We were in town for a event. Found this place & devices to check it out…read more It was a good choice. The place was busy. We checked in and sat at the bar waiting to be seated. Had a couple drinks that were mixed well, old fashioned and a Malibu & Diet Coke. Then decided to just eat at the bar. We ordered chicken littles, fries, Chicago & western hot dogs. Roasted beets , potato truffle soup. All of this was so good. The soup was amazing. The Hot dogs were surprising, off the daily special menu. Topped it off with a red velvet cheesecake. So good. The place had a great vibe and lots of character. Would do it again when back in town

Introduction including Milwaukee Sports:…read more Final of 3 reviews representing 3rd quarter of 2021 in scrapbook series is Brat House. In September 2021, I went on a Chicago/Milwaukee vacation. I attended 3 baseball games: White Sox, Cubs, & Brewers (in chronological order) on 3 consecutive days with my friend who joined me for the vacation. Of the 3 baseball games I went to my conclusion is Go Brewers! My favorite basketball team, Phoenix Suns, where I'm from before living in the DC area the past 15 years, lost to Milwaukee Bucks in 2021 championship, which was disappointing. But I was happy for the Bucks as they seemed to be a nice team and was glad it wasn't Lakers, Knicks, or Spurs. Speaking of the Bucks, Milwaukee Brat House is right by where the Bucks play in what they call the Deer District. Experience: My friend was a bit crazy. He wanted to go to a baseball game a 4th consecutive night for a 2nd time in a row for Brewers. As great of time as I had, I wanted to see other things in Milwaukee. So, I drove around the around seeing various things. Then, I was trying to figure out what I wanted to eat for dinner and gravitated to the deer district area. I walked along Doctor MLK Jr Drive, a nice corridor with various bars & restaurants. I settled on Milwaukee Brat House. I ate outside as it was pretty busy, was hungry and just wanted to eat. I ended up getting a bratwurst and cheese curds. I think they had BOGO beer as I had 2 beers (as pictured). Brat was great, but I stopped eating pork not long after; so I'd probably get a standard hot dog. The #1 selling point for me was getting cheese curds. When in Rome in Wisconsin, I wanted more cheese curds. They were awesome! The beer was great too; I purposefully picked some local beer company. The server was nice & helpful too. Overall, a great choice.

It was a busy location, which is always a good sign, but the service kept things moving. The giant pretzel was excellent--crispy on the outside with just the right amount of salt and perfectly soft on the inside. The variety of dipping sauces made it even better. The cheese curds were also delicious and are a must-try if you're visiting Wisconsin. The bratwurst was very good and full of flavor. Overall, everything we ordered was enjoyable, and I'd definitely recommend stopping by Milwaukee Brat House if you're in the area.

The outdoor area is especially nice, with all the gorgeous plants that the manager/owner personally hand-waters. It's a small detail, but it really adds to the atmosphere. The place can get very busy before a Brewers game, which is completely understandable. They do have parking, although street parking is pretty plentiful too. Inside is a little tight, but groups of up to six should be able to find a spot without too much trouble. Anything larger than that might get a little dicey. I tried the chicken sandwich, and while the chicken itself was a little thin, the flavor had me wanting to come back for another one. Sometimes that's all you need to know. And do yourself a favor and order a Bloody Mary. I sucked mine down way too fast, which probably tells you everything you need to know. A Bloody Mary at Sobelmans is part of the full experience. Great staff, great atmosphere, good food, and a solid spot to hit before a Brewers game. I'll definitely be back.

The flavors were outstanding and you could tell the beef was fresh. The chorizo and Chipotle Jack cheeses on the Big O really complemented each other. We added grilled onions to The Hongo burger which was a nice addition and went great with the grilled mushrooms. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a mix of high top and regular height tables as well as seating at the bar. Our server was great; very pleasant and attentive while hustling like crazy. Highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back!

I haven't had dinner here in several years, and today was my first time in for brunch. I ordered…read morethe Irish Breakfast with eggs over easy (although they were cooked over medium), and Bubble & Squeak as my potato choice, which is fried mashed potatoes with cabbage and bacon, yet I didn't see or taste cabbage or bacon inside. The other components of the dish included fried bangers (sausages), black & white pudding (blood sausage & pork), baked beans, sauteed mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, bacon, and another small puck of sausage, as well as brown bread and butter. It was a great value with some items I liked and some I didn't due to personal preference, not because anything wasn't prepared well, as it all appeared to be cooked properly. My girlfriend ordered the Celtic Grilled Cheese with bacon, arugula, aged white cheddar, aioli, grilled tomatoes on toasted sourdough. Her sandwich looked amazing, and I regret not asking for a bite. That may be a future order for me. She loved it! I also ordered the County Clare Bloody Mary, which is made with their own seasoning blend and served with a chaser of Harp beer. They asked me how spicy I wanted it, and I said medium, which I think they nailed. This was one of the best Bloodies I've had in town! Overall, a nice brunch experience with good service and a great ambience. I do want to return to try more brunch items.

I live…read morenear the sister pub, Three Lions, so this had been on my list to "places to visit in MKE" for a long time. However, the continuous construction (I feel like it's been since 2012??!!) is always extremely discouraging and parking is like the survival of the fittest. The pub itself has a similar vibe to Three Lions. I ADORE the Union Jack painted on the ceiling and red English phone booth. It is reminiscent of a stereotypical "English" pub (and yes, I have been to many - mostly outside of London - in the past 3 years). There was only one employee working at my time of visit, and maybe 10-15 other patrons. I ordered the Ruben rolls, which were great but left in the fryer 2 mins too long. Sadly, they did not have any of the ciders or beers I longed for.... which is understandable these days due to tariffs. I definitely plan on going back to see what the vibe is like during World Cup matches.

Both were fab. No clue what my boyfriend had but he seemed happy. The child had 2 local root beers and he loved them. We planned to stop in for one quick drink bc we were waiting for the trolley and it wasn't scheduled to come yet. Then they said they were going to start quizzo. We aren't really quizzo people but I went up and asked if we could just do maybe the first of the 6 rounds. The cost was $1 per person - and she told me the child is free. (Jokes on her bc 11 year olds know a lot more random trivia than I do). We had so much fun that we stayed the whole time. Side note: it seemed like a lot of groups were cheating around us. But we were legit playing w no devices... hence we lost haha. Also while we played trivia they had The Breakfast Club on silently in the background - so fun!!!
