Had to travel between Georgetown and Temple a few times and wanted breakfast tacos. Saw this on Yelp and decided to give it a try. First time I went there, we got a bunch of different breakfast tacos and a steak fajita Gordita. The tacos were wolfed down and everyone enjoyed the warm tortillas. The reviews are right that the chorizo is a little too greasy, which is good for a day at the winery or a hangover and I had neither of those. The Gordita was my favorite. The second time was lunch time and I got the brisket torta that was all bread, brisket had no flavor and reason for losing a star. The service was great and they kept the lines moving and apologized for the wait. If you're driving by or staying in Salado, I would recommend either the tacos and especially the Gorditas. read more

Decent tacos for a quick stop in Salado on our way to Fort Worth. The chorizo was so greasy it made a huge mess, but the rest was really good. Beans were very good. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to stop here again for tacos, but for what it was, it was good. Prices are super cheap, so no complaint there. read more

Sylvias Tacos are my absolute favorite! Such amazing flavor. They are a little small, so I would recommend getting a few tacos, but for sure try their breakfast tacos and beef fajita lunch taco. WORTH EVERY PENNY! Great customer service, fast, and yummy! read more

Homemade tortillas! This is THE go to place for breakfast tacos. Try the bacon and potato tacos without egg or cheese and then pour some green hot sauce on it for a deliciously light taco. If you're buying a large quantity for the office, this is also a good place to stop at the last minute. They'll make them to order. They also have the usual gorditas, barbacoa, chicharrón, fajita, and chorizo. It's a food truck, so you'll need to wait standing outside. The wait is not long, though! They're fast! They used to have good service but now every order I've gotten has been absolutely wrong. I always order a taco with bacon, egg, potato, and cilantro and now I get missing ingredients with added cheese. The tacos have been quite skimpy too. I'm very disappointed because this used to be my favorite taco place and now it's at the very bottom of my list. Sadly, I do not recommend. read more

We stopped here on our way to Waco from Austin. It's right off the freeway and the breakfast tacos were super yummy! The tortillas are homemade and delicious. The red salsa was just the right level of spicy - I'm not a fan of really spicy foods, but this had just enough heat to make me want another bite... and another! The owners clearly take pride in the food they serve and made us feel welcome. read more

Sylvia's Tacos are the best in the Austin through Waco area! I have searched high and low for the food they make here. I have honestly tried every place I could find through the area and found they make the best picadillo. Home made tortillas and will build it the way you like it! This little taco truck is well worth the turn off of I-35! The brisket taco with spicy red sauce was great - full of flavor and prepared with cilantro and onions, as I prefer. The chicken fajita taco was good, too, but dry. My husband said the Barbacoa tacos he ate were excellent, but I can't confirm, as he devoured them too quickly for me to grab a bite. I'll be sure to recommend this stop for anyone passing through Salado. read more

They said the steak was good, and the shrimp and chicken were fine. The food was good overall, but the service was so slow and inattentive that it made for a poor dining experience. Stopped on our way out of Texas and toward Kentucky based on Yelp. Food was delicious! We had breakfast tacos: two with egg, potatoes & cheese, and three with bacon, egg, & cheese (and salsa on the side). The tacos' tortillas are on the smaller side, but for the low price that should be expected, but they have plenty of filling. Service was fast and friendly. It's not in a building but a pull trailer in a graveled lot, so don't pass it up. We do recommend eating here. read more

The cook offered me salsa. OMGosh! Don't skip the green salsa. Salsa is homemade, fresh, full of flavor, and just enough heat to give you a little sniffle.
