The driver is always friendly and the ride is smooth. We always get there in a timely manner. It's also a bonus because you get a casino play credit. Highly recommend for a day out!

First, I need to say that the time in Quebec City was very enjoyable. The hotel was lovely and…read moreideally located. The food was fabulous and walking around old Quebec was amazing. Having said that, the coach from Hamilton and back was unbearably uncomfortable. It was cramped, the seats were hard, and even at 5' 2", I had no leg room whatsoever. Although the seats could recline, we were told right away we were not allowed to use that feature. My back is still sore after 2 days at home. The tour guides did not allow even a moment of relaxation during the trip there and back. The time was filled with games and loud activities so there were no opportunities to just read a book, enjoy peace and quiet, or rest your eyes. Because there were no headphone jacks on the bus, we were forced to watch a pre-picked movie or TV show whether we wanted to or not. This is what they referred to as "relaxation time". What I found most offensive was having the tour guide on the mic telling us that all 3 of them expected separate tips at the end of the trip and how much of a tip they expected to receive. This happened only 1/2 hour after boarding the bus to go to Quebec. We were reminded during the trip as well. I've been on many trips and realize tipping is customary. It is also included in our pre-trip literature. I am known to be a very generous tipper and always provide a gratuity above the recommended amount. But not on this trip... I gave no tip, I was so offended by the blatant ask. I will not be booking with Frontline again, nor will I be recommending it to family and friends.

Appleby GO Station - Outdoor parking

Appleby GO Station

My first time at this GO Station! I was dropped off on a Thursday morning around 8am. There was…read morestill lots of parking available here (all surface spots). They have many lanes of 'kiss and ride' too so you can pull right up to the buildings. There are boards that display the train schedule in convenient locations and lots of Presto machines. The first one I walked up to was stuck on "turning on" so I had to use a different one. Make sure the machine that you tap on at is working so your fare gets processed. The actual platform is comfortable as there were lots of shelters and a lot of it was covered to protect you from the elements. A good transit stop all around.

I've been commuting to work in Toronto from the Appleby GO Station for over eight years now…read more For the past two years GO customers using this station have had to put up with lots of construction going on but happily most of the renovations are now complete. My major complaints have been that there was woefully inadequate shelter on the platforms, and there weren't enough stairs and only one tunnel so it was way too crowded when disembarking from a busy train. Thankfully both of these problems have largely been addressed by the addition of a second tunnel to the east of the original one, and greatly expanded shelters on the south platform. Parking is becoming a big problem here as over the years the usage has increased to the point where on weekdays you may not be able to find a spot (oddly Tuesdays seem to be the busiest). GO is in the process of building another parking lot on the north side (off of Harvester) but the construction notices at the station indicate that it won't be ready until December 2011. The concession stand has moved out of the ticket office area (at ground level) down to the south end of the western tunnel. The coffee's actually pretty good and they also sell muffins and bagels in case you ran out the door without eating your breakfast. Some tips when using this station: - If you plan to park at the station after 9am on a weekday, head to the south parking lot (off of Fairview) because the north lot (off of Harvester) is probably full. - If you don't already have tickets, try to be at the station well in advance of the departure time because the ticket line can be long - Pay close attention to the electronic displays in the ticket area and tunnels because trains can unexpectedly switch to a different track. - Remember which lot (north or south) you park in! On several occasions I've been approached by somebody who couldn't find their vehicle and assumed it had been stolen because they didn't know there were actually two parking lots. I always like to see the look of relief on their faces when I tell them about the other parking lot. ;-)
