Swing Set Pros - Playsets Near Me

I was considering hiring another company that was about $100-$200 cheaper, but I'm very glad I decided to go with Swing Set Pros. I reached out to several companies, and most of them install playsets along with all kinds of other structures. Dunstan was the only one who actually responded to my text by calling me directly. He took the time to explain the specific intricacies of my Backyard Discovery Magnolia Falls playset, and after talking with him, I immediately felt confident that he knew exactly what he was doing and would install it correctly. For me, safety was the most important factor. This is a large playset that my kid will be using, so I didn't want to cut corners just to save a couple hundred dollars. I specifically wanted a company that focuses exclusively on playset installation, and that's what ultimately made my decision easy. I'm extremely happy I went with Swing Set Pros. The playset looks fantastic, but more importantly, it feels incredibly sturdy and solid. I even climbed up into the upper fort and crow's nest and went down the slides myself, and there wasn't a single creak or movement that made me question the installation. It felt extremely safe and well-built. If you're spending the money on a quality playset, I highly recommend spending a little more to have it installed properly. I honestly couldn't recommend a better team or company for playset installation. Swing Set Pros did an outstanding job. Thanks! read more

Thank you, Dunstan and crew! We have a 10+ year old swing set that came with the house that we love having for our kids (2 & 5) but lately it's been showing its age. The base posts didn't look great, some of the nuts and bolts were loose for the swings and slide, and not to mention the whole thing was at a 15 degree angle. I had trouble finding anyone that would do the work! Once I got on the phone with Dunstan I knew I had the right company to do the job. I sent over photos and he got back the next day with an understanding of what needed to be done and how much. He answered all my questions and put me at ease. We set up a date when it would finally cool off and the crew arrive a little after 7 and we're done before 2 I think! The set is upright, sturdy, and with a fresh coat and sealer, looks young again! Thank you, Dunstan! read more

Dustin was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Great service and great value. Would highly recommend to all.

Dunstan the owner was great to work with and once we made the final plan he orders the set and had his installer do the job. It was fast , clean and great customer service. The job was a big swing set for a Temple in Northridge. The selection of swing was great. The value was great . We spend over 20k and it was great price. read more

Dunstan and his team did such an amazing job helping us select and then putting together a swing set for our kids. Dunstan gave us invaluable advice on which model would make the most sense for both our space and for the ages/sizes of our children, thinking about not only what would be best for our current purposes but also about what would give us the most long-term use and value as they continue to grow. The team showed up promptly, as scheduled, and were as friendly and professional as could be. They helped figure out the best precise positioning for the set and had it wrapped up and ready to roll within a few hours. And Dunstan made it clear that they'd only be a call away if any needs for service and support of their work were to come up in the future, which is a great assurance to have as well. The swing set is beautifully built, sturdy, and something we expect to be enjoying in our family for many years to come. The kids already adore it! read more

My buddy wanted to get rid of his old swing set, and said I could take it. I contacted Swing Set Pros to disassemble, move ~4 mi, refurbish, and reassemble. Dunstan got back to me the next day asking for photos. [I never heard back from the other place I reached out to, btw...] Sent photos, got a quote the following day. Dunstan was responsive, professional, and friendly throughout the planning process. Edgar headed the team that actually did the move. Thorough, professional, friendly, easy to work with. Refurbishment included sanding and restaining the wood, plus rusty hardware replacements. I basically got an like-new swing set for, like, 30% the cost of an actual new swing set. Good deal. We really could have had a better experience with Dustan and his team, including his lead installer Oscar. Dunstan was helpful and informative from the moment I contacted him. He was incredibly understanding when my scheduling was tricky because of this being part of an entire yard remodel. I was looking at the play structures you can get at Costco and such and this is SO much better. To start I didn't have to lift a finger. Huge win. This will easily last the kids for years to come. The fact that is was so customizable made it fit in a small part of the yard we wanted it. Amazing. If you're thinking about it, just do it. read more

Swing Set Pros - Playsets Near Me

This company is awful. The treatment that I got from the owner the Dunstan, was something that no potential customer should endure. I reached out to a couple companies and I actually got two quotes for playground equipment. I was just trying to do my due-diligence and make sure I was not getting ripped as I know nothing about this industry. The quote that I got from the other company was slightly lower than the one I got from swing set pros. When I showed this to the owner Dunstan and asked if he could match the price or give a discount, he went completely nuts on me and told me that I offended him and that he did not want to do business with me. This was completely disrespectful and no way to treat a potential customer. It is fine that he did not want to match the price but rather than just saying no I can't do that, to tell me that I disrespected him and hang up on me was very rude and disrespectful. So I recommend you stay far away from this company. If you plan on getting multiple quotes don't bother trying to present the other one to Dustan unless you want to get verbally abused. This is only the second negative review I've ever left for a company in my entire life. I would only do this if someone was completely rude and disrespectful. read more

I spoke to Dunstan today over several weeks and I honestly thought I wouldn't be able to afford it. I wanted to go with a cheaper brand and I thanked him for his time. Not too long after he let me know that there was a possibility of a used set and we couldn't believe it. We were able to buy it and I'm so glad that he convinced me to get the set. We scheduled our appointment with ease. Victor and Willie arrives on schedule to put everything together. They were not there long at all and they really know what they are doing. I feel so secure every time I play on the set with my son! I know that this is something my family and I will enjoy for years to come. We are so grateful for the buying opportunity they provided! We love it!! read more

We worked with Victor from Swingset Pros and he was awesome from start to finish! Most importantly, Victor did an amazing job setting up our swingset. What would have probably taken us weeks to set up, he was able to do in hours! And we have the confidence that it was installed professionally so that it is the safest swingset possible for our kiddos! In addition to his building skills, Victor was responsive and easy to communicate with as we were working to schedule the installation. He has a positive attitude and would recommend anyone that is buying a swingset to invest the money and hire Swingset pros to get it set up! read more

My family and I couldn't be any happier to recommend Dunstan and his team at Swing Set Pros. From the initial call on a late Sunday afternoon Dunstan was ready to answer all of my questions. He is incredibly knowledgeable in recommending playsets. I never felt like there was an upsell with his company. All of his recommendations were to suggest a play set that my kids would grow into. From initial call to installation it only took about a week and the whole process was super simple. He gave us several suggestions with different price points to work within our budget and once we figured out what we wanted it took two days to get it all installed. One day to remove our old structure and the next day to install. His team did a great job in placing the structure for maximum safety and to work with the natural tree landscape of our backyard. The kids love the new structure so much they don't want to come into the house. So my family and I recommend Swing set pros. read more

PROS : fast, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable crew sturdy construction/installation reasonable pricing CONS : none! OVERALL : We scored a great deal on the Cedar Summit Mount Forest Lodge swing set at our nearby Costco (for under $1000!). Knowing neither I nor the Husband have ANY patience or experience with assembling any sort of swing/playset, we decided to look into hiring someone to do the job for us. After reading all the glowing reviews for Swing Set Pros, we gave them a call. Dustan was very knowledgeable about all the different playsets available. We were quoted $395 for install which is quite fair and competitive given their experience and our lack of wanting to DIY it. The two guys arrived this morning a little before 7am, set up their tent/work area and got to work straight away. They worked pretty fast and were done before 1030a - amazing! There is no way we would have been able to do it on our own in a day let alone under 4 hours without killing each other. They even cleaned up, broke down all the boxes and put them in our recycling bin. We paid what we were quoted and a bit more to show our appreciation. The structure itself is well built and solid. The look on the little monster's face was priceless! We're more than confident he (and his friends) will enjoy it for years to come. We highly recommend Swing Set Pros - save yourself time and a headache and hire them! read more

Dunstan was so responsive and communicative from the get-go! It's a big investment to make and he really listened to all of our needs (and our space issues) and not only walked us through all of the financials - but helped us with the dimensions so that we could maximize our yard and the structure we could put there! And he did this all during COVID via text! By the time installation came - we had absolutely no questions, it was just the excitement of waiting for it to arrive. He kept us up-to-date on the order status and before we knew it his lead installer, Oscar (who was such a pro) was at our house and the structure went up in four hours. If I had to do this on my own, it would have taken years - not only to put together but to really sift through all of the options out there. We have the confidence that the structure is sound, it will last, and it's something that our son (and his friends) can grow into and not out of. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

EDIT: This was my response to the comments from Dunstan below: I do not dispute any of that. You were clear in your response as to why you would not do the work. Although I view it as a bit of a cop out, it's your business, your prerogative. My issue is the sheer unprofessionalism of waiting until the 11th hour to cancel on me after we had been in contact for over a month. Had you said all that from the beginning, this would have been a non issue. But you quoted a price, added me to your schedule and agreed to do the work. The way you handled it was completely inexcusable. read more

My husband and I searched for months for the perfect swing set for our kids. We checked all the "big box stores" and on February 18th, we finally settled on one from Sams Club. Through Sams Club, we paid $699 for GoConfigure (side note: the WORST company!) to deliver and install the new swing set. Our kids were beyond excited! A very frustrating and long story short- GoConfigure cancelled date after date and a MONTH LATER we still had no swing set installed. That's when I googled and discovered Dunstan and his company Swing Set Pros. I immediately called. Dunstan picked up right away and after I told him my very frustrating and long story, he told me his guys could be at my house the next day. I was so happy! We decided on the following day, as that worked better for my husband and I. I received a courtesy call from Victor the day before the installation date. He was very professional. He said he would be at my home between 7-7:30. My phone rang at 6:45am the day of installation.. it was Victor and he was outside and ready to get working on installing the swing set! Wow!!! Talk about not messing around! Victor and another installation tech got to work immediately and I'm 99.9% sure they didn't even take a break! They worked so hard and so efficiently they were done by 3:15. Victor even showed my husband and I how to tighten screws every few months and made sure we were completely satisfied with the installation before he left. My only complaint is that I didn't find this company sooner. Dunstan and his team are amazing! Yes, it was a little pricey but when Dunstan said he would "eat a bug" if I wasn't satisfied with the work, I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed. And I wasn't. It was worth every single penny! This is the company to do business with if you want a professional and knowledgeable company to safely and swiftly install a swing set in your yard. I absolutely recommend Dunstan and his team and will definitely continue to do all our swing set business with them! Thank you, Dunstan and Victor- you made our kids so happy!!!! read more

My only issue is I wish I contacted Dunstan before shopping for swing sets! Before I connected with Dunstan I bought what I 'thought' was a good set. This is the only way to go when having swing sets installed. My experience started with a very detailed and friendly conversation with Dunsten (sp?). I was fit in that week which was great as the delivery date was previously scheduled. Victor called the night before to confirm and go over a few things. He arrived on time and was very professional and an overall nice guy! He finished our Gorilla swing set in under 6 hours and was kind enough to break down all the boxes and cleaned up nicely. The overall experience was awesome, Dunstin is true to his word and provides a professional service. To begin, Victor and his assistant were so efficient and knowledgeable regarding our preowned swing set that they disassembled the unit in one hour and a half. They then transported the swing set to our home and had it up and running in less than three hours. Furthermore, Victor gave the unit a thorough walk through and inserted additional screws where needed. The all the accessories were safely attached and cleaned. In closing, this company and its employees have earned our trust and future business. We highly recommend to all seeking new or used swing set assembly. read more

This is only a review about purchasing a play set and not about installation. I spoke to Dunstan, the owner, many times over the course of the process of trying to purchase a play set from his company. He is a very affable person and easy to talk to. Unfortunately there is not always full transparency with ordering, shipping and delivery times. When there was an issue on that side of the order and I questioned it, he verbally took his frustrations out on me which is an unacceptable way to speak to a customer. He offered me my money back 6 weeks after our initial call and I accepted. Again, this is not about the installation service but the sales side. I would not do business with Dunstan or ever want to be spoken to that way again. read more

Let me start by saying I met with the other guys SSS and didn't get a good feel from him. I got the feeling that he was overpricing all of his services and was basically selling everyone the same overpriced poly set. Anyways after seeing him i decided to look for a previously loved swingset and needed someone to pick it up and assemble it at my home. Dunstan was amazing from the start, He didn't try and up-sell me , he answered all of my millions and millions of questions regardless if it was by text or email. And even though he was extremely busy ( i think he works with Costco and assembles the one's for the stores as well), And the sellers went back and forth about selling/not selling he managed to squeeze me in this weekend. His team (Oscar) dissembled and brought our set from Laguna Nigel to Winnetka at an extremely fair price. There where no additional or hidden fee's and his team where extremely knowledgeable and efficient. And when I asked him if I needed any refurbishment or deep cleaning fully expecting and willing to pay more if necessary he didn't lie he was honest and fair and told me I didn't and the minor things i could probably do myself. Oscar even replace a step right on the spot at no additional cost. Our kids where outside playing with there new swing set by 2pm. How is that for amazing, honest and efficient customer service. I highly recommend Dunstan and his team I'll post a pic of our amazing set as well. Thanks Dunstan and Oscar for making this a painless and joyful experience. read more
