If you like setting money on fire for services that are priced superior through other independent…read morecontractors or sites that aggregate services from multiple contractors, look no further than Northern Electrical, LLC. Re-engaging with this business after an initially positive outcome installing a video doorbell was a serious and expensive mistake. While the electrician that was dispatched was professional and completed the work, the inability to price services in line with the competition is compounded by an arbitrary total that is placed on the bill. An alternative local provider charges $110 for the installation of a ceiling fan. In comparison, Northern Electrical, LLC will charge you $195 just to "roll a truck" and refuses to acknowledge that they're not the only business servicing applicable areas. If you think ~$410 is a fair rate for 90 minutes of labor to install a ceiling fan (prior fixture was already removed), a light switch and two outlets (which I was told I should have paid more because they didn't get to supply the parts and mark them up), then you may need an Economy 101 class to optimize your finances. Steer clear of Northern Electrical, LLC unless you like wasting money on overpriced services and non-itemized billing rates.

In the end my cost was ~$300 - I had not been given a quote or informed about price throughout the process, so I found out upon invoicing. This was higher than I was expecting

Chase came out and ran multiple tests and was able to fix the issue and got the light working on both switches. His initial price range quote was spot on as well. I even gave my number to him on Yelp, and he neglected to reach out to me directly until he was "on his way". He said he would contact me after thw first few jobs he had, and I said it was okay, but he gave not time frame at all for a call or visit, so of course when he called to say he was done with his other job and could be on the way, I was not available to take the call. I sent him a message to ask if he schedules appointments or could give a window to expect his arrival, but as before, no response to my message. I honestly cannot say whether his work is good, but I can say the way he operates is not conducive to getting things done in a way that most customers are accustomed to. Without consistent communication or setting up times for service, it was neay impossible to accomplish working with him. I wish the best of luck, but the experience was not organized or professional.

After the storm and extended power outage of November 2018, when my cats and I spent many days (and…read morenights) freezing in our house, I looked for someone who was knowledgeable in installing a Generac Generator. I spoke with more than one electrical company at the time, but Robert Behers immediately impressed me as the expert I needed for the task. His explanation of alternatives and associated costs were transparent, his estimate precise, and his advice heeded. Robert's son, Bob, is equally knowledgeable. Bob can make a diagnosis over the phone when I describe a sound; and when an unusual event has occurred (such as a hiccup with ignition for a power failure that immediately follows one that lasted continuously for most of a week), he gives precise instructions over the phone to solve the issue, much like the control tower helping a passenger to land a plane after the pilot has become ill. Joe, who always has arrived on time over the past 7 years for thorough annual generator maintenance and upkeep (replacing a battery or spark plugs at specific intervals, servicing valves after prolonged use, etc.) also is a wizard and answers all questions with responses that I am able to grasp. I have recommended R. G. Behers Electrical Service, Inc. to everyone who is interested in getting a generator to back up our aging power grid, as well as to anyone who needs a fine electrician.

Despite a nation-wide shortage, R.G. Behers obtained the generator that we wanted in short order, because they're a long-time installer with a great service record. When we lost electricity for 3 days last month, the generator turned itself on and the automatic transfer switch "took over" our electric panel, with no disruption in heat, light or any of our electric fixtures. No mess, no need to go out into the snowstorm, no need to fill fuel tanks. Great people to work with!
