She has had that school for almost 40 years and has stuck to tried and tested methods (and not fads) when it comes to daycare and Montessori. The staff was very responsive and gave each child a lot of attention. They do not crowd kids into rooms and simply put on tv. They do real activities and send reports home daily. The building is beautiful with lovely night sky murals on the ceiling in the front. They have a theater, performing arts venue, science lab, and many other additions. The playground is unique due to the big plot of land and they have a veggie garden for the kids. They really are big on accountability and growth. Our child has a solid moral compass, curiosity, confidence, and good character: all things that the school strives to inculcate. I saw children there that were the children of parents who went to Spellwell themselves years earlier. I enrolled my son expecting structured training and support, but what we experienced was very different. The staff made promises during enrollment that were not followed through once he started. Make sure you get everything in writing, because what is said upfront does not match reality. In many cases, students were assigned YouTube videos instead of receiving hands-on instruction. There were frequent times when the teacher didn't show up, and students were moved between classes due to a lack of supplies. Even more concerning, students were often left unsupervised while instructors stayed in the office on their phones. This is not the level of education or accountability you expect when paying this kind of money. It feels like the school has stopped caring about student success. Don't put yourself into this kind of debt without getting the value you deserve.

I made a huge mistake counting on Fusion to help my family - my teenager missed 3 months of her well respected school second to illness and withdrew for the semester and went to Fusion desperate to learn and catch up. We realized early on that Fusion was not a good fit - teaching quality was, at times, dismal with poor accountability of advancing curriculum/challenging my teenager. Our sincere efforts to engage the individual teachers, administrations were numerous from the begining - encompassing easily 40 emails. Despite raising concerns repeatedly with teachers and administrators, we felt our concerns were dismissed or not meaningfully addressed. Per my teenager AND while overhearing an online class, the teaching was maybe15 minutes per 60 minute class and then teacher would make AI generated work for the student to do on own. You pay approximately $135/hr. I am so sorry to say this, but my teenager often felt some teachers were unable to answer questions in sufficient depth or explain the AI-generated assignments they provided. My teenager said it was a waste of her time --- the excruciating fact is that my teenager really wanted to catch up on missed school because of a long illness. She spent February to June, 2026, at Fusion & made little progress except for what she taught herself out of desperation (one good thing she learned to teach herself). The credits earned, we have decided, will not to ever appear on her transcript; for us, it does not represrent quality education. Forget the 16-17k, the tremendous family stress related to Fusion not delivering; it was my teenager that was affected most and I cannot stop apologizing to her for choosing Fusion.

I felt like I constantly had to reassure you that we appreciate your school because you would write back lengthy emotional emails when we would simply ask about something our child said happened. My husband even called a meeting with you to address this with you last year, and ask you to stop threatening us to leave each time we asked about a concern. Yes we were very happy with the Grove and Ms Claudia and Ms Eddy, until the pattern of failure to address the misbehavior became undeniable and my child was choked in Ms Marisol's class and left with a bruise and scratches. The more that happened and wasn't addressed, the more displeased we became. The first year at the grove was amazing, and MsEddy and Ms Claudia treated our first son with respect and guidance and he loved it. He loved it until the school continued to fail to address this other child containing to hurt and threaten my child's safety. ALL of which were acknowledged by you (once I asked what happened) and then minimized. Maybe your teachers need more support and staff to help supervise the classrooms, which have different spaces and are not open concept. The students cannot all be supervised by 1 teacher while the other one is preparing snack or changing diapers. What I asked of the school before you terminated us, was to evaluate this other child's disruption to the classroom. Our request was to know what actions happen when a child continues to cause bodily harm to another. Your response was that these are norm behaviors of children, which I disagree with completely. It is not normal for the same Child over the course of 1.5 years to touch my child's penis, bite him, push and pull him, grab toys from him daily, and eventually choke him and leave scratches. The word expulsion never came out in any of my emails with the school so before you call my facts libelous, please check yours. Your handbook that states an "open door policy" is not honored by you. In an email in January 2021 after we asked to do a visit to meet Ms Nayely since she was new you stated "Unfortunately, we do not plan to have parent classroom observations. They disrupt the routine and send the message that there is a lack of trust between home and school. Having been here since last year, I assume you are very comfortable with Ms. Eddy's leadership in the Toddler classroom and have full faith in her ability to guide her students and mentor her new assistant. I welcome and appreciate parent feedback, but I feel it is my responsibility to observe the classrooms and make necessary changes based on the information provided." Clearly you don't observe well enough if you cannot take actions to ensure proper supervision of the younger classrooms.

They are very structured and our now 5 year old will be heading into kindergarten come August being able to read, add, subtract, and even multiply. He has learned geography, history, art and made amazing memories! Recess, splash days in the summer, friendships, trunk or treat and weekend play dates about once a quarter to connect the community. A school trip, a class play and a research project to top it off in the kinder class! The kids get to really experience education, socialization and learn manners in a structured environment. Today was a tough day with my child being disruptive (talking during naptime) and I was called to pick him up. Her smirk was apparent when I arrived and she seemed very satisfied in informing me that my son was not welcome and they would give me up to two weeks to find somewhere else. I very kindly stated that I did not want my son to attend somewhere that he was not welcome, hoping to get a response that they would continue to treat him well/care/etc., to which she responded "oh ok then I'll just disenroll him today". So, apparently she has no desire to make children feel welcome. Her snide comments and remarks made this experience entirely unfortunate for me and my child, but again the teachers were wonderful and I will miss them greatly.
