Great Find! Go! An endangered species lives here. Caring! The place is full of it and love. Everything in the place is made with copious amounts. As with most fantastic finds,this was an accident. In town next door for BBQ when I saw the sign and decided to check it out. Walked away with the most delicious sourdough Italian loaf I've ever had. Made with Parmesan, Romano, Parmigiana Reggiano, rosemary and other herbs. It was hot out of the over and the aroma was astonishing. I will definitely go back next time I'm in Luling. read more

This bakery really IS swoon worthy! They have the most delicious cookies and breads! I bought two loaves of sourdough and a few of the sourdough cookies! They were absolutely delicious! I was even able to purchase a bit of their starter! The starter has been so freaking great! I live quite a ways away from them, so this has allowed me to get into my "sourdough era" and start making breads, scones and muffins! Their starter is really really nice! Everyone who works there is almost as sweet as the cookies they sell, they're helpful and really nice to talk to. This is an amazing bakery. I stop by about two weeks ago on my way to eat barbecue . Well, I ate lunch and then I had to go back by and get an apple pie. you can tell it was made with love the dough was light crispy just one of the best apple pies., I've had a long time. Went to the store this past Saturday and picked up some Honey Wheat Sourdough bread and it was fantastic! Beautiful sourdough profile with lovely honey wheat flavor! NOT bland in the least. I highly recommend as you can tell as there is only 1/2 loaf left! Also purchased a loaf of their regular sour dough for a friend of mine and I sure hope I get to try it. Already tried (and loved) the rosemary sour dough loaf as it is sure yummy! The brown buttered snickerdoodle cookie was to die for! So delicious! Friend purchased the apple pie. My last friend I brought there loved the apple pie Especially with some vanilla ice cream! Everything they make is amazing. If you have never tried a sourdough cookie, this is the place do get it from. They are amazing and way too much work to make at home. I've also found that I can't eat yeast breads as they either make me sleepy or are hard on my gut, but sourdough is great and the flavor is so good. It's real bread not that odd tough stuff at the grocery store. Anyway, the products this place makes are superior. I made grilled cheese from their classic white sourdough. I bought too many loaves of pumpkin cinnamon sourdough (didn't get to gift them as I'd intended and they aged a bit in my kitchen counter), so I made crème brûlée French toast from it. My family has decided that's the ONLY bread I can use for that recipe in the future. But to tell the truth, that pumpkin cinnamon bread was fab just toasted with butter on it. This little bakery has a HUGE heart for their customers. She went out of her way to recreate a long ago local favorite pecan filled cinnamon rolls. She specifically contacted me to try them first. They were amazing!!! The italian cheese bread is highly requested by my teenage son and husband. The cookies are totally worth the calories . Kelli will even hold bread for you if you are looking for a specific variety and can not make it to the shop early in the day. She even extended her hours to make customers happy.
