It took a week and they set up an appointment, which got cancelled the night before. The worker could no longer help us. They called a week later to say its hard to find a worker for 3 hours a day 5 days a week that most of our care givers want full time. We haven't heard from them since. When I called today they felt when they said that its hard to find someone for 3 hours that meant they were done helping us. We would have been open to 4 hours less days it didn't come up. It stressful enough to have an aging parent but then this is how were dealt with.

I don't know where my original review went, but we are extremely unhappy with them, and let me tell…read moreyou why: 1) They are late. 5-10 minutes is understandable, but when they are anywhere between 25-45 (yes, 45!!) minutes late, it's unacceptable. And multiple times--at least 4 times, causing us to be late to work because my grandma cannot answer the door by herself so we could not leave when we needed to. Additionally, when their caregivers are late, we did not even get courtesy calls. We had to call them to be like, ???, and then we'd hear "oh, they went to the wrong address" or "oh, their car didn't start" but this was never communicated to us until WE called. This tardiness is also not specific to one girl; there is only one caretaker who was consistently on time but we have a HUGE issue with her work ethic, which leads us to... 2) Laziness! The company puts in its bio that their caregivers will do light housework for their patients. My 92-year-old grandmother (93 in two weeks, go her!) asked this caretaker to put away the clean dishes. She responded that's not her job, unless she herself ate something. That in and of itself is weird, but then the kicker was that my grandma did not want to wait to have them put away, so she got up and started doing them. The lady STILL DID NOT HELP even after her patient got up and 'walked' (she needs a walker to take a few steps, and a wheelchair for any longer trips) herself to the dishwasher and started putting them away. It was only after my grandmother had put away about half before she became too tired that this lady stepped in. Seriously?? Our coverage needs are about 3-4 hours a day, and if she cannot be bothered to do anything during that time, what's the point of her? 3) Fudging hours. This is a biggie. In the last three months alone, we've had to have four invoices adjusted because caretakers were calling in from their mobile phones before they arrived at the house. As I mentioned earlier, we stay at the house until the caretaker gets there, and we have records of when they actually show up & leave. They keep putting in hours that they were there before the arranged time, even if they were on time or even late! Luckily Care & Comfort itself was amenable to modifying the bills to show accurate times. So needless to say, we are completely done with this service. I will say their administrators and schedulers are fine, but that can't make up for the bad care. If you want to use them, that's your prerogative, but we highly suggest you look elsewhere if you actually want caregivers who are punctual, honest, and actually help their clients.

She refused to listen to my husband's directions and kept getting lost. She treated him like he was an idiot when it was she who was the idiot. When I called, complained and said don't every send her again she is nuts. The next time I called them they refused to do business with me. How was it my fault they sent a neurotic crazy person? There are many other good agencies who screen their people and treat their clients like humans.

Through a series of inept replacements, they kept sending unqualified caretakers who repeatedly violated her wishes, used my toothbrush to clean the bathroom, dyed our clothes pink by putting pink and red in the laundry together, scratched our kitchen counters and even failed to show up one day. The agency didn't seem to vet their caretakers. They didn't consider our needs when hiring for our family and don't seem to care about the families when hiring caretakers.

I asked what she saw, apparently the house was a mess??? It's a condo and I know it wasn't a "mess". Sorry Barbara and Eva's, there are other agencies out there.

Rehab for the soul. It really is about the people with these places. They can make up as many…read moreweird exercises as they want, so long as they're personable, kind and genuinely caring about what they do. And it seems like they are. Julie and Melissa are the coolest. They're funny, nice and most importantly, they're concerned about my progress. That goes for Shivani too, the substitute that helped me out in the beginning. She was great too. Even Alysa, who put me in time out to do my chair pushups, is nice. She's just shy people. Like I said, rehab for the soul? I have fun when I'm in there. It's usually a riot when I'm there, and that seems to be the best thing for me when it comes to taking care of my elbow. Prevents me from obsessing over it. The relaxed atmosphere, the joking and playing around - it's really helped me. They're pretty intuitive about how to handle all their clients, whether they need some extra attention, a little motivation, or if it's just pulling their chain. To me, that means they're paying attention and not just going through the motions in their day job. I can appreciate that. It probably helps that I bring them drinks when I come in...

I have Dealt with Loving Care on numerous occasions. First with my father and then with my mother…read more. Naomi who is the owner has gone out of her way to respond immediately to anything that we wanted done. When we would call her and explain what it was that was needed in help, within an hour she had 4 or 5 people call me. We were then able to explain our needs to them, meet with them and see what would work for both of us. She did not get annoyed if the needs of ours were not met with these people and she would not hesitate to send over additional people. She always understood what it was that we wanted and as my parents needed more care she was able to provide the right individuals. Once someone was hired she would follow up and be sure that we were both pleased (us as well as the caregiver) and she would check periodically as well. Naomi is caring, responsive, concerned, and on top of all the requirements that you may need. I would highly recommend her and the proof is in the fact that we have repeatedly used her for the past 8 years. The caregiver we have now is from Naomi and has been with us for 3 1/2 years. Dealing with her now is difficult, she is now very unprofessional and rude. It is a shame- they had a good reputation in the past, but apparently they have gone downhill just like the marketplace.
