I would like to recommend The Locksmiths in Verona to anybody needing a locksmith…read more I called them yesterday about opening a bedroom door with a very old, broken lock. The bolt was stuck in the out position, the key didn't move it, and there was no way to remove the doorknob or take the door off the hinges. Dave Hornung, one of the owners, said that he could come over in 45 minutes, but it would cost $50, and explained a way that I could try removing a piece of trim to get at the bolt and how I could try to get it to move. He suggested that I try that first and then call back if I still couldn't get the door open. His idea worked! He could've made an easy $50-$100 off of me. He is obviously an ethical, knowledgeable guy. I would definitely call him again if I have any lock-related problems.

We called all over just to be told they couldn't duplicate her key for one reason or another. All of this was at a price of 150-350 depending on type of key and miles of towing. I did a quick search online for locksmiths in the La Crosse area and found Big Ben's. Contacted him and told him our situation and what was needed. He quoted a price and set up a time. Service was prompt, courteous and professional from start to finish! Within 15 minutes he had a new key made, programmed and our daughter was on the road again. Big Ben's was a life saver! THANK YOU BEN!!

We were quoted on the phone $110.00 total for 2 rekeying and service charge of $80.00. Well, the tech had to leave to go to Menards to pick up something. 30-35 minutes later, he changed the locks then charged $190.00 instead of $110. When I told him we were quoted $110, he said that the additional $80.00 is for labor. We made sure that when we called to schedule the appointment, there were no other fees. Then the tech wanted to charge me $18.00 for rekey kit, which only cost $11.00 at Walmart. Seriously! Do not trust them. By the way the tech showed up after 4pm for the job. Call another company.
