I have been going to Mindy exclusively for almost 2 years now and would not go to anyone else!! (Except her sister who is also very good) Mindy is very skilled and always does a wonderful job on my nails (even when I am too rough on them and break them doing stuff I have no business doing with long pretty nails like moving cinder blocks - lol) Also, she is incredibly honest. I once accidentally dropped a $100 bill on the floor while paying her and the next time I went in - she gave it to me. I had no clue where I lost it! I was blown away! I saw some a few negative reviews on this shop and all I can say is that these folks must have gone to the shop before Mindy took over because I have had nothing but excellent treatment and experiences at T & T Perfect Nails! Fantastic. I went there 3 years ago and then went elsewhere for 2 years. I went back recently after a year of doing my own nails. They remembered that I used to come despite the mask- so that's nice that they know customers like that. The full set ombré nails the guy gave me were awesome and it was SO QUICK! Huge perk! Last Friday, I went for a pedicure and it was the most relaxing massage I've ever gotten. Its usually 321 and done and you legitimately know they they can't wait to be done- I didn't have that experience at all. The massage was well done and super relaxing. And that service was $35!!!! The woman also did my eyebrows and she took her time! And did great job. I've never had my eyebrows done at a nail salon and was ready for a big booboo bit that didn't happen at all. Nicest people ever and my nails are perfect every time. I believe they've been under new ownership for at least a year and these people are just as good if not better! They're so thorough and my nails are always on point. I've tried other salons in winsted, Torrington, canton, and Avon and no one has done my nails and pedicures as good as these guys. Not to mention they're so so nice and friendly. I've broken a nail before and gone in there and they fixed it for me at no cost. They care about keeping their cliental happy and making sure their service is too notch! Also their prices are sooooo reasonable. I've paid upwards for $40 at other places for a sub par gel manicure. The lady at the salon gave me one of the best pedicures I've had in a long while. For a detox pedicure and gel polish it was $60.

Very nice and polite, no real signs of price that I saw on manicures, acrylics, gel or fills had to ask. The man with the blond hair watch his work the other man fixed my nail polish and I believe scolded him in his language. I couldn't be happier with the out come of my nails, I was expecting to pay at least 80 bucks and gasped when he said 63.00 okay now I can get on board with that. This is my guilty little pleasure I am a tomboy but I love my nails to be done so I definitely will be seeing them again and will always ask for the gentleman with the darker hair. read more

I made an appointment because of the great reviews I saw and glad I did even though it's a distance from where I live. Wonderful staff who constantly asked how things were going for each of us during our mani/pedis. In a great location where you can walk to get something to eat before or after. I've lived in Winsted for a year and 4 months now. For a little over a year I went to an amazing spot in Torrington. Their work was amazing. Downfall was the tech I had was also the owner and last time I went he got up SEVEN times during my appointment to tend to other things...so what should have been 1hr was 1hr 1/2 and this was a pretty consistent issue So I switched on recommendation to another spot in Torrington , Serenity Nails, see separate review as to why I left there. So nail salons are a dime dozen in Torrington and I really wanted something closer if possible.. so after some research.. I found there's not a whole lot in Winsted except for this place. Great reviews here and on FB and I live 5 min away... why not give it a shot.. right? Flawless work! Staff AND clients, so friendly. By the time I left I felt like I had been coming here for years. Went in for a pedicure and manicure. I barely got any massage during the pedicure - it was rushed! I also realized that they didn't bother to paint the end of my big toe nails which means it will likely peel or chip in a few days. For the manicure, I got talked into doing "dip" nails which seem like a huge mistake! They rushed through it just like my pedicure. Didn't even clean up my cuticles, or give me a real manicure. Just a factory of bare minimum service. My nails look completely unnatural from their dip job - Frankenstein nails, way to thick and completely uneven. worst service I ever had a and terrible waste of my money. read more

I went to this salon to have polish from a powder gel manicure removed. The technician used a small sanding tool to take off all of the polish. Apparently, she was overzealous. My nails are like paper. ALL of them have broken or chipped within the last 2 days. My nail beds are sore. two lessons here: 1. Speak up if you think something is wrong. My wife, a full right arm amputee, was charged FULL PRICE for a manicure. When questioned on this she stammered and gave my wife a $2 refund out of the $6 overcharge. Nice way to treat the disabled!! Ok so I had my nails done with gel and they came out wonderful and so beautiful. The workers were so nice and I saw how happy they were with customers like they'd laugh and tell stories. But I also had my toenails done with regular nail polish and they did a really sloppy job. It looks like it's going to peel when it's not and you can see all the layers they painted. When the young girl in the plaid was painting them, it seemed like she only pained half the nail and oh my god it looks so bad. If I wasn't for my finger nails. I wouldn't even give this 1/16 of a star. read more
