely love Target stores, and while this one is generally well managed and clean, this is just a normal Target, not a super Target as is advertised on the outside of the store (hence why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5). It's still quite large and well stocked, but at times they were all out of what I needed (most likely due to the college dorm rush). It is labelled as a "Super Target" averagely stocked during our pitstop visit and had the standard elements of what a Super Target should have: (A) Starbucks; (B) Large in size; (C) More furniture / B-rated grocery options compared to the regular Targets. Of course, who doesn't love a good Target! This is my favorite Lexington Location. Maybe I am bias because I love Hamburg, but I tend to go to Target about once every week or two. They do have a Starbucks located inside along with the traditional Target food spot. Its a really nice clean store that is typically really well stocked. I like to check thier weekly ad for good deals too. They always have some good sale going on. Though I don't tend to buy many clothes from here, I tend to shop in all the other sections of the store, from accessories, home goods, toys to electronics. They have a wide range of items not sold anywhere else. You get a unique shopping experience at Target. They do have food there, but not enough for me to warrant grocery shopping here, I may pick up a snack or something, but I have a family of six and I need way more stuff than they offer! read more

Every time I go into Target I am immediately reminded that I wish we had one in Georgetown, sadly we do not. We have a Walmart that I am always less than pleased with but that's another story for another time. The $1 decor items at the very front always get me and I spend way more than $1 on items that I definitely don't need but I absolutely love once I get them home. Their clothes selection is great especially for work clothes. As someone who spends 60+ hours a week at work I like to have a versatile selection and I can always pick up new pieces to add to my wardrobe for next to nothing. Horrible customer service at the Hamburg Target. I was just about run over by two employees that were to busy talking to even notice I was there. I was shopping for Halloween decorations that said they were available in the store, but they weren't on the shelves. About 7 employees were standing around in the Halloween section while one lady was working and at least tried to help me find the item. This store has very poor management and it shows in their employee's attitudes. I agree with conserving energy by lowering the lights and air conditioning (though the store does get very warm). This is the second night I've been here and they refuse to open enough registers to keep customers from having to stand in line for 30 minutes to check out. DON'T COUNT ON BEING ABLE TO RETURN ITEMS HERE! I paid $39.99 using a gift card for an inflatable punching bag for my son. It would not hold air. I did not have the receipt but I found the item on Target's website, listed at $39.99. A staff member on Thursday night told me that as long as I had the UPC then I'd just need to provide my license so I brought it in today. The manager (tall, glasses, and scraggly beard) said it was coming up as $0.00 in their system so they couldn't help me. The manager was EXTREMELY unwilling to be helpful at all. Hiring smarter employees is strongly recommended. Customer service couldn't have been any worse!!! I just left the item there for them to have, what a joke! This issue not being resolved due to poor management will certainly have me shopping elsewhere moving forward. Responding with contact info to resolve is the only way I would ever consider giving this company a second chance of earning my future business. read more
