When in need of important documentation and information I always opt for hard copies, despite this…read moreever changing world where technological options are firsthand. Hence, I needed updated information in regards to my Spectrum account for my records, so I decide to go in store since it's close to home and I needed it ASAP. I am a fairly new customer only having service just 1 month shy of a year, so I am not that familiar with the in store servicing. Although, I do know that they are very helpful whenever I was in need of at home customer service, with all questions and concerns resolved in no time via phone. I guess I can call myself a minimalist because I really do not like to accumalate paperwork (or anything else for that matter) that has no long term use or significance to save for future reference. So, what do I do? I go paperless most of the time if it is available. Yet, for some reason the need of a paper document came calling me... Why does this always find a way to happen to me? Anyways, I go to the Spectrum store with high hopes of being in and out with no worries and what do I see upon walking in? Yup, quite a few people waiting. Some standing, some sitting, people with loud children, but all the while I still had to wait a bit to be helped. As soon as I walked in I was approached by the security guard who asked me to stay at the door, he then asked how could he help me. I let him know that I was there to get some documents printed if possible. I then was asked to sign in at the kiosk with all my contact information and my name would be called in the appropriate order so a representative can assist me. Okay, so what looked like forever turned out to be about a thirty minute wait not including the service. I was standing the whole time due to the guidelines needed to follow social distancing which was understandable. I pretty much spent most of the time between looking in my phone and looking up at the monitor to see what number my place in line was. All right, all right, two more and they will call my name I said to myself because at this point the anxiety was kicking in. Ten minutes later, I was called to one of the three desk where I was helped by a female representative (I forgot her name). She was very patient and asked me my name and other contact information which I quickly provided her with. I waited a few minutes for her to pull up my account and she then asked for my identification. I show her with no problem and then let her know that I needed some paperwork printed. She was able to accomodate what I needed but with a small struggle. Now, when you think all I needed were a few papers printed you say to yourself that's no problem, easy thing right? Well sort of. Unfortunately, the printer was having problems so I had to wait a bit to get the copies. She even let me know that I could pull it up online by logging into the website which was all good, but the thing is like I told you I needed everything on paper. Almost ten minutes pass and she was finally able to go in the back room and get the documents only to come back and hand me three copies of each document. Her explanation was that the printer was backed up and irresponsive. I just thanked her for her service and left as fast as I could because I was behind schedule with having other things to do before the day ended. Although I tried calling before I went in store, the only telephone number provided was the general customer service number. I really had intentions to avoid waiting, but I had no choice; so my advice if you are a Spectrum customer try to resolve any needs over the phone or online. As some of you already know, going in store nowadays is only a final option. As far as the Spectrum at this location, well for the most part they are helpful but could be more organized as far as the customer wait and timing. Also, there should be more seating available for when times get busy because the wait may require a sit down.

Terrible expensive service aside... this was my in store experience…read more Employee: sign this Me: what is this Employee: a receipt *blank face* Me: *dead stare* Employee: a receipt saying you returned the equipment At that point I already read it... but y'all just ask people to put their signature on stuff without explaining what it is?!? He was so…read moreunhelpful, unresponsive, and untrained "manager", if you can consider one who doesn't manage, but deflect and blame Verizon Fios and cite laws how they can't provide the contact info of the manager when he shared his own business card. Clearly, he was not trained in customer service, especially for the elderly or those with disabilities. Some issues included: 1)You'll get skipped in the queue despite checking-in and verifying your account with a shirt color to identify you. 2) The manager wouldn't even consider crediting a bill for no wireless service for 11 months after activating a second eSIM on an iPhone for a week in Japan. 3) He'll also will send you on a wild goose chase deferring the problem to Fios internet when their wireless store has signs to tell you to bundle mobile and internet without telling or guiding you how to ensure you benefit from this bundled mobile/internet discount, which disappeared for our entire family with three separate phone/internet accounts for five years or more repeatedly despite being loyal customers for over two decades of being screwed by Verizon's staff. 4) No accountability to know what happened in a digital era where their records tell you nothing to help you troubleshoot who did what and when for justifying how your cell phone bill jumps from $35 to $70/month for a wireless plan. 5) No guidance to explain or brochures on the on the types of plans they offer except telling me to check a "billboard" when there was none except for me to infer the dysfunctional touch screens were supposed to show me the types of plans and pricing (instead of not being able to get passed the start screen). I could list an ongoing list of issues as supported by the 2 out of 5 star rating from over 100 reviews. I would never go back to this store except to ensure the poor precedent set is stopped and improved. It just reinforces the poor reputation of Verizon as a vulture or villain when it hires and lets these issues recur at the expense of frustrated customers who try and figure out how to make these two departments within the same company collaborate for their interdependent deals without any resolution because they can get away with the worst service repeatedly without any consequences.

We are finishing up week #1 of the one-month trial and so far the speed tests have been good (i.e…read more around 800 megabytes per second for download). Our time with Honest has been good so far. The highlights: Andre did the install and I've not met many ISP techs in my life but we could tell right away he knows his craft inside out and enjoys it. We spoke to Rachel later to iron our some contract/money issues and that went very smoothly as well. It also helps that when you dial the number, you don't get that [expletive] "Hi! Thank you for calling [name of (expletive) company here]. Please listen carefully as our menu options have recently changed (no they have not). Also we are experiencing higher than average call volume, which is our way of saying that we don't know the concept of "average." You get a ACTUAL PERSON (or at least a very convincing artificial intelligence), thank heck. Lastly: the night of 1/6, our speed tanked. I texted the customer support # and within minutes got an answer, and shortly thereafter our down/up speeds were back to normal. All in all, so far so good.... my Cherophobia keeps insisting that /something/ will go tits up but so far it's been solid!

I just got service in Dec from Honest. I came back from a five week trip and had no internet upon my return. They diagnosed it as a problem in the lines coming to my unit (so not my issue) but it will still take them 3 days to come out and restore service. I understand that they are less expensive than others, but I can't really deal with outages like this. If it happens one more time, I'll move on to a more reliable provider

Let's face it; that's a death sentence in this times of Yelp and other review websites. I've seen people's complaints and all I can say is that if you had it better with Spectrum in terms of speed and reliability, then you and I must have had different Spectrums. I've only had it a few days, but the set up was done quickly, courteously and professionally, and getting it to my devices could not have been more user friendly. When I had to move around the wires for the modem and router later that night, and lost the connection, I got customer service in minutes on the phone and she got me back to speed in no time, and even sent me an email giving me quick tips on how to get back online if need be in the future. And let's face it again; the price is great too. So unless you really need something extremely reliable for work reasons, and you actually have something more reliable, and are willing to pay the bigger bucks for it, give Starry a free trial.
