OMG I am so sad to give this very bad review, the service I had was lashes and tinting...,I complained about both but she continued to do it. turned my brows black uneven and waxed first then dyed no warning just did it DO NOT DO IT! the room is not clean the glue is toxic and not used by lash techs it burned my eyes lashes we're glued to my lid. I got a chemical burn it was horrible I've had lashes 8 years never had this happen. she doesn't tape lashes I wrestled with the idea of not reviewing but consciously I could not. when I called her to tell her she blamed me. never offered money back and honestly it was just so traumatic I saw 6 people including a client who was a Dr. it was unbelievable how hard they were. it took almost two hours to take them all off. it was over a week ago and my eyes still burn. I really like her I really like my nails but honestly please don't do lashes ever. so sorry Julie I didn't want to review but it was so painful. read more

Ugh! I can't say enough good things about Julie. She's absolutely amazing at what she does. I always love how my nails turn out they're perfect every time! Julie is on top of all the latest trends, so all I have to do is show her a picture, and she immediately knows exactly what I want. I usually lean toward simple styles, but she always guides me to the best shapes and colors that fit me. Highly recommend her! read more

Terrible work and service. I hate writing bad reviews but I felt unwanted when I got there and most of them were rude.

This place used to be the best and I was so happy to live so close to it. Then when they switched owners all the good nail techs left. I still decided to get my nails done here since it was close to home, but now my nails chip after ONE day. On top of that the owner overlaps her appointments so my nails do not get the care they need. I won't be coming back. read more

Got a full set of acrylics at this salon and went elsewhere to get them removed later. Well the other salon told me as they were removing them that they used ILLEGAL MMA DENTAL POLYMER to bind the acrylic (meant to be PERMANENT), which is cheaper and much stronger but harder to remove at the end than the standard bonding mix for acrylics. When I started patronizing this business the husband and wife were like family, it slowly became evident that the wife has some issues. Today for spring I chose a beautiful pink gel color, the husband painted my nails and the wife did my pedicure. Clearly they had put two incorrect colors in the same container so the wife painted my toenails Orange. When I pointed this out to her she started immediately screaming, yelling, cursing and then told me that the reason my feet came out a different color was that my natural nails were dark? She then began physically pushing me and I told her to stop. Her son said something to her and she ran inside, came out with the correct color, and then told me to wait and she would paint over the three coats that she did of the pink. I will never go back. I've been looking for a nail shop that is clean and reasonable with prices. Kathy did my nails, gel mani and pedi. It was $55 + tax. At first glance from new Britain ave, the place looks unattractive but a friend recommended this place so I decided to give it a try. It's Friday after thanksgiving 3 pm and I'm the only one in the store. Not sure if they get busier. They must because there are other techs here. The chair massager was my favorite. Haven't had a good one in a long time. This one hit the spot. Unlike other nail shops who are saving money on electricity, this place has their heat on which was a plus. I can comfortably have the fan on my feet and not feel cold. The slippers and toe separators are also new and not reused. So far I give this place a four. I first gave this salon a try last year after hopping around to different places in the area, and haven't gone anywhere else. Friendly staff, they speak TO you (NOT around you) very clean, good prices and always have had a great experience. I brought my mom with me once and she was impressed by how well her manicure came out, she went back the following week for a gel manicure and waxing services. For the price I expected it to be a lot more thorough. My pedicure in particular was rushed, my nails weren't even filed. My old nail varnish wasn't removed properly on my manicure and mistakes that were made were just hidden with a coat of paint which I can see through the top layer. Rude staff and bad technique. Don't waste your time or money. Did a poor job with cuticle clean up and nail polish application. The nail polish was too dry and clumpy. A second technician had to come fill in to fix the pedicure. I was asked to leave the salon with the foam slippers in the snow because they didn't want me to stay and dry my nails. Saying it was closing time. They charged my credit card $42.55 instead of $26 and then had to have a whole argument to get the rest of the money back. Terrible customer service. Awesome family owned Vietnamese. English is wonderful, very well spoken. I once went to some random salon and asked for acrylics painted white she gave me clear hah. *not this place Anyways nice place open till 7 which is awesome. They will accommodate if you're running late call them and they'll wait for you. I once called them at 630 on Xmas eve and they were great about it. Always had a good job done by them, never lifts and not obnoxiously thick to where you can't pick up a quarter if your fingers. Daughter is better than mom in my opinion but either one is good. HORRIBLE!!!!! I had asked Vu to do my nails and she said that she couldn't so she sent me to another nail person. My shellac manicure was all over my skin, it looked like a five year old did it... i went back two days later and complained to Vu about my nails and she happily fixed them, charging me another $30!!!
