Crispy pork and potatoes.
Chantelle T.

Best meal in Copenhagen! Had this on our first night and it was everything I had hoped for in this Danish dish. Just for future reference, if pork + potatoes are on the menu I'll be there. Like, I'll leave a cloud of dust where I was standing because I'll be gone so quick. For a Friday night, this venue was fairly quiet. The service was lovely, English speaking (most people do speak English quite well here actually), wine selection was limited but good and the food, oh my god the food! The serving sizes are HUGE. This does not diminish the quality in any way. I had the pork, done differently from any way I've ever had it, but delicious all the same. I'm sure the official dish of Denmark is pork with potato and parsley sauce and this place delivers. Cut thinly and deep fried, each pork slice was incredibly crispy and well salted. Potatoes boiled to perfection along with a little bowl of chopped beetroot. With the amount of parsley sauce provided I could have gone swimming I'm it, it was insane! My partner had the classic roast beef served with boiled potatoes, peas, carrots, mushrooms, cooked cocktail onion and loganberry jam. This was one of the best meals I've had in a long time where I just alternated between crispy pork with parsley sauce and boiled potatoes. And when I was full? Well I just kept eating anyway. I never wanted this meal to end. We finished with a traditional Danish apple dish, sort of like a crumble. The apples were well flavoured and a nice way to finish the meal. A must go people! Pricing was decent in my view, with 2 alcoholic drinks, 2 mains and dessert the total cost came to just under £40. Well worth it!

Pretty good option for starving tourists and locals alike. Forgot what we had but I remember eating it all.

We liked the food too. My daughter got the shrimp and egg toast which was nice but it wasn't really enough for a full meal. She shared my Baked Hake main, which was lovely. Also the French Fries were to die for. Our server was knowledgeable and kind. We had an excellent experience at Cap Horn.

There were outside tables, but it was a bit chilly, so we opted for the nearly deserted inside restaurant. We had a table near the window, so it was a great view. The restaurant was nicely decorated and the service was very friendly. I ordered the gravlax open-faced sandwich, which is smoked salmon (very similar to lox) on an excellent sour dough bread. I opted to skip the mustard sauce, but the sandwich was perfect. My wife had the potato open-faced sandwich, which consisted of new potatoes, organic rye bread, lemon mayonnaise (romaleid), fried onions and pickled pearl onions. She really enjoyed it, along with her Spritz drink. Denmark seems to be one of those countries, where you cannot order tap water. Fair enough. However, our water consisted of an open carafe (which I'm sure was tap water), for which we were charged 50 Krona ($8). This seems high for tap water.
