    Steak a la Mexicana
    Ike S.

First time in the new business since the changeover. The menu has changed, but the food and service were pretty good. There were only a few people eating so we got lots of attention. There was music playing in the background. It was a bit loud, but I assume it helps drown out conversations from other tables when it's crowded. No biggie there. We had chips and salsa to start with. For our entrees, we had street tacos, taco plate (chipotle pineapple chicken), and steak a la Mexicana. All of the entrees were good. We'd definitely get them again. The charro beans lacked a bit of flavor butter weren't supposed to be the star of the plate anyway. We had a top shelf and regular margaritas. The top shelf costs almost the same as one of the entrees, which was a bit disappointing. They were good. Will definitely come back to try more menu options at some point, even though lots of traditional Mexican menu items aren't served here. Maybe that's a good thing.

My first visit was ok, the street taco platter was solid , charro beans were decent , our next visit was not as pleasurable , the service was lacking both times even when there were barely any other customers there . Yesterday's visit we were sucked in by our children wanting to play in the bounce house ... we sat outside for about 10 mins before someone finally brought us menus . We knew what we wanted by the time they got there as we just came for drinks and queso . When the drinks finally arrived ( I got a raspberry marg, and wife got prickly pear marg) It appeared I was drinking mostly raspberry syrup on the rocks. It left an awful coating on my teeth , usually you can at least taste the alcohol .. I let it water down a little bit as it was hot outside ... hoping it would help the thickness of the drink, it did not. In the mean time we watched the 3 other tables also seated outside yet their meals when we ordered our chips and queso before them , our server never reappeared . My wife took our drinks to the bar to say something only to be ignored by the bartender which was on his phone "googling what ingredients were in a sangria" She stood there a bit longer then just ended up telling the hostess that the drinks were not good , and we hadn't received our chips and queso . So we left. Sorry Provecho. I miiiiiiiight give you one more chance .... If the bounce house is still around ... also drink prices aren't very friendly .....

Try this restaurant out for the first time and absolutely loved it. Our server was on top of everything and our drinks were never empty. The food is full of flavor and this was a great place to eat great Mexican food and enjoy some cold drinks with pretty views. This is also a very family friendly place if you're looking for a great place to bring the kids I will definitely be here again.

The service was really good and the restaurant open and clean with a large outdoor area. the food was mediocre and bland, Mexican cuisine is usually very flavorful.....this was not.

DO NOT MISS! The food and the owner, Brooke, are amazing! Brooke uses a special house-made spice blend on the chips to start with your drinks! Get the skinny Paloma and anything on the menu! Such a wonderful flavor, big portions, and just delish! Brooke is very friendly and gave great suggestions for our visit.

Chili Lime Chicken and Sweet Potato Bowl

Imagine our surprise when we entered this eatery thinking it was Italian and began reading the Mexican menu, but MAN - we were glad we stayed! We were so intrigued by the name at this point we did a Google search and the first response read as follows: When eating, provecho means 1. Enjoy Your Meal ~ Similar to saying "bon appétit!" 2. Benefit From Your Meal ~ v. "to benefit from" or "to take advantage of." Buen provecho also means "I hope your food is nutritious and is good for your body." 3. Let's Eat I had the Chili Lime Chicken and Sweet Potato Bowl. Don't worry spice sissies like me, when I asked the waiter how "chili" the chili lime is he was spot on when he said it's not spicy at all! It was my first time trying cauliflower rice - it was GREAT - and the lime and seasoning on the chicken was savory and refreshing! There is spacious seating inside, outdoor seating, and a parking lot adjacent to the restaurant with ample spots. Buen provecho, all!

Marcella did a great job- her recommendations of the enchiladas and Poblano bowl and quesadilla plate filled us with smiles. Thanks Lori for the recommendation and Brooke we love your restaurant!!

Food was great. Salsa was good. Queso is a little runny. Wait staff just needs to learn to look over at table for request.

We've gotten to know the owner and the staff over our visits and they're accommodating and so fun to talk to. The cantina side is great, so many tequila options and Brittany will teach you and expose you to so many new ones and is always making a new drink special. There is no place in a small town like Jarrell to get custom, creative, delicious, and beautiful cocktails other than El Pitayo!! The cantina side has a great atmosphere and the owner has donated to amazing causes and participates in the community events as much as possible. They also have fun events like tequila tastings, Valentine's painting events with custom menus and cocktails, etc. It truly is a gem of a little place and we love it. My friend door dashed the birria tacos to work in Georgetown regularly for solid month straight because she was hooked. Try it! On top of that, the customer service always exceeds my expectations, which is exactly why I keep coming back. I recommend this place 100%. I promise you won't regret it!

I mentioned to my wife that these kinds of places often have kitchens and boy we were in luck. The man in charge, Albert, descended on us and started simultaneously asking what we wanted to order AND praising the virtues of his tamales, among other things. But he had me at "Birria". After being introduced to birria tacos by my lifelong friend, Joel, I have been a huge fan ever since. So we called an audible and decided to get an order for takeout (Albert could convince you to buy anything, I think). We got two orders of Corn QuesaBirria Tacos and the Jalapeño Popper Specialty Taco. Both were great and I especially liked the Birria Tacos, even eating my wife's portion... "You going to eat that?" Outside of the corner kitchen, convenience store is great, with all of the different varieties of foods, beers and other items that you would expect at Mexican convenience store.

The food is good but I, personally, don't think I can eat here again. The tacos are greasy and I think whatever they use to cook gives me really bad gas (bloating). So if you're stomach-sensitive, I do not recommend.
