    Hummus

Lovely service and wonderful food! Great portions and flavor- often times falafel can be very dry but this was perfect!

    Baklava

Syrian chef restaurant Wow! Incredible, delicious and such a warm generous atmosphere. The owner (I assume) greeted us with such a kind smile and even gave our son a snack. He was patient and gentle while we kept a tired hungry kiddo busy as well. We got a chicken schwarma wrap, lamb plate, hummus with pita and baklava for dessert. The lamb and rice had wonderful flavor and it all was so fresh. The chicken schwarma was warm, well seasoned and moist. The lambs flavor was perfect. The hummus plate was SO good our little guy devoured it! Adding some hummus with the rest of our dishes was the icing on the cake. Grabbed some baklava for the road and Oh. My. Word. It's truly incredible, best Ive ever had. We cleaned our plates, yet don't feel too heavy from our meal. We are not newbies to Mediterranean food and this is definitely some of the best we've had. We came in for dinner with our little guy around 5 and it was empty. I would love to see this place, and the wonderful humans who run it, get the attention they deserve!

The food was at best bland. One dish cold. Tzatziki unrecognizable. Won't be going back.

Then, on a trip to the Oregon coast, we happened to be going through Corvallis at lunchtime and decided to stop. We are SO glad we did. All of the other Yelp reviews said it was really good, but few mentioned any specific dish. Except for the hummus, which received off-the-chart good reviews. So we tried the Lamb Hummus dish as well as the Musakhan Rolls, which is a chicken with caramelized onions wrapped in fresh grilled bread. Both were excellent with some notes. The Musakhan Rolls said they come with a garlic sauce. The sauce was excellent, but tasted more like a tart yogurt/sour cream sauce to us. Not a strong garlic flavor. The lamb in the hummus was also very good, but kind of bland. We love lamb when it is prepared well (we usually only order from a Middle Eastern restaurant) and this was prepared perfectly. We just felt it could stand a little more flavor or spice. However, the hummus. Oh. My. Word. The hummus. All of those off-the-chart reviews were spot on. The hummus had to be the best hummus we have ever had in our lives. And we eat a variety of foods from a variety of places. It was the perfect amount of garlic and so creamy, we actually used our fingers to wipe the bowl and get that last remaining bits of the hummus. Our service was excellent. It is family-owned and our server was very pleasant and hospitable. The inside is decorated in what appears to be Syrian decor and is nicely done. Now we have to connect with our friends and go back sometime soon for dinner. Yumm!

I questioned the lamb kabobs that were served to us. Instead of chunks of lamb, it was ground lamb. The manager said these were Syrian kabobs and that's the way they are made.

Reviewing the menu, there were lots of yummy things to choose from but ultimately we both could not resist the Lamb shank. I'm sad I didn't take a picture of it. It was so tender and delicious. It came with perfect Basmati rice and a side of eggplant stew that was exquisite! I've never had eggplant stew and it was luscious. I dream to about it all night long. It was quiet, comfortable, music was great; songs we all know but with native instruments and flare. We had house red wine - not a big selection of alcohol, which is fine the food is and should be the star. Our sever (Sorry my old lady brain forgot his name) but the good looking bald guy(LOL) was nice and personable. It was such a great low key dining experience that just made the day even better. I highly recommend this cute place and we will be back- there are a lot more wonderful food to try!

As a moroccan and as an arab, i'm tempted to say this food is even better than my own mother's food...i really hope my mom doesn't see this! the decor in the restaurant is really beautiful, artsy, and deeply reflective of the culture. equally, if not more importantly, the woman who owns this restaurant and prepares the food is one of the sweetest and kindest people i've ever met! not only is the food incredibly delicious and fulfilling but the hospitality is truly unmatched - i felt genuinely welcomed, almost at home, while eating here. i wish i could give this restaurant 10 stars but alas! thank you so much!

As my wife and I were driving away from Levant, she said, "Do you still taste dinner?" I replied, "Yes and it is STILL great!" My wife ordered the lamb shwarma and I ordered the Mediterranean moussaka (not the Greek moussaka...an important distinction. When we ordered there was a communication short circuit and the woman behind the counter (AND behind the phone, AND at the stove, AND restocking supplies) thought I wanted the vegetarian moussaka. When I brought the plate up and said there was no meat, she immediately brought me some super yummy lamb to mix in. (What service!) As alluded to previously, lady holding down the fort was a dynamo! I don't think she stopped moving the entire time we were eating in. On the phone taking orders...cooking...taking orders/payment. And do all this with an air of grace and a smile on her face. We will be back. Being a coffee snob, I would like to take their Turkish Coffee for a spin!

They also had a special dinner buffet with selective vegetarian & non-vegetarian options for a fixed price. We also had the option to order off the main menu. There is also a bar area up front with smaller tables. The staff were very friends and kudos to them to handling a bigger group without any issues. You can tell they are happy to be there and share their cuisine. We started with warm Meat Warak Enab (Grape leaves filled with seasoned ground beef, basmati rice, and chick-peas, simmered with lemon, olive oil, garlic, and herbs) and they were some of the best I've had if you compare them to dolmas. The pita bread was served in a plastic bag which is a bit off-putting (but worked great for a to-go bag and did keep the pitas warm). It was soft and fresh and tearable for their incredible hummus and baba ghannoj. I got the Maza Al-Amir "Lebanese Tour" with kharouf (which is Arabic for lamb). It was the most succulent lamb I've had in my life on a bed of basmati rice with a few raisins (they blended in well) and a tangy fresh parsley/onion/tomato/lemon mixture alongside generous portions of hummus and baba ghannooj, a chilled veggie warak enab, and a crispy and flavorful falafel with some tabooli. They also served a special house red sauce and said it was to go with the rice. I loved it; it was like a beautiful homemade marinara. My friends had Turkish coffee and the aroma of cardamom around the table made my heart warm. I'll be back! Bisehetkon! (Cheers to a group)
