We were so pleased with the finished results that when it came time to renovate the kitchen in our new home there was no doubt we would work with OB Marble and Granite. They listened to our needs throughout the renovation project, made suggestions on how to best utilize our available space and provided a 3D mock-up of what the finished product would look like. It was truly amazing to envision our kitchen before work began. During installation the crew was meticulous with their measurements and went the extra mile to ensure that they left the workspace clean at the end of each day. When trying to decide on hardware and finishing touches we found ourselves always circling back to Renan's suggestions. He went above and beyond adding crown moulding, carrying it into other rooms ensuring that our beautiful kitchen flows into the rest of our home. Their timing was impeccable, cabinets arrived early and the project was completed ahead of schedule. Working with Renan you can see he has a real passion for his profession and wants to be sure the customer is satisfied. The finished product is more amazing than we could have imagined. Thank you OB Marble and Granite for making our dream kitchen a reality.

I was in need of a small piece of Carrera marble for a restored antique drinks cart which I was giving my wife for her birthday. It had been in her family for generations. I had been working with a marble and granite company in Waltham for months and at the last minute they doubled the price and extended the delivery deadline. I had also received universally poor experiences with several other fabricators in and around Newton, Watertown and Waltham and held out no hope that I would find any company in the business that was different. I called Stone Depot and spoke with Cynthia. Wow, what a difference. She was helpful and responsive and immediately sent me pictures of the Carrera marble slabs they had in stock. Her price was 2/3rds that of everyone else's, and she promised to have it fabricated in under a week. I drove down there, and we agreed together on the piece they would cut. 3 days later it was done and ready for pickup. She had pushed it through because of the fact that it was for my wife's birthday. I cannot recommend Stone Depot in Dedham enough. Cynthia is amazing and the team did a fabulous job delivering ahead of time. If you want to work with a company that is a delight, fabricates a fantastic product, and over-delivers on their promises then you should check Stone Depot out. You won't regret it.

It was quite discouraging to go to many different vendors and find out that it would cost me over 35k in cabinets. I was so happy to find Tom at Cabinet Depot. He had solid maple cabinet with dovetail construction, and all of his cabinets came with full extension and soft closes, at a fraction of the price compared to many other companies I spoke too (approx. 12 companies). My design was very unusual and based on function vs. form. I had cabinets bumped out, custom shelves, and an island that was longer than most slabs of granite available. He worked very hard to help bring my custom details together. My whole project was smooth, and efficient. Only hang up I had was my electrician, whom I hired. The plumber, granite, tile, and Tom's workers were the best. Tom kept everything running smoothly. If you need someone to just provide cabinets or do a major kitchen renovation, I strongly suggest dropping in to cabinet depot. Take your time laying out your kitchen Strongly suggest thinking out your prep space, storage, and make sure it functions to your needs. Talk to many different kitchen designers if you need too. But before you drop off a check to place your order on cabinets, make sure you bring your plans in to Cabinet Depot, and finalize the price on cabinets. BEST Quality and price for cabinets. We visited Olympia Marble probably a month out from when we were to receive the actual cabinet. We received a price and we liked the product. Our salesman was knowledgable - we walked through the shop and got to see people actually making different tops. It was a fun time. Fast forward to a little over a month later. We called to have the cabinet measured. Then I called to order the product. The only glitch we had was a price differential. It had gone up markedly. I told the person what we had been quoted and she honored the price. Good people. Olympia showed up on time - did a beautiful job with the installation - the product is lovely. We couldn't be happier.

BEAUTIFUL SELECTION BUT UNPROFESSIONAL FABRICATION AND OVERSIGHT…read moreThe Selection & Initial Sales Experience: This shop easily has the best selection of remnants and slabs in the immediate area. I found a beautiful marble remnant that I loved. Initially, the salesperson was very helpful and proactive, even taking the time to mark the specific cuts with blue tape to ensure we were on the same page. The Process & Delays: Unfortunately, the experience broke down during the fabrication phase. I was given a specific day for pickup, but the pieces weren't ready when I arrived. This went on for several days. Quality Control & Fabrication Issues: When the pieces were finally "finished," I'm glad I inspected them. The work was unprofessional: * The "eased edge" was very uneven. * The corners were chipped and not cut straight, and the bottom edges remained rough and uneven. At this point, the salesperson was no longer helpful or even involved. I ended up in the back of the shop personally dealing with the fabricator, trying to see if the errors could be fixed. As they worked on the stone, the quality didn't improve. It felt like I was being asked to supervise the work, which shouldn't be the customer's job. There was no internal quality control or professional assessment of the pieces before they were handed to me. The Conclusion: The shop eventually admitted they couldn't meet the required professional standard and issued a full refund, claiming the stone was too difficult to cut (despite it being a marble remnant from their own yard). However, given the uneven edges and lack of oversight, it felt more like a lack of technical execution and professional management. It's a shame because the material is excellent, but the fabrication process was a major disappointment - and now I have to drive to places much further away to look for a suitable stone for my still unfinished project. This area really needs a store with a great selection and expert fabricators.
