They would rather hire someone who they can leech money from. They recently contacted a friend of mine for a contracting position. He was a very good fit for the job description and they chose him as a candidate for the interview process. He was able to finish the last stage of the 3-stage interview process with the company, and the hiring manager was very excited to hire him on board. It was a 100% certain he would be able to land the job as the feedback, face to face, was very positive. He didn't hear back from the recruiter for a week. When he did receive a call, the recruiter wanted to change the confirmed compensation rate to a number much much lower than was originally agreed upon. They would give him the offer letter, if he agreed upon the lower rate. CANDIDATES BEWARE, don't turn down other opportunities for positions offered by Ascent, they pull you in with false compensation packages and once you land the job, they try to change the rate to fit their needs. BUSINESSES, please don't lower your company's valuable business ethics by partnering or working with this talent agency. You can do much better by working with a talent agency who cares about your future employees. Very disappointed in this business.

While the recruiting / staffing industry is full of companies falsifying resumes and lying about degrees to get you to jobs, Ascent is dedicated to having high quality people in high quality positions. Also many staffing companies are based out of different countries with thick accents pressuring you to sign contracts and pay fees - Ascent is bay area company with local REAL LIVE PEOPLE that does not charge any sort of placement fee to applicants. Again, extremely rare for the industry. Also everyone is there is really friendly and outgoing- it's high energy kind of company to work with. I could see how if your a less than desirable candidate, or someone who is used to the lying, and falsifying of resumes this place would NOT be for you. However if you're looking for a good position, with a great company and really friendly awesome people to help get you there than look no further. I can honestly say because of the Ascent Services Group I was able to get my dream job, in my dream location in the field I was looking for. I'm not sure it gets any better than that.

M- "sure" R- " great, i'll send an email to your email". *click I called back no answer. she calls me back within 10 minutes. tells me I HAVE to meet with her first, then she'll send me upstairs to interview. her explanation of the job is to "help people with their warranties and if they didn't have them"- get loud and dramatic and go through the works' she states that it's busy and she's all alone. I asked to speak with a manager and she says she is the manager, instead of allowing me to finish letting her know how she didn't inform me of any information and how unprofessional she is she decides to cut me off and ask me if I have any questions, which she couldn't answer. didn't know information about benefits, only told me of the pay and schedule and stated she would email me the interview information. she went on to explain how people come downstairs to thank her of her amazing placement and that people love her. its been 2 hours and I haven't received an email nor a phone call and i left 3 messages. I feel like she didn't want me to attend the interview because I let her know how off-putting she was and how her first impression was horrible and how she was very rude and unprofessional. this is my first experience with staffmark and fidelity and I would NOT recommend them. Her name started with an S- I wish I could remember it. BUT SHE A VERY RUDE, and short iNDIVIDUAL. and if this is the person you want as your "front head" tells me a lot about the staffing company and the companies who hire her to help them meet their requirements and staff.

I worked only 2 weeks and half a day Staffmart person told me crock of lies that I would get $18.00 hour and job is temp to permanet. While working I heard one office manager advise 2 guys had come back unannounced from disability leave so it was a game changer I heard her say. I asked if im still needed she did not know. Staffmart said not to worry they always need someone. I knew something was not right. Patti never called me back and her emails soon bounced back. I only found out she quit working for Staffmark and a christine only called me once but noted for some reason said she left two messages I was no longer needed for I was considered by the company as " talk-a-tive". I was often left alone in the warehouse doing billing. Never talking to anyone. Something is very wrong with this agency their manager never called me back and said they would actively look for work for me. I have done nothing wrong and will never work for a temp agency. They knew it and lied that this job was never temp to permanet and gave me false hope. Its 9-21 and a I still have not been paid. I cant even get on their website to see my info. I guess Im to new if an employee.
