Our restaurant is situated in the heart of Enkhuizen, at the foot of the famous tower
"Drommedaris". Our beautiful terrace with 130 seats invites you for a long, pleasant stay.

On cooler days we invite you to take a seat in our heated, covered outdoor café.
Inside our pub we offer 40 seats.

In July and August our cooks practise their art of cooking in their outdoor kitchen.
They give you a hearty welcome on our terrace by offering a delicious meal at a firm, low price of 15.50 Euros.
Lovers of the Mediterranian kitchen are invited to eat unlimited tapas at only 18.50 per person.
If you want to eat tapas, you should reserve your table at least 24 hours in advance.

History
Established in 1977.
Een café dat al bijna 40 jaar bestaat moet wel een rijke historie hebben. En die heeft Schipperscafé 't Ankertje!
De geschiedenis van 't Ankertje begint bij Rieuwert (de Sprieuw) Mazereeuw, destijds succesvol uitbater van Hotel Café Du Passage in de Spoorstraat in Enkhuizen. Ook wel bekend als de zaak met de grote centenbar, vanwege de 13.000 centen en een dubbeltje, ingeharst op de bar.
De zaken gingen goed. Zo goed, dat Rieuwert Herbergh het IJsselmeer in Oosterleek kon kopen. En daar bleef het niet bij. In 1976 kocht hij de oude bloemenzaak van achterneef Jantje Mazereeuw aan de Dijk in Enkhuizen.
Hier op het mooiste plekje van de stad, recht tegenover de Drommedaris, opende Rieuwert een jaar later Schipperscafé 't Ankertje.
Legendarisch
Het café werd een daverend succes. Als thuisbasis van alle charterschippers van het eerste uur, zoals Rooie Gerrit, de Smurfen Tom en Maarten en vele legendarische Enkhuizers.

I opened this beautiful company as an girl of 7 years old. After 38 years, it is still in de family and I run this bar since 2008. I am a mother of two great children and my greatest passion are horses.
I am an creative entrepreneur and an expert in hospitality. I'd like you to feel at home with us and I do anything what is in my possibility, together with my team, to give you an great experience when you come tot visit us !
