Happily, the Good 2 B Home, next door, was open. Proprietor Shelley Wertz was minding the shop, so we wandered around this charming, eclectic & really lovely shop. This is not your 'run of the mill' gift shop. There are items from local producers & artists are really 'cool stuff. Particularly, we liked the industrial-looking lamps that had usb & plug outlets. Really cool! Shelley could not have been more helpful & kind. Needless to say, we'll be back! (Hopefully at a time we can get coffee next door!)

I purchased one of those old time plastic popcorn holiday decorations that were massively popular in the 70s. My mom had many of these for the holidays and I've managed to uncover a few of them for my house. It always makes me think of her. On this visit, I saw a very unique one that was a hippie love sign. It was a little out of my price range, but my kids insisted I go back and get it. I reluctantly agreed, and the shopkeeper was so nice to let me get it despite actually being closed. She told me these signs used to cost $2 a piece. I definitely paid a lot more than that! But am so happy whenever I see it in our window.

I was glad to buy local…read more At first impression it looks like this pharmacy has been here since the 1950s. But I was informed by my family in the area that it is brand new. And I have to say it's pretty audacious to build a small local pharmacy across the street from a RiteAid. Usually these things happen the other way around. The big national chain opens and puts the little guy out of business. Fisher's was great. It had everything I needed, in a warm and helpful environment, and a striking building. I wish them plenty of success, and maybe they can even reverse the trend and send the big chain packing.

I was very touched by their caring help and it really made a difference to me. Thank you, Jenn and staff. I am a very happy and appreciative customer of Fisher's Pharmacy. Truly, I receive respectful, kind and extremely efficient customer service every time I go to Fisher's. And when I say every time, I actually mean it. When I walk in the door of Fisher's, I am always greeted with a genuine smile and warm "Hello." I feel very welcomed. Fisher's gladly fills my prescriptions quickly - every time (for real). The pharmacist-owner, Jenn, and staff are always happy to help, answer questions, order items and so on. She is a compassionate pharmacist and human being who understands and empathizes with customers' health concerns. Sometimes while waiting for my prescriptions (if you can call about ten minutes a wait) I may buy a greeting card or two - they have a very nice selection - or just sit comfortably. I'm a senior citizen (already?!) and I've been to my share of pharmacies over the years, but the service, kindness and attentiveness I receive at Fisher's is simply unmatched. The staff truly cares about their customers. I recommend Fisher's to anyone who appreciates being treated like a respected human being and a valued customer. Minus 10 stars Linda! Two floral arrangements were sent to my daughter, one via FTD, one via Flowers From You, argh to both! Super arghs to Loving Touch!!!! Both arrangements were mostly greens, I hate greens, period, in an arrangement, to me they look cheap. The arrangements were 90% greens and nothing of what I ordered. One arrangement was to be 15 tulips of various colors and nothing else. I have only had two experiences with The Loving Touch Flower and Gift Shop but both of them have…read morebeen excellent! My first encounter was in April when I was in town visiting my sister. I had looked for some flowers in the grocery store down the road, but to no avail so I was directed to this florist. Unfortunately, when I arrived, it was after 5:00p.m. and the store was closed. However, the staff saw me and came and unlocked the door to let me in and let me eat their fresh made candy while we chatted. They even offered to make an arrangement for me right then if I wanted to wait a little bit. I ended up not but had hoped to come back the next day but was unable to. My second chance to deal with them came this week with the passing of my sister. When I called, Bethany, (one of the owners) answered the phone and was very pleasant. She was very helpful, directing me to their website and how to pick arrangements that would be perfect for a less than perfect day. She was also very clear about when I should call back by to ensure that the arrangement made it to the funeral home. I did call back and this time spoke to another employee who was very knowledgable and worked with me to honor the pricing that Bethany and I had spoken about. The flowers arrived at the funeral home with no problems and they were spectacular. The Morning Star arrangement that I ordered was very large and the quality of the flowers was superb! Although I do not live locally, if I ever had a reason to go back to Bedford, P.A., I would certainly use this florist again.

One time it was so cold and I only had sandels to wear and there was no store anywhere close where I could go shopping. That has changed finally! Patti & Mia have done a great job in carrying basic pieces, shoes, accessories and all clothing a person would need! Finally we can go somewhere local to shop for cute things!
