I love Sylvia's! When passing through this quaint village, I make sure to stop in for tacos. My go to is the egg and brisket taco ! Served on a fresh handmade tortilla with her signature red chile , no other breakfast taco comes close to hitting the spot. Always fresh, timely service. Had to travel between Georgetown and Temple a few times and wanted breakfast tacos. Saw this on Yelp and decided to give it a try. First time I went there, we got a bunch of different breakfast tacos and a steak fajita Gordita. The tacos were wolfed down and everyone enjoyed the warm tortillas. The reviews are right that the chorizo is a little too greasy, which is good for a day at the winery or a hangover and I had neither of those. The Gordita was my favorite. The second time was lunch time and I got the brisket torta that was all bread, brisket had no flavor and reason for losing a star. The service was great and they kept the lines moving and apologized for the wait. If you're driving by or staying in Salado, I would recommend either the tacos and especially the Gorditas. read more

Decent tacos for a quick stop in Salado on our way to Fort Worth. The chorizo was so greasy it made a huge mess, but the rest was really good. Beans were very good. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to stop here again for tacos, but for what it was, it was good. Prices are super cheap, so no complaint there. read more

They used to have good service but now every order I've gotten has been absolutely wrong. I always order a taco with bacon, egg, potato, and cilantro and now I get missing ingredients with added cheese. The tacos have been quite skimpy too. I'm very disappointed because this used to be my favorite taco place and now it's at the very bottom of my list. Sadly, I do not recommend. read more

This little taco truck is well worth the turn off of I-35! The brisket taco with spicy red sauce was great - full of flavor and prepared with cilantro and onions, as I prefer. The chicken fajita taco was good, too, but dry. My husband said the Barbacoa tacos he ate were excellent, but I can't confirm, as he devoured them too quickly for me to grab a bite.
