I think very highly of the owner especially since he saved me from going to a dealership. I was warned that my compressor could be out but I asked the owner if we could start simple and he was comfortable with that. Sure enough a bad relay was to blame for me not having AC. He is very reasonable with his parts and labor charges if you compare them to a dealership.

I had called on a recommendation from a family member who had taken their vehicles to him exclusively for many years but after the treatment I received not only will Mike not recieve my business he will also be losing the longstanding business of my friends and family. Anyone who will treat a new perspective customer with that level of venom and disrespect obviously has all the business they can handle. I would never take a vehicle to this supposed professional because professionalism is the furthest from this "gentlemans" business model.

I feel he is honest and fair. On one occasion I went to Tomlinson's for a second opinion due to a major dealership said I needed a $1,600 part replaced. Greg did a diagnostic testing and determined that the $1,600 repair was not needed. In fact, that was over three years ago and the vehicle runs great and the part never replaced. I highly recommend this auto repair shop. Thank you Greg for saving me $1,600 plus much more. Sincerely, Cindy U

I brought my car in and they turned an estimate around in about 20 minutes, and scheduled the work for the next week. I will only bring my vehicles back to these guys to get work done. Outstanding!!

When we dropped off the car on April 8, 2018 his estimate to complete was 21 days. We paid $2752.50 which is 1/2 the cost for the deposit. I would call every so often to see how it was going on my car. Sometimes he would respond, but most times not. After some time went by I realized he was lying to me. I put in pictures to show the quality of work he does or does not do. I finally get the car back from him and I can not open the trunk and missing multiple parts. I also have a huge dent in the passenger door that was not there when I dropped it off to the shop. I would not take anything to this shop to be worked on. Did I mention Joe had this vehicle for almost two years. I got it back March 30, 2020. You would think working on someone's car for that long the quality of work would be impeccable. You can see for yourself that it is horrible.

I bought 2 quarts of oil, poured it in and it immediately poured right back on the ground. The station owners gave Mack Automotive's phone number; I called and Colin said he would come up and look at it and then come back after they closed and tow it to their place. After they closed he came up with his truck and a jack and fellow mechanics. They jacked it up and started checking on things, deciding that it was most likely the oil pan plug had come out. I am a mechanic's son and could tell from their diagnostic discussions that they were all experienced mechanics. They removed the under body pan and found the plug. They reinstalled it and added oil. The car started and sounded normal. Since the car had been serviced about two weeks earlier in IL they told me that I should call the dealer right then and there to report this incident, which I did before I started on. As I said, Colin and his crew are seasoned mechanics. But they are also good people. They could have said it was after hours and they would tow it to their place and work on it tomorrow. But they worked on it right there in the gas station lot, and I was on my way. Thank you, Colin and crew. You saved my trip to see my relatives!
