Our 4 year old son had his first swim class at Route 66 Aquatics in West Covina. He loved it so…read moremuch he talked about it the whole night after. There was multiple instructors and lifeguards monitoring the children at all times. All the instructors were super fun and patient with the little ones. After one class I feel our son learned a whole lot. Already looking into signing him up for his next set of lessons. This is a beautiful facility and loved watching our son learn and interact with the instructor. I was worried that our son would not pick up a whole lot since there was so many kids, however the instructors split up the class and spent a good amount of time with each kid. Great program that West Covina offers. I would highly recommend to anyone that is considering. Prior to this swim class I signed our son up elsewhere, and our son did not learn anything and the instructor at the time had zero patience and had terrible social skills. This location was complete opposite.

We…read moreallotted only 5 lessons with waterworks through my daughters homeschool charter and in those mere 5 lessons Vayda has done TREMENDOUS work with my daughter. She has a positive but firm demeanor. She is EXTREMELY patient and kind. My daughter went from lookin like a drowning starfish to a strong, controlled swimmer. Granted she still has a way to go but considering shes only had a few lessons I am just extremely impressed with how much she's improved and I feel that's a direct statement on how Vayda teaches. If you were on the fence about trying waterworks I can definitely say that Coach Vayda made this a worthwhile endeavor and if shes still with waterworks next year I may opt to re enroll my daughter for more lessons. Thank you Vayda for doing what you do. We appreciate you!

We started here in January and my girls have tried all the instructors at the Monrovia location,…read moreand I can say in confidence that the male instructors here on Thursdays are so amazing. You can pay extra to stick with one, but my girls love them all! The pool is indoors, warm, and the instructors are super patient. They know how to push the kids to improve, yet still be kind at the same time. We took a few classes at Waterworks before and they couldn't swim independently whatsoever. However, after just 3 classes here, my girls are swimming with such confidence! Biggest, biggest downside (for the 1 star down) is the admin side. The main girl in the front is so disorganized. We were told we could use one account for both kids (not true), and scheduling gets mixed up. Had to go back and forth to get even one make-up class because we were not informed to download their app. I had the biggest headache communicating with her by phone and text. Nevertheless, still highly recommend for beginners... just make sure to download their app and stay on top of your account!

I appreciate the fact that the upper management really hands on in solving my scheduling issue…read more Pros: Indoor Instructors quality and patience Online system Great Phone customer service Cons: Costly Complicated online scheduling system Any cancellation will automatically revert to "make-up" class Some lessons are automatically cancelled by the company Limited Male instructors availability Not allowed in the water before the class time. Tips: just try ur best not to reschedule your class time to avoid confusion and misunderstanding of the policy I was glad finding an indoor swimming class, esp since Im a LA FITNESS member. I dont mind the high price too, even thou its almost as expensive my kids' private figure skating/ ice hockey lesson. What i do mind was the frustration from the scheduling system. I purchased 4 lessons package and scheduled my 3 kids lesson back in May. The extra 1 lesson was converted to make up class because I canceled 1 future lesson. A month later i saw the make up lesson was gone, and i was reading the "help" section that I need to pay another class so that the make up credit will be available. In which i did (so now i have 1 make up lesson and 1 paid lesson) I have 3 kids and i want them to have an equal chances to any activity, so i ended up paying 3 extra lessons and scheduled them back to back (at this point i have 1 make up lesson and 4 paid lessons). Next morning, i found out one of the class was cancelled, and i called the customer service. Thankfully she was helpful and she helped me in scheduling my kids lesson around. I wanted to use all of my lessons (paid or make up) so i wont need to worry about this complicated things anymore and will move forward finding other company. When i checked my online account, i noticed some of the classes were marked as make up lesson, and missing one class. I called again, and another rep saying i still have one paid lesson and that make up lesson is way of the company give it for free. How could it be for free when money already taken out from my account? Oh my GOSH. So frustrating! The reason i purchased 4 extra single lessons so that I can save time taking all of them together at the same time frame. Felt that I have to either let one class gone, or purchased more so i can scheduled all of them together again. Its your take, either you want to take in my review or not, but as a single mom with three kids and 2 jobs, dude, i work hard for my money (like anyone else) and for time off work to take them to activities, so I dont appreciate this back and forth confusion and complications. Another cons, as a first timer, we didnt know what to expect and noone greeted us when we arrived. I told my kids to go in 5 min prior to stretch in the water, on the side, so they wouldn't bother others, and that was not allowed. So for more than $29 lesson per 20 min, child should jumped in on the first minute, lesson, and out on the 20th min. The instructors Muna and Christian were good. I appreciate they let me know where my kids were in their skills.

Extremely Disappointed! Don't Waste Your Money…read more As a parent, I had high hopes enrolling my 3-year-old in British Swim School, thinking she'd learn basic water safety and build confidence in the pool. Instead, I spent a significant amount of money watching her sit on the ledge week after week, playing with pool toys and barely participating in any actual swim instruction. My daughter was clearly uncomfortable and scared of the water, which I voiced to multiple instructors over the course of the program. Unfortunately, no one seemed to care or offer any kind of personalized support or strategy to help her overcome that fear. It felt like the staff was going through the motions with no real investment in the kids' progress. If you're a parent of a toddler or young child looking for a swim program that actually teaches safety and swimming skills with patience and structure this is not it. I would strongly recommend exploring other swim schools before committing to British Swim School. This was a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish.
