Have driven past this store for 20+ years traveling to see family and finally drove by on a day…read morethey were open and we didn't have to immediately be somewhere. I will say that this place was not what I was expecting--the biggest part of the store is hunting gear--rifles, clothing, and related items. They have a section of country home goods and decor, a small kids section, and some snacks and jewelry. The kids picked out some cute earrings, took a picture with the taxidermy moose, and tried to convince me they needed a "coon skin" cap (no). Glad we finally stopped but not our jam.

Hour waiting for them to tell us it could not be done and the firearms needed to be shipped ffl to ffl. Not true. Hey Green Monstar, its okay for you to say you dont want to get involved in that transfer at that time. The lady who I saw for about 5 minutes the whole hour came out and asked the guy working the counter to when he had a minute call so and so to come pick up his sh!t (appeared to be a pistol) Nice touch. I recently traveled to Sportsman's Warehouse in Altoona after learning from their website that they had the rod holder I wanted in the size I needed. The website was very clear that this size of this item was in stock, could be ordered online and picked up today ( see attached screenshots). I decided to just drive up and pick them up rather than ordering ahead. When I got to the store I was informed sorry we are out of them. In fact it wasn't just this size they were out of. They only had one of four available sizes in stock. This despite all sizes being listed in stock, available today for pickup in the store. I did get an apology from the salesperson, but that doesn't compensate me for wasting half a day and $20 in gas to get there and back. Don't believe anything you see on their website. They probably haven't got it. This is most disappointing as I really enjoyed shopping there in the past. Guess I'll have to go elsewhere in the future.

Sportsman's Altoona should get 10/5 for how helpful they were. Couldn't have been an easier process with a better staff. I would absolutely go through them again.

Nice work fellas thanks again.
