Have driven past this store for 20+ years traveling to see family and finally drove by on a day…read morethey were open and we didn't have to immediately be somewhere. I will say that this place was not what I was expecting--the biggest part of the store is hunting gear--rifles, clothing, and related items. They have a section of country home goods and decor, a small kids section, and some snacks and jewelry. The kids picked out some cute earrings, took a picture with the taxidermy moose, and tried to convince me they needed a "coon skin" cap (no). Glad we finally stopped but not our jam.

So I want to share a story and I'm asking that you share and then NOT support this business !!!!…read more On Saturday February 3rd I took my 15 yr old son to an in instructional archery shoot at Freedom archery located in East Freedom PA. This was Scheduled from 2pm -3pm. On the archery range, there is 6 lanes and they are tight together, so they were spread out a to every other one so they we're squeezed together.... again they had the range from 2-3pm. At 2:25pm a group of 3 adults who brought their very expensive bows with them and came to the range and jumped in to shoot, it was believed that they were all going to shoot the video and were just taking a few practice shots. After they shot 2 rounds of arrows, they walked out and the kids resumed their shooting. 3 minutes later they walk back back in with new targets and go up and pull down my sons target without even asking him or anyone else...... they just took over the place. The owner who was putting hot dogs on the warmer was notified, as well as another individual in the group was mention and they both shrugged it off and being nothing. So now I'm boiling...... I Walked up to all 4 guys now at this point and told them how rude they were by coming in and taking down targets without asking and that it was a 15 yr olds target who was trying to learn as they once did..... everyone of them tried to push it off on the other and lied to me..... which farther pissed me off.... so I had raised my voice a little due to displeasure, and shook my head as I'm walking back down the range to the shooting area. The bigger man of the group was running his mouth to me a little, to which he had no argument as I clearly stated it was very Unsportsmanlike of each of them to do so. Well that didn't sit too well with him and he's jabbing at me. The Owner " Andy Zeth" then says to me " I didn't know anything about it, I didn't know...... yes you did but you turned a blind eye to it 3 minutes prior to......... why..... I figure that we were the new people there and the other people had spent a lot more money there than we did, so he didn't want to piss off those people who have purchased and continue to purchase expensive items from him. After I said what I did, they mentioned group would argue back with me and once wife got in my face, I again said that I didn't want to hear it and that it was very unsportsmanlike of them. Then I was told to leave because of me speaking up to the owners customers, as he is playing cover up now and yelling at me, because these group of men basically bullied my son and ignored both times they were made aware of the situation, and yet nothing was done, so as a father, I spoke up for my son...... and I will say that I was so mad, I even mention to taking the one outside after the display they showed..... we protect our children. So this is a case of the Good ole boys club Please share this Post and make it go viral ........ this is in no way fair...... no I didn't spend as much money as those gentlemen did in the past, who knows what the future would have held..... Thank you all in advance DO NOT SUPPORT FREEDOM ARCHERY in East freedom, PA

Updating this review since my previous issue was resolved thanks to a member of the Bedford County…read moreChamber of Commerce reaching out and getting the FAQ fixed. I did end up attending the event with my service dog, and received no access issues. My mother and I enjoyed the event, and I'll definitely be going back again next year. I'm still leaving the original review below, and not giving 5 stars, simply because the initial interaction was definitely still highly unprofessional and unpleasant. Original review: Highly disrespectful. I very politely and professionally messaged the page in regards to the FAQ stating "registered" service dogs would be an "exception". Response from the website contact form was non-existent, and response from the Facebook page was slow and unprofessional. I provided a direct link to the ADA's website on service dogs, and explained that by federal law (the ADA, enforced by the DOJ) there is no registration, certification, or other documentation required for a service dog to accompany the disabled handler into public places. 2 days passed after sending that, so I sent a follow up, to ensure it was read. Got a reply saying they hadn't had time to read it. I was polite in my reply once again. 5 days later (tonight) still no reply so I followed up again. Received a message stating "We are aware that service dog registration is not required by law." So I replied expressing my confusion, and was met with a great deal of rudeness and unprofessionalism. Unsure if I can add photos to this review. So to see screenshots of the entire conversation, go to Yelp or Facebook. Very disappointing.

Even more recently, like 9 or 10 years ago, when my daughter was still a baby or toddler visiting my parents in the summer for a few days to do some fishing or camping (or any outdoor activity) when she'd get any bee sting, rash, infection, etc. while she was in Bedford, my mom or dad would take her to Letrent's and they'd give her advice, tell her what prescription (or home remedy) would help her, and simply be there for her in any way that they could. At least once or twice, I can recall that the pharmacy would even stay there late to fill a prescription that my daughter or another family member would need right away, and they always did the same for my brother and I when we were kids. This pharmacy and family is absolutely wonderful!!! I still occasionally get my prescription refilled there when I'm visiting town for the holidays...just to say "hi" and support their local business. Nobody in any big chain pharmacy would or could provide the outstanding service that Letrent's has provided for their customers all of these years!

Besides being extremely friendly, they were also quick and efficient. When they had a question about one of the numerous prescriptions I had dropped off, they quickly called me so it would not hold up the filling of the others. When I had expressed concern that I was not positive that my brother-in-law might not be able to get the medicines picked up before they closed that evening, they were like, "Just call us, we'll be here". Who does that???? I wish this pharmacy was closer to me as I would surely use it myself.
