Being on the younger side of the age scale, I realized how difficult it was to provide satisfactory services to a population that ranged 30 years age difference and untold illnesses. But, somehow they did. Mostly in a caring and respectable manner. They make it a point to know everybody's name and to address them by it. Not having another Nursing Home to judge it by. They deserve 5 stars, I deducted a personal 1/2 star only because the population is on restricted diets and I'm a picky eater.

The care is exceptional and the customer service is second to none. The 5 Star rating that they received from CMS (government agency overseeing healthcare facilities) is further proof that this facility provides the BEST care to its patients. My Mom then entered into Hospice and Suncrest came in about 3 months ago and Gloria was her nurse Mon-Fri, she really cared for my Mom in a special way and took good care of her along with the staff at the Waverly. Red from Suncrest was just as amazing, keeping me updated every week, They both are very compassionate and love what they do and it shows. The last week of her life Red and Gloria helped me through it all. and Gisela and her staff at the Waverly as well. The social worker Stephanie, was actually there in the room when my Mom took her last breath. She looked so beautiful, Gloria would dress her, put a little blush & lipstick on and when she passed, she looked like an angel, Both of these places are so wonderful. Together, they are the best choice if you are needing care and compassion for your loved one.

Suncrest Hospice blocked my phone number, effectively avoiding accountability for their corrupt administration. I want to clarify that my concerns are not about the nurses or CNAs; it is the administration that is entirely corrupt. I urge everyone to request their medical records and read every detail carefully. The lies, misinformation, immaturity, and irresponsible behavior I encountered were unacceptable. I am a 58-year-old daughter who lost my mom, and instead of offering support, they made my grief and panic even worse. I do not recommend this organization because of the administration--particularly people like Timothy Dance--not because of the dedicated nurses and CNAs involved in my mom's care.

Nurses bullied us into letting them take my grandfather for "a few days" because they wanted to manage his symptoms better. He was taken last night and we got a call this morning that he died. They didn't feed him. They didn't give him his medications. They didn't check his oxygen levels because they "don't usually do that" but they PROMISED THEY WOULD BECAUSE IT WOUKD MAKE US FEEL BETTER FOR HIS OXYGEN TO BE STABILIZED. They pumped him up with morphine when we specifically said we only give it to him once a day before sleep. They took him away from us to leave him in a room by himself and die.

We were assigned Emily as our case manager and she was great to work with. However, we interacted the most with Grace who was on-call at the time we engaged them and helped my Dad a good bit during his last couple of days. Grace was super patient with us when we asked lots of questions about his care and hospice in general. LifeChoice also provided a rabbi for us and I think my father really appreciated that the rabbi visited with him for over an hour. I think they provided my father a lot of peace and comfort during his final days. My only regret was not engaging them sooner. Their whole demeanor and attitude is that of angels, compassion, empathy, love..When he was in the hospital, he was not receiving the proper pain management, they kept delaying the hospitals hospice program while my dad was dying in pain. I was desperate to get him home. Alena, the administrator, moved mountains to make that happen. They got my dad home in less than 18 hours, they were by my father's bedside within two hours of me calling desperate for help, which felt like a miracle during such a difficult time. Daniel, the nurse who came to the hospital, was so attentive and caring such a such a genuine person. And once we were home, nurse Julie and nurse Grace took over and truly went above and beyond. They made sure the bed oxygen tanks supplies and meds was delivered before my dad even got home.They made sure my dad was comfortable, out of pain, and surrounded by dignity and respect--something he was not receiving in the hospital. there was also a Sweet CNA that came to help as well, Because of them, my dad was able to pass peacefully at home, just as he deserved. That means everything to me my father and our family. All of my father's friends and loyal family were able to come visit with him before he passed the next morning.. I highly recommend this hospice agency to anyone going through end-of-life care for a loved one--or even for themselves. Don't wait until the last minute. Room is larger than most hospital rooms and has a nice setup with a mini-fridge like a pretty large dorm for 2 people. Dad was chillin like a villain. Food is better than the local hospitals or the crappy Citadel and their level of care was good to my Dad... he like most of Boomers... was annoy af most of the time and they handled it well Note: their idea of PT is not as solid as an outpatient therapy location... dont expect that level of service.

Almost all those who cared for her when I was present did so in a very professional manner upon my observation. Overall I feel it is an excellent facility though I do have a few questions. I noticed that there are not any cameras there. One morning when I arrived earlier than usual and there was a situation I found alarming in my mother's room so I approached the only staff I saw present at the time to alert her. The staff member did not seem happy that I pointed what I saw out and was belligerent. I wanted to report this yet when I tried I was told that the staff member said I invaded her personal space which I didn't and that there were witnesses. Actually though I never invaded her space and since her and I were the only ones in the room I don't see how there could have been witnesses. Saying this though highlights the fact that if there were cameras it would allow those in charge to see what really happened. Safety inside and outside of facilities like this is important for many reasons.
