The Tucson location did not deliver the experience as proposed, this location has more students than tutors. Tutoring Club has continuously "dropped the ball". I requested the attendance logs upon cancelation and there were numerous discrepancies. Double entry of hours logged and hours logged when I had canceled with documented communication within the appropriate time frame. The owner Chad Hrenko has gone against the Tutoring Club Corporate office. Which advised him to pay me in full minus the cancelation fee because the Tutoring Club cancelation policy which was not given to me or signed at the time of registration. CHECK YOUR HOURS. Ask your school for a tutor referral list.

It is soon to reopen (after needing repairs) and I went to check out their new website and saw this lone review on yelp that does not represent the amazing school that I have known and loved for years and years. The Director, Emily McCrea, is so connected to her teach through love philosophy. My children got a solid foundation of social emotional skills that have carried them strongly into elementary school. Parenting wasn't a breeze for me and I benefited greatly from her parent coaching from day to day, and from school parent meet ups/teach talks. I also signed up for her "Teach Through Love" classes that have been invaluable both with my parenting and with adult relations alike. She's soon to be awarded the Cecilia Avalos Parent Educator Award, and I can say she deserves it ten fold! I have made life long friendships within the DCS community and we still meet up every month to keep that connection going. That being said the community part is very real, and it has been so rewarding for my kids to have those early childhood bonds still in tact, and make new friends as the community grows!! I endured this, however. I completed my studies at Carrington and went on to deal with a very difficult externship. I was so excited to graduate and walk across the stage. When that day came, I found myself in the hospital after a horrible accident. I reached out to the staff at Carrington and asked them if I could please be given the opportunity to participate in a later graduation ceremony, so I could still walk across the stage and celebrate all the hard work I had put in and endured. I was told that I would hear from Kathy Bailey about participating in the next graduation ceremony. I never heard from her. It has been 10 months. Ive already accepted the fact that I will not be getting a graduation. The robes that I purchased with my own hard earned money are collecting dust and will never be worn. This is my own experience at carrington. I strongly encourage any student seeking to further their education to look elsewhere. Don't waste your time and your energy.

Extremely Disappointing Experience -- Buyer Beware I signed…read moreup for Varsity Tutors on Wednesday evening and was told that their product would work on all tablets. No one disclosed to me during the sign-up process that the product actually requires an Apple or Android device with Google Chrome. We have neither. Even more concerning, no one told me that I had only 24 hours from the time of purchase to log in and verify that the product worked. Had I been given that information, I obviously would have made it a priority to log in immediately and test the service. Instead, I logged in for the first time approximately 48 hours after signing up, only to discover that we could not use the product with our devices. I immediately contacted customer service to explain the situation and request a refund. The representative I spoke with was extremely dismissive and unhelpful. I was told that they could not refund me because more than 24 hours had passed since I signed up. I explained that this was the first time I had actually logged into the service, that I had contacted them immediately upon discovering the compatibility issue, and that I had never been informed that I had a 24-hour window to test the product. That distinction seems pretty important: how can a customer reasonably be expected to discover a compatibility problem within a 24-hour window when they aren't told that the 24-hour window exists? I was also originally told that the product would work on all tablets, which was not the case. Rather than acknowledging the conflicting information or trying to find a reasonable solution, customer service simply hid behind the 24-hour policy. This was an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. Misleading information about device compatibility, failure to disclose a critical 24-hour testing/refund deadline, and dismissive customer service is not what I expected when signing up for an educational service. If you're considering Varsity Tutors, make absolutely sure your device is compatible and ask specifically about any refund or testing deadlines before you pay.
