The layers of pastry on the outside were super thick - the most amount of layers I've seen on the double-digit ones that I've eaten. This makes the crunch earth-shattering, but still so easy to bite through. The pastry layers cascade down into the center, creating ripples of individual crunches along the way that is so immensely satisfying to consume. But what's truly spectacular is the inside. Upon the first bite, the custardy center oozes out like molten lava. You better make sure you have a plate under this, because the bright yellow goo is as addicting to taste as it is dangerous to your hands or clothing.
