Highly Recommended: Gulf Coast Pool and Spa If you're…read morelooking for a fiberglass pool, Gulf Coast Pool and Spa is the company to choose. You work directly with the owners, who give you their personal phone numbers and respond quickly to any questions or concerns. This was my second pool installation, and Gulf Coast far exceeded my previous experience in Texas. I had a gunite pool before, but after seeing the difference, I would never go that route again. The owners clearly explained the pros and cons of each pool type, allowing us to make an informed decision. My 14x30 fiberglass pool was completed in just two weeks, including a few weather delays. The process was incredibly efficient -- they dug the hole on day one and set the fiberglass shell on day two. Every employee is a specialist at their job, and we worked with Tom, Jon, and Aaron, who kept us informed every step of the way. When I noticed the pump wasn't the variable-speed model I wanted, I called the owner and he immediately agreed to upgrade it at no extra charge. This company truly does whatever it takes to make sure their customers are satisfied. They also offer a veterans discount, which is a great added benefit. After installation, they leveled my backyard so well that no additional grading was needed for landscaping. Once the pool was filled with water, they sent a technician out to professionally clean it and provided clear, easy-to-understand instructions on how to maintain it as a saltwater pool. If any issues arise later, they offer expert advice on exactly what to do. I would highly recommend Gulf Coast Pool and Spa to anyone thinking about installing a pool -- regardless of the type. Their service is unmatched. This flows well and keeps the review positive and professional. Would you like any other tweaks?

Very impressed with Dale and his professional crew. I conducted a thorough search of regional…read morecontractors who specialize in screen enclosures. Dale came highly recommended so I reached out to him. When he arrived, he surveyed the project and had a number of innovations he recommended. I was particularly impressed with his confidence in his ability to construct the enclosure I had envisioned. As it turned out, he constructed something much better. This particular enclosure required thoughtful planning and multiple geometric calculations. There were three different angles that approached the roof line where the aluminum support beams are bolted into the rafters. I provided a variety of photo's to illustrate the level of customization required. Dale didn't cut any corners on quality or materials. As a matter of fact, the entire enclosure was made of higher tensile strength grade materials. Even though we were well inland, he still constructed the frame to Florida's hurricane standards. You will notice the liberal use of Nylo-Tec screws to secure all the framing materials. This is critical as Dale pointed out during our first meeting that nothing he uses will rust. Keep this in mind as you survey other contractors work. Also make sure they us double K braces. This closure was constructed 4 years ago. I have had zero problems with the quality of the materials and construction. Our family has really enjoyed the many benefits of having our pool and outdoor living area completely enclosed. Best investment we ever made.

I was referred to Dale to do my enclosure by the pool company. Had a great conversation over the…read morephone with Dale and within a few days he got the measurements and gave me a quote. Fair price all around so I signed it. Day four of the project and I notice the roof trusses are shaped in a different style than what I picked. I questioned Dale about it, and even looked up our contract before hand to make sure I wasn't wrong. I was quoted by phone and by written contract for a "Gable" style roof, but he built a "Mansard" style instead. At first he stated he thought we agreed on the Mansard, I told him to look at the contract, it clearly says Gable. He never apologized, and he never attempted anything to make the situation right. He just kept giving excuses like, "I saved you 5k, because a gable of that size would have cost that much" or that his crew would have required a crane to complete the job, and that this mansard style is more modern and desired. Well it wasn't what me and my wife desired, or envisioned. He also stated that the measured width was too much for a Gable, but he took the measurements himself before we agreed in the contract. Dale finished the work the following day and requested payment. I tried to bring up my dissatisfaction, but he blew me off and gave the same above excuses. I paid him in full, because I did not want to go down the legal road of getting sued, or take any chances that he or his crew would do any damage to the structure for non-payment. We also haven't been able to use the pool this weekend, because Dale and his crew left a mess of aluminum shavings in the pool. We now have to wait for the pool company to come out and vacuum the bottom so that we don't risk damaging the liner. Bottom line, it was not what we envisioned and not what we contracted for. If you have in your mind exactly what you want, then you may want to choose a different enclosure company, because in the end he installs whatever he decides. We will be consulting an attorney over this ordeal.
