So after reviewing Yelp on both lounges I opted for capital one and I am very pleased with this lounge! First you can order hot small dishes from any table, there is a QR code on each table with today's choices. There is a cheese monger where you need to reserve 45 mins for a cheese tasting (we did not do, but looks amazing!). There is a buffet style with little dishes such as devil eggs, crostini, roasted squash. There is a to-go sandwich option with ess a bagel and pastrami from Schaller and Weber! and a huge bar also stocked with mocktails! We sat down at a table by the food and desserts section, they even brought out a nice baby chair for our baby! Ordered a bunch of dishes from the kitchen, Mac and cheese, shrimp salad, little burgers, mushrooms risotto and a soup! Honestly not all of the dishes were delicious, they were decent. However our experience and the service at this lounge was definitely excellent! They were so attentive to our needs and our baby's needs. We really felt taken care of. Note we did have a short wait, however it was literally not even 5 minutes to get into the lounge but definitely take this into consideration at busy times there will be a wait. But this wait is probably not as bad as the wait at the Amex centurion lounge in the same terminal. Overall we had a fabulous experience, felt really taken care of and especially with our baby. And they gave our baby his own baby pilot bib! So adorable!

Here is my experience: I was scanned in quickly and had lunch. There were two soups: broccoli cheddar and onion with beans. Chicken thighs, rice, salad fixings. I filled my water bottle for the flight. Nice selection of teas and some brownies and cookies for dessert. There was a shower available if you needed it. I left after around 45 min because I had to visit the other options at LGA: Chase Sapphire lounge and the Be Relax spa!

For desserts, there were tarts and cookies. There is a full bar and self serve Italian soda, fountain, lemonade, cappuccino. Pro Tip; As with most lounges, these days they do fill up and there could be a wait, so if you have your American Express Business, you're able to make a reservation on your AMEX App as long as you can show up within 15 minutes of that reservation and that will allow you to walk right in.

You can debate the nuances of each-- Centurion's food is better, Capital One's is larger and has a cheese monger, Ess a Bagel, and better cocktails. But compared to the sort of lounges that don't have their own bathrooms and offer nothing more than some bananas and cereal, you really could do worse. The Sapphire lounge in LGA is larger and prettier, but they pretty much offer the same amenities. The bathrooms have been clean every time I've visited, save for one time. The menu isn't vast but there's a little buffet station with fresh fruit and hot food, as well as a made to order menu with full sized portions. Sometimes the food has been quick, and other times it has taken a while, so you really should give yourself some buffer time if you're trying to get something from the made to order menu. The food is fine. I've visited enough times to say that the folks who work here have been so warm and nice each time, checking in and asking guests how they're doing. Garbage is cleaned up immediately, so it's a pretty well oiled machine in there. You can bring up to 2 guests and any additional guests cost just $27 more, which I'd say it's worth it, particularly if you have a long layover and will have a couple of drinks.

I'm not a big fan of the cocktails, but perhaps I haven't found the one that I like yet (I had a whiskey drink that I can't pronounce that was just alright). But, it's large enough to easily accommodate all needs. We saw a bar area, some quiet working areas, an area for plane watching, relaxing and charging areas, a sports/TV seating area, etc. It's much larger than it appears if you walk off to the sides away from the buffet. Delta must've heard the complaints from frequent Sky Club members who were tired of the exact same thing on each buffet/menu every single day which gets old if you travel a lot. So, they are changing out their menu items, updating them throughout the day, and really trying to up the game so it's worth it to continue to pay for this amenity. Staff were regularly walking around clearing trash and tables and finished plates. Staff kept the bathrooms spotless and the floors clear and clean. We had to wait about 10 minutes one day to get inside, but easily found seats, and didn't wait at all the second time inside and again, easily found seats with plenty more to spare. This lounge has loads of windows for plane watching and sky gazing and has lots of comfy seats and charging areas as well as some much larger communal tables if you are with a group. Hot coffee, great buffet, and much better than sitting at a gate for 3 hours.

I don't know if they rotate their soup, but I consistently get their Tomato Soup, which I top with croutons and some shredded cheese if I feel like going against the line (soup is located at the end by the dessert section). Drinks are good too, although I usually stick with a mimosa.

As soon as I sat down at a table staff came over and asked if I'd like any drinks to start. When I mentioned cucumber seltzer they brought it out with a glass of ice right away. Their venison burger was tasty and filling with fresh tomato, lettuce, cheese, pickles and a brioche bun. The fries that came with it were the chunky kind and more wedge-like, not very crispy, though I was hungry and polished off about half of them with ketchup. Duck tostada was a nice (several) bite(s), a little muddled in flavor though ingredients were fresh and I enjoyed the crispy tortilla crunch. Of course I had to get a dark chocolate pistachio cookie to go too! To correct some misinformation from recent reviews want to mention that this lounge has limited hours for Priority Pass from 5:00am-13:30pm, however full hours are until 23:30pm for balance travelers. Most of my stops here are usually in the afternoon/early evening on weekdays, I haven't seen it very packed, with exception of maybe once or twice. Also haven't tried their breakfast menu so can't comment on that. Will say that after coming here a few years starting to notice some wear on the furniture, perhaps some could use a bit of re-upholstery. Chase and Delta lounges have newer furniture though I'd prefer not to wait in line for entry.

We ordered some Pita & Hummus and Pasta Salad. The pita was stale while the salad was so bland. We couldn't even finish our food a just left. They gotta close this lounge down or revamp it because it's a disappointment compared to everything else.

Pros: Services are far superior than many A1 lounges that I have been to unless you're flying La Premiere by Air France. Other than that it was way better than Emirates itself and I an Emirates Platinum Member I must admit this. The decor feels like vintage dinner with a modern touch, it's almost like old Hollywood glamour. Many dishes are made a la carte, a true definition of fine dining. Several Chefs and Sous Chef are eager to cook you whatever you want with a smile. There are several seating areas that you can use to enjoy your delicious 5 course meals and drinks. Who can forget the quiet room with several 0 gravity chairs for a relaxing massage before your flight. Everyone was beyond polite and attentive. Honestly, this lounge makes both the AMEX & regular DL lounges feel very basic. I was pleasantly surprised. The experience is far better & above what you will experience in the cabin. Once you come you will have no desire to leave. It's therapeutic & magical. There's something for everyone there. Most importantly it's never as crowded as the regular lounge. Cons: Although everyone is super friendly and attentive. It almost feels like disingenuous & rehearsed. Everyone is repeating the same lines as if they were told what to say which caused me to question and or doubt that they really felt that way. This experience never gets old, it's like adrenaline rushing through your veins, it takes you so high that every time you get on the actual flight DL one cabin, you feel a sense of disappointment. Overall, I never want my flight to be canceled delayed so badly when I am in this lounge. The attention to detail is world class and mastered by the most hardworking patrons. It's truly the 4 seasons of ALL US Airlines lounges. Just when I thought they couldn't compete with Emirates and/or Qatar, DL one lounge surpasses them. It's the only reason why I never regretted paying premium for DL one seat. I just wish that level of service continues in the cabin.

After that things fell apart a bit, with the server bringing one of us the wrong starter followed by a long wait for the correct one. Wine service also largely disappeared, though there were plenty of places outside the restaurant to get drinks. The food on the buffet looked and sounded delicious but suffered from sitting out too long. The food was certainly a step way up from the usual Delta Lounge, but I would in no way compare it to a good fine dining restaurant on the outside. Highlights were the massage chairs and facials. The process for signing up is confusing and the wait can be long if you come at the wrong time, but if you have enough time it's definitely worth it. Other than that, it was reminiscent of a Centurion Lounge - spacious but crowded, with a decent food and drink selection. Nice for an airport lounge, but still an airport lounge.
