I took it home and plugged it in... PROBLEM SOLVED! This allowed me to sell the laptop the same day! AND he waived the $85 diagnostic fee! I was happy to learn they work on Macs (my daily driver), PCs or Linux machines. They do all sorts of repair, recovery, upgrades and new builds. When I was there, they were working on 2 seriously tricked out gaming PCs. It's hard to keep a small business running, and it's hard to find honest independent computer repair shops.
