The menu and food were pretty decent for a chain restaurant. We came for brunch to this location. At the time that we went, there was a big party with lots of kids so the place was very loud and they seemed a bit understaffed. It was very slow to get servers' attention, but understandably so - they were busy and occupied with the big party and other patrons (the place was very packed). But luckily our food came out in a timely manner. Our server was friendly and helpful. The build-your-own omelettes came out perfect with all the ingredients that we wanted (all vegetables). I liked the degree of customizations and substitutions that we we were able to make (3 egg whites and 1 yolk, substituted the potatoes with side salad, had the salad dressing on the side, etc.). Portion size of each dish was perfect for each individual. Although technically the lunch menu items weren't supposed to start at 11 am, we were able to get a few sides from that menu (side steamed vegetables and big Meditteranean Salad) - glad they were able to make that accommodation. read more

Slow and poor service....waited 20 min for water and had to ask 3 times ...wrong drink given charged extra for syrup that was missed..avocado was rotten and spinach soggy. Only 3 other tables so very slow but drinks and food took forever over 49 mins...waitress needs customer service training and needs to hustle a bit Lots of options for dining out and they don't seem to get that. New manager vey nice though and open to feedback. read more

While the food is great, and staff try their best, service is sub-par due to poor management. Training is poor because staff is not properly trained. I had a lovely meal but it was not what I had wanted to order, because staff had not been trained with proper information about menu options. I will return and try again, only because of the accommodating staff. read more

Came to have an anniversary supper tonight for my bf's parents. It was the first time we had dinner at this franchise. My bf ordered the schnitzel supper and was a little disappointed. The pork loin wasn't pounded to a thin piece of meat as schnitzel is supposed to be like. The sides were about 5 small mini roasted potatoe rounds cut into half and a little bit of steamed veggies. The gravy wasn't very special. He also ordered the cheddar broccoli soup which was good but lacked salt. Bf's dad ordered the butter chicken poutine and really enjoyed them. The topping was very generous and there was a good spicy taste to it. Bf's mom ordered the marinara mussels appetizer which was 1 lb of mussels. There were about 20 of them and 2 small wedges of garlic toast. She said they were very good and enjoyed them. i ordered the teriyaki salmon salad bowl with the fish on the side and wanted the salad to be dressed with their house made ranch sauce. I loved the many veggies and cherry tomatoes on the salad and it was all cut up well so i didn't have to cut it myself. However it's funny because they served it to me in a bowl and not like the photograph in the menu. i also had to add a sprinkle of salt and pepper to enhance the salmon. It was a nice fresh piece of salmon but very small. It was also quite expensive. For dessert, my bf's dad and i shared the cookie sundae. Not only was it terribly overpriced and underwhelming. The "cookie" appeared to be more of a very hard round cupcake minus the icing and it was quite hard. Maybe it was made a day or more ago. It was nice with the ice cream but really the dessert was meant for only person to enjoy. Overall, the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. Felt like a family style European Mediterranean vibe. The music was just loud enough that it was not blaring. The waitstaff was friendly and our server seemed to be a newbie so he did a pretty good job. It's closer to 3.5 stars. I have nothing bad to say about the cafe. But also nothing super exciting to say either. It's an average place to eat. The menu prices are reasonable. Seating is easy to find without reservation. The place is new renovation. Clean bathrooms. It's just one of those average places to eat, comparable to Jack Astor's or Boston Pizza, where the food is decent but nothing surprising or superb. I would go back for a meet up, it's a good place to bring the little kids. And I like that they have meals and snack size or dessert options. read more

Went August 3rd and had fish tacos and a mojito. Didn't want onions and was told only in the coleslaw, which I wasn't going to eat, buy coleslaw was on taco and included peppers which I don't eat either. Neither item was mentioned on menu. No complaints but it wasn't a w o w. Clean and stylish. I enjoyed their Canada Day lobster dip but their wraps are not worth the price.

This was my first time at the new location. I had the grilled veggie wrap with sweet potato fries on the side. The veggies in the wrap were well cooked, not soggy. Our server, Sebastian, was super nice and really helpful! Made our meal that much more enjoyable. read more

Absolutely terrible service. Doesn't even deserve the one star. We have been a few times and every time has been disappointing. It was as though our waitress and the restaurant manager couldn't be bothered to make sure the customers were happy with both the service and food (which was also terrible). It took an hour and 10 minutes for breakfast (for French Toast and an Omelette). The only good thing about the restaurant was the kind hostess at the front. read more
