Variety of desserts from drinks to sweets. Waffles and snacks. sweets to savories. The ambiance is a small cozy with some wooden seating. Service was very helpful, we were ordering outside on the tablet, and could not find something and she helped us step by step!

It's 2025; I wouldn't believe you if you told me that there was a place where I could get a a creamy, delicious, perfectly brewed and sweetened, roasted rice milk tea for $2.50. But this place exists my friends, in Sweetheart Cafe. I don't know if this cafe is just incredibly generous and able toake a high quality product without overcharging or if this is a loss leader to get people to come into the cafe and try new things, but whatever it is, it's working. I've had thousands of milk teas in my life and this is easily top 10 one of the best. The tea is simple but rich in flavor and creamy and sweetened to perfection. Everything we tried here was quick, delicious and super affordable. If you do nothing else in Chinatown, come to Sweetheart Cafe. You won't be disappointed.

I was lucky, able to order food there past their operation hour. I ordered the Hong Kong style milk tea (24oz) comes with boba/pearl. And sweet potato fries. The employee there are very nice, we had a great conversation and she told me that it's a family run business. Which we love to know & support as a Franciscan. The milk tea itself tastes good with boba/pearl, it hits my spot for craving boba. If you like dark tea this will be your choice. The sweet potato fries is homemade with eggs coding outside layer gives a bit of crunch. And soft and warm side of the potato itself. They have all kinds of desserts choices, ice cream and coffee choices. Also they have Chinese food street style snacks. Overall, will definitely come back here, to support my local business. Wish they can open later hours.

Was recommended by a friend for hot Chinese dessert. Ordered 3 dessert items & to repeated my order and couple of times. It took more 25 minutes still not ready... Personally, love the desserts but it took toooo long. Then, requested to pack for Togo. (Have only half hour for lunch.)

quick lil small cafe in chinatown that I decided to stop by in to place an order for a quick few snacks for the group or should I say for me to enjoy to keep drinking the day/night away. There was nobody in line when I ordered but after there was about 3-5 customers waiting after me. its a very small lil shop but they do just about everything from drinks, snacks, and more! Their menu is very extensive for various snack options. This visit I decided to order the popcorn chicken and the pandan eggets to share with my group of girls. I was feeling hungry and needed a lil bite to eat before I continued the rest of the day with more drinks. The popcorn chicken was hot, fresh, and delishhhh! It also had a great kick to it as well! The pandan was also very good and tasy! it had a great punch of pandan to it. Service was a bit slow but its cause the owner was the only one there taking orders and preparing all the foods for each and every single one of us. DEF a fan and will come back for some more popcorn chicken!!! it was bomb.com!

Sweetheart Cafe will always be a nostalgic shop for me. I grew up going to the Milpitas location and occasionally came to this location. The owners are always so kind and caring- and I'm so glad they made it through Covid times! Whenever I think of an OG boba shop, it's always Sweetheart Cafe since their drinks are never a miss. This location is definitely a hole in the wall- don't expect a lot of space for seating but there's plenty of snacks & drink options! When I visited on Saturday (4/13), there was an option to self order on a tablet right outside the shop and you were also able to order up front. I had gone with a group of 9 and ordered about 7 drinks total - we had waited about 10 minutes or so but it looked like it was only two people working. They were super kind and made sure our drinks came out right. The drink itself was sooo good and pretty refreshing. Considering that they've been around since 1996, they sure do know how to make good boba tea. I wish I had ordered an egg puff waffle, but there was a line and I didn't want to make others wait longer for their drink

Matcha egg waffle- 7.75$

Matcha egg waffle- I havent had egg waffles in a while. Tbh prob not much diff than other egg waffles. crispy edges and soft interior. Nice. The top part was super fragile, felt like it could fall off at any moment, but the more you go down the waffle, the more in tact they are. Tbh was a little let down by flavor, it didnt really taste much. Maybe its just the matcha flavor. Extra Wait time for egg waffle, popcorn chicken and other in kitchen items, is 10-15 min Strong menu imo, popcorn chicken, egg waffles, bingsu, egg waffle ice cream, crepes, curry fishballs and more! Self order outside and self order inside Cramped interior Snacks and chips inside Lottery tickets inside too I only saw around 2 staff in there I went in on a Sunday at 2:17pm Disappointed in egg waffle but everything else good so 4/5

Sometimes there are boba shops that are so good that you feel it should be a secret, something that you should gatekeep, but if you know me personally, I'm simply not a gatekeeper. If I know of something amazing I will sing its praises, and that's Sweetheart. As I mentioned in a previous review, I grew up with Sweetheart Cafe that was located in Milpitas. That location unfortunately shut down a decade ago, but the SF chinatown location carries on. Wanna know the other crazy secret? The top notch regular size (which is a large cup for most places) hong kong milk tea with boba is $5, tax included. As other places try to charge $9 or even $10, It's like this boba shop has been frozen in time, in the best way possible

I used to come here a lot growing up and I recently visited this spot again. I got the strawberry slushie drink with boba and it tasted the same as I had it before. It was refreshing and I love the boba texture here. I also like the black milk tea as it taste like hong kong milk tea. The wait may be long depending how busy it is. Overall, this is one of my favorite boba spots in Chinatown!

Pretty standard eggpuffs, good for the price. Tried their curry fish balls since they had a special sign 15 for $5. Pretty standard but great price!

We were visiting Chinatown and in need of a quick refreshment, so I ordered a watermelon slushie with strawberry popping boba. This was our first time trying popping boba and now my son is obsessed! The ordering process was simplified by using the self-service tablet outside, which allows payment by card, Apple or Google Pay. We were the only ones waiting and it took about five minutes before our order was called.

Thank you to the hard working lady running this place by herself! She doesn't go unnoticed!

I love this little grocery store tucked away in North Beach. It has a great variety of foods,…read morebrands, and even a good assortment of personal care products (if you're needing something in a pinch). The guy working on the weekends (employee? owner? not sure) is nice and polite and always has a smile when we're there. We enjoy picking up unique beer and ciders from the wide assortment in the fridges in the second half, as well as finding interesting cheeses. It's also great for the one or two things you might need that evening or snacks for later. My only complaint is I wish I lived closer so I could go a bit more often!

This convenient little shop has an excellent wine selection and lots of upscale consumable options…read more Their wine pricing is also often less than the average prices listed on Vivino. It's a grocery store, but has a bit of a boutique and rich vibe. It's one of the few places to get Mary's Chicken in the area and I have to get chocolate every time I go in there. The ambiance seems very hygienic to me, so I feel drawn into the place when I walk by. The Nature Stop has nice stuff, but my review has to be in earnest... maybe 2 or 3 stars? It's annoying that through several iterations of ridiculousness, you have to expect encountering some unnecessary and incompetent problem during each transaction. Two different cashiers didn't seem to understand the concept of tare weight. They weighed the meat with the packaging and attempted to charge me for it, despite the fact that the weight of the meat was printed directly on the packaging. I've worked in a meat department before and I have never seen that kind of inept behavior. It's insulting to the customer. So at the present time, the 2021 Domaine Bousquet Malbec is $11.99 here. The cashier scanned it and it came up as zero. He joked that it was free, but then had the audacity to offer me the obviously more expensive reserve price of $16.99, like the reserve one right next to it, and laughed in my face. I passed as I knew that Trader Joe's has the exact same thing for $9.99. Tonight, the Elysian 'tiger beer', listed at $13.99, rang up at $17.99, the same as their space dust. I passed, but they should at least have offered to have honored the price they had printed out for customers to read. The Space Dust IPA at S&S Market, one block away, was $15.99, so I bought it there and got to pet their cat too. It's a bit of a first world problem, but I didn't notice until being at home that my $6.25 chocolate bar, which is more than I made hourly when younger, was comprised of the wrong variety. I grabbed the chocolate bar behind the front one, to avoid the most touched one. It is a berry chocolate bar instead of the ginger one, and it's great, but still, the employees should be better at recovery. I was one of about two people in the store and it was not busy. I recommend going to this place to get ideas. Double check all the prices and shop around, but they have great merchandise. My suggestion to the owner is to install a self-checkout. The guy stocking merchandise was very helpful tonight with my bags.

We were craving açaí bowls and went to our original spot: Bowl'D Açaí…read more Their bowls have a generous layer of tart açaí and the "These Nuts" bowls come with another velvety, thick, rich layer of homemade peanut butter, bee pollen, honey, granola, almonds, banana plus additional toppings for about $1 each (cocoa nibs, whey protein, chia seeds and more). I'm hungry just tapping out these ingredients. They have lots of other combinations including "Cheat Day" (mmm Nutella too!) FinnCinerator's had many times. Their green and blended smoothies and citrus and ginger shots are also terrific. Because I'm greedy I also ordered the "Great White" ahi bowl "piranha style" (spicy) that I could have later for dinner. It was a bit light on the ahi so I was slightly disappointed. It's such good quality tuna that I simply wanted more. There are other very good açaí businesses in San Francisco but Bowl'D Açaí satisfies like no other. I think it's the thiccc layers of ingredients and you just can't wait to dig in with a spoon! Bowl'D Açaí offers the kind of food my son's beloved swim coach calls "strong foods": Healthy foods meant to satisfy with enough carbs to power you through hours of working out yet not so heavy to weigh you down. Knowing this, Bowl'D Açaí is going to do gangbusters business once Fitness SF opens their beautiful new gym in November 2026 across the street in the Lombardi building. And good for them!

This location is really close to my work, which was great. I stopped by on a Tuesday at 1:30pm and there were only a few customers inside. I like the simple decor and the big menu on the wall, it reminded me of Hawaii. I ordered the original gangster and waited less than 5 minutes before it was ready. The açaí was not too sweet (just how I like it), and I loved all the toppings that came with it such as the granola, banana, blueberry, coconut shavings, and honey. The strawberry was a bit too tart but other than that, everything was great. I think I've found my favorite açai spot in the city. I can't wait to try other flavors next time I stop by.
