This detailing shop left much to be desired. I made a last minute appointment, which they were gracious to accept, but on the day of the appointment, they were 2 hours late. Every time I texted them, it was the same response, we're almost there. Since I had work, I left the car with my mom. She didn't know to go over the detail, never having done one herself, so when I came home and saw that there was crud still in my cup holder, dirt still on my dashboard, and my headlights still looked foggy, I texted management to say that the work looked incomplete. I even forwarded pictures and to my surprise, instead of apologizing, he blamed my mom saying that she should have told the men about the dirt still on my car. I was amazed as this wasn't what I imagined would happen, I mean, the dirt was there in plain sight. Afterwards, he agreed to give me another free detail except that he completely disappeared. I had to reschedule my detailing a few times and David was very accommodating with times and days. Got the detail done on Saturday morning and wow it looks amazing! Car looks like its fresh off the lot. Good price too compared to other businesses that I had called in to ask. Even the inside looks new, I had a bunch of stains on the seats and they're all gone. After talking over the phone, the guy gave me two options: 1) Living Social honors a refund and I would still be able to get a FREE Deluxe Detail for the inconvenience, or 2) Living Social does not honor a refund and I would still be able to use the voucher after its expiration AND get another FREE Deluxe Detail later on for the inconvenience I opted for Option #1 and received a refund. Amazing service and very down to earth attitude. I purchased the groupon and scheduled an appointment for a week later. The day before I had to reschedule due to personal issues. They were very understandable and had an opening a couple days later. The detail took about an hour, and my car was CUH-LEAN. Shoe scuffs on the door jams that I thought were permanent were gone. They also vacuumed my entire trunk, including where the spare was. Overall, they exceeded my expectations considering I have paid way more for less service from other companies. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE -- and people who reviewed below my review seem to have had the same issue (keyword search groupon) I gave them one star to convey my absolute annoyance and disappointment with their customer service. I bought a groupon for their most expensive detail. The groupon was not cheap. I followed the directions with regards to setting an appointment. I called and texted. I spoke to the owner on the phone and sent him a confirming email with a text as to the date/place and time of the appointment. They did not show up at all and did not call. I called again and explained that I had an appointment that they didn't show up for. The owner apologized and said he doesn't know what happened; that they had let someone go last week; and that I should have been called because they cancelled all details for the day based on the weather being so hot, and that he would call me back the same day to reschedule. That was over a week ago, and I have not received a phone call back. My perception of the situation is that because I already had paid (and not their full price because I bought on groupon) -- this business had NO INTEREST in providing me with customer service. Which is unfortunate, because I was looking forward to using my groupon and upgrading to have the "Paint Restoration" done on the exterior. Customer service is key to me, and I will tell anyone who asks NOT to call this place as they will be disappointed. We (my fiance and I) have two luxury vehicles, as well as most of our friends drive luxury vehicles in the Southbay. Had this business just performed as they should have, they would have had good regular customers. I use groupons to try places out, and if I like them -- I stick with them. Felt this was a bait and switch. Wasted 3 hours of my time and was told a full detail was on sale for $130 so i decided to try it. I have a Tesla 2015 almost new and had a 3 step correction done prior and coating. Took it to these guys and 1 hour later they did one small area and said there are swirls and defects all over the car when the car had no swirls on it. He said the full detail that was discounted from $260 to about $130 will leave scratches all over the car and that it would cost over 300 for a full detail to remove, remove what? So you will deliver a car fully scratched with swirls on a $260 job? The funny thing is the car has no swirls or real scratches. Don't trust these guys if you have a high end or luxury car. People, just read some of the other reviews and judge for yourself and the response from them. Went to Concours Auto Spa and they were awesome! What can I say about SWS Auto Detailing? The service provided by Juan and his cohort was nothing short of professional and outstanding. First and foremost, they agreed to accommodate a request to do the work on a Sunday morning because I have to work during the week and they were booked that Saturday. They also called to confirm that they were coming. As for the work itself, well, I have one word: MIRACULOUS. They basically brought the car back to life from its near dead state. In fact I didn't recognize it when I came down to see it after they were done, nor did some of my co-workers who actually asked me if I had bought a new car. LOL. The car had not been waxed in over 10 years and I can safely say that I'll be hiring these guys on an annual basis going forward as it's well worth the expense. Need I say more? read more

I'm actually pretty surprised by the high rating on these guys. They flaked on me 2 times in one week, then pulled a no show the third time for my car detail. At that point I was beyond pissed at their irresponsible behavior and told them I was going to write this. They apologized profusely and detailed the entire car the next-- done in less than an hour?? hmmm. The swirls that were left on my car were super obvious and I had to have it detailed all over again 6 weeks later from another place that did a great job and for less! I'm so glad I discovered these guys through Living Social. They did an amazing job detailing my SUV, which included interior carpet shampoo and waxing the exterior. A word of advice: if you have them come to your place you will need to supply an electrical outlet. I didn't have one (my apartment was too far from the street) so I had to come to them in Manhattan Beach. No big deal -- it took them a little over an hour. I came to an agreement with the business owner; and he kept our appointment for the next week. David arrived on time and did an interior/exterior detail using only our power outlet. After clay bar polishing and waxing, my Mercedes C230's body looked very shiny and smooth. I especially appreciated the work on the interior; carpeting was as new, the leather was much cleaner and he managed to remove surface imperfections from the aluminum trim panels too. The job took a little under two hours. The guys are nice and quite friendly, and they seem to know their business. I've had David and his team come to my workplace to do a full detail on my car the first time around and a mini-detail the second time around. The majority of my co-workers also had their cars washed and David was able to offer a discount after a certain amount of cars. I was happy with the results and even more so because it's waterless which is great since we seem to be in a perpetual drought. I bought a Groupon for this business and was excited to try this business. I drive Uber and was looking for a good car detailer to do my car. I think they were ignoring me b/c of the Groupon or something because I tried calling this business over 10 times. Everytime I left a message, I never received a return call. Every time I reached someone they told me "I will call you right back" and never did. I had to cancel the Groupon because their customer service is terrible and now I have to buy something else on Groupon, because I cannot get a cash refund. What a dissappointment!! read more

After my dissatisfaction with my previous experience at SWS, Juan, the owner called me to follow up. He was very willing to give me a complimentary detailing for my car which I appreciated. We set up a time for the detailing, however I had a schedule conflict and was not able to make it. I left a message that day with no returned phone called, however, the missed appointment was my fault so it's understandable. However I have 2 problems with this business. 1) it wasn't opened on time. 2) it was hard to find because it shares a warehouse with another business and there isn't any posted signs. With that out of the way, I am completely satisfied with the final results. I chose Memorial Day weekend to have paint transfer removed from my 2-month old car. I ran into David with SWS while trying to find other shops that weren't open or were hard to find. He informed me that his shop was closed for the day, but we made an appointment for 9am on Monday, he gave me an estimate for both time and cost. On Monday, I came to my senses and slept in, so I didn't arrive until 10am. I had trouble finding the shop, but after calling David, he assured me that I was at the right place and he would be there shortly. Once he arrived, he again explained the proceeds and how long it should take. He also did a great job entertaining my 15-month old. When he was done with the car, I was very impressed and ecstatic. I can't even tell where the damage was. I would definitely recommend his services. Hopefully, I never need them again, but would not hesitate if I should. read more

I had the worst luck by spilling a gallon of paint in my 3 week old SUV! After taking it to another car detailer, I was still stressed out since it was not 100% clean and I just wanted my new car back. David went out of his way to bring his crew to my house and work on my car until it was pretty much brand new for one flat price. The other detailer charged me by the hour, but David worked 2 hours for one price. I wish I had contacted him first and saved the double I paid yesterday. David and his crew uses this steamer that I have never seen at any other auto detailer that really heats up and cleans out any stain, even my paint!! I wish I had gone to him first but in the end, I am really happy that I found him and he was able to save my car. Thank you! I'm sorry to be a downer but I bought the Groupon for SWS Auto Detailing and I was not impressed. I am not sure if they didn't do as thorough of a job because I bought it on Groupon but I honestly felt like I got the same service as my local car wash. I had trouble contacting them after I told them I had a Groupon, they said they would text me with some available times they could come detail my car. It wasn't until two weeks of me calling, texting, and emailing them that I got a response. The wash was done in less than an hour. All of the stains in my seats that they said they could remove were still there. There was a ton of dog hair everywhere and once I showed them, they got it out. I have a newer car so I didn't think it would be that difficult of a job but next time I'll save the $100 and just go to my local wash. read more
