I finally expanded my search and called A-1 in Baraboo. They answered immediately and got there quickly. I expected him to stick a metal rod down my window like most do - which sometimes takes forever with newer cars. Instead, he used a little key device right in my driver side door keyhole. It took him maybe 3 minutes - and we were in! I was amazed. And he was super nice. What could have been a very stressful situation turned into a quick little chat with a talented tech! Very happy and would recommend them to anyone!

A man named Chet (Chuck?) helped us and he was absolutely fantastic. He originally was booked until 6 p.m., and when I told him that we were supposed to leave to Chicago ASAP and we would call around, he immediately offered to try to move around his schedule. Fortunately for us, he was able to squeeze us in within 45 minutes. He promptly arrived, and made us a key quickly, at half of what we were expecting to pay. His truck was EXTREMELY neat and well organized, and he was very efficient and clearly skilled at what he does. Would reccommend to anybody in a heartbeat. These guys are great.

The whole ignition lock needed to be replaced, and it started raining while this was happening so when it was done they came and picked me up from the nearby coffee shop where I'd been waiting. They charged less than they might've out of sympathy for this happening while I was out of town. No lock problems since. The girl on the phone was nice, but that she would ask me a little more specific information, but she did ask for my basic car info and my contact information. My worry was I was in a public parking lot on the UWSP campus and surrounded by plenty of cars...maybe I should have told her exactly where I was in the parking lot. Regardless she said they would be there in 10 minutes, which they were.  It was helpful that they were in a big obvious truck, so I knew it was them and waved them down.  The locksmith was very friendly and quick with his work.
