This review is for a take-out order. Let me start off by saying this was not a business I would have thought of going to because I don't just do salads as a meal unless it is a big giant taco salad, but for a work meeting, this was the place that lunch was ordered from. I got the Chicken Avocado Ranch for my selection (Antibiotic-free blackened chicken, avocado, pickled onions, apples, tortilla chips, white rice, chopped romaine, seed oil-free green goddess ranch) and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. As I was home on the Friday after the Xmas Day celebration, hungry, didn't want to cook/heat anything up, I decided to order this salad for dinner through Grubhub. While I was placing the order, I decided to try the Fish Taco for the next day's lunch (Antibiotic-free miso glazed salmon, avocado, shredded cabbage, cilantro, tortilla chips, herbed quinoa, spring mix). This bowl comes with a sweetgreen hot sauce & lime cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette, but I opted to switch that out for the Green Goddess Ranch and the Miso Sesame Ginger. I loved the fact that I would add or not include certain items. For example, I love goat cheese, so I add that to both bowls and it was delish. Delivery was pretty smooth, with the driver coming up to our floor to drop everything off. Both bowls looked visually pleasing and the overall taste was pretty good. The flavors were nice and there was a freshness to both bowls, even the Fish Taco one on the next day. FYI the Fish Taco bowl can only be ordered online, not ordered in the store...not sure why, but since I will not be going to the store, I am good with that. You also have the option to order a slice of bread with each bowl and that was nice. Next time I will see if I can get a second slice. Total cost for the two bowls, with some add-ons and service fee and tip was about $58. I will say it will be cheaper to go to the store and pick it up yourself, but I will pay to have stuff delivered to me for peace of mind. They do have an app for placing orders, but I will stick with Grubhub because that is free for me through Amazon. I realize sweetgreen has a mission statement about eating healthy, lowering their carbon footprint, a commitment to animal welfare, but before I knew any of that, I still would say the bowls were pretty good. Not that I crave salads or bowls that often, but if I do, this will be the first place I order from. read more

I actually have never been to a Sweetgreen and happy to report I've been missing out and have to go again. My bowl was really good I got the garlic parm cauliflower and chicken bowl. I reallyyy enjoyed it. Only thing was I expected the roasted broccoli to be warm not cold so that threw me off but now I know. The romesco sauce and basil sauce were really good too. I'm late to discover sweetgreen. For some reason, I thought ordering would take a long time so I just didn't stop in. But I'm moving and I haven't had food at home so I've picked up food here probably 6-7 times in the last month. There has never been the same staff member twice during my visits, so I've seen lots of people working here and every single one of them has welcomed me in, smiled, been super friendly, and thanked me for coming by. Plus the food had been great. It is so unusual these days to encounter kind and happy people at grab n' go places and to experience such great customer service. Love the concept of a healthy 'fast-food' option that's easily accessible! After a workout class in the area, some friends and I wandered over to sweetgreen for dinner. I've been to other sweetgreen locations, but this is my first time visiting the one in Andersonville. The inside was sleek and bright, and we were happy to see the outdoor patio tables! Chains are expanding their presence in Andersonville and Sweet Green is a solid addition. Overall, it is a quick grab and go spot with extremely easy online ordering. Staff works quickly and there is convenient shelving for to-go orders. There is some seating available for customers who would like to dine-in. In general, my grievances with Sweet Green are in the lack of blue cheese dressing and minimal salad dressing provided with online ordering. This is not necessarily the franchise's fault. To be clear, one side of dressing is never enough for a whole salad. You need at least 2, and 3 would be generous. Overall, I will still order from Sweet Green when I have a craving for a salad because it's the most affordable option in the neighborhood. I enjoy the Caesar and Cobb salads. read more

I used to live in this neighborhood, and now I'm visiting from out of town. I was sad to see Hamburger Mary's go, and I was prepared to hate this place based on the reviews and just nostalgia. There was a bit of a wait, but it was not that bad. There was only one girl making salads, and she was outstanding. She was so friendly and warm and seemed to really enjoy her job, which is rare. I got the green goddess salad and added a few items like avocado and egg. The whole thing was less than $13, and it was HUGE. Some of the reviews made it seem like I'd be getting a side salad, but that was certainly not the case. It was my first time at Sweet Green today and I loved the ambiance and how spacious it is inside. I ordered a customized bowl for pick up and the employees are as sweet as the name! Super friendly and warm smiles. I customized the harvest bowl on the app and opted for the following: arugula, shaved parmesan, parmesan crisps, warm quinoa, roasted chicken, sweet potatoes, apples, almonds and two servings of their spicy cashew dressing; This is such a healthy and delicious bowl. Sweet Green needs to expand their locations because this is the type of spot we all need to live a healthy lifestyle, instead of being stuck on greasy fast food. I love so many local small businesses and restaurants in Andersonville, AND I also LOVE Sweetgreen. Absolutely no shame. I could eat it everyday and be happy. The best place in the neighborhood to get delicious and healthy meals with lots of local and organic ingredients, including a variety of options for everyone's dietary needs and preferences. I recommend getting the salads that they recommend and not going to crazy with build your own. They pair things very well. Just sub out a few things if you need. Service is typically great too. I love this location! I often place orders here and it's always so pleasant experience. There is parking on the residential street but you have to pay to park. So I placed an pick up order and my food was prepared and ready for pickup in about 15 minutes. I'm walking in the store was very clean and fully stocked with napkins and fork etc. I was greeted as soon as I walked in by multiple employees. It's very organized so I was able to find my salad. Sweetgreen is not usually my first choice for dining in, probably because I have mostly experienced the chaos of downtown lunch hour crowds, but the Andersonville location is so spacious and comfortable! My usual order is the Shroomami Bowl, and it has been extra delicious being able to enjoy it in the dining room when it was freshly mixed with just the right amount of light dressing. All of the employee who've helped us were amazing! One had really thoughtful recommendations and an infectious enthusiasm for the Elote Bowl. I'll definitely try it with his suggested vegan modifications. More recently, I was worried it was too late to closing but the employee could not have been nicer. There was something so positive about my interaction with a petite female associate. I could tell she was smiling through her mask as she made my harvest salad. My mistake was to not note her name but only thank her directly for her wonderful positive energy. I wish I lived closer to this business, but sadly there isn't one near where I actually live, in Edison Park. This Sweetgreen newly opened up in Andersonville and it's my first time trying the chain. Overall.. pretty good! I particularly like the interior, it's bright, modern, fresh and it's very CLEAN. For super healthy food it's also pretty tasty. My only downside is that the portions of quinoa, chicken, etc that they give you with your bowl is pretty tiny. I ordered Sweetgreen for lunch today in attempt to make a healthier food choice. I did a build your own bowl with mixed greens, quinoa, roasted chicken and various toppings. My bowl just arrived and for a second I thought I was given croutons instead of roasted chicken. That is how dry and overdone this chicken is. I have no idea if this afternoon was busy, but anyone could look at this chicken and see it's not suitable for bowls at this point. For the price of a salad bowl I'd expect better quality on one of the main items. I suppose this is what I get for ordering via delivery. As an avid sweetgreen eater, I'm sad to say this is the worst sweetgreen I've ever been to. While customer service is great, They routinely mess up my order. Today I'm eating a salad with an incorrect ingredient and drowning in sauce, even though I only asked for medium dressing. I kid you not, I can literally spoon out the dressing, yuck. Sadly this is not the first time this has happened. The Anderson location screws up my order around 25% of the time. I really hope they can turn this place around since the location is so convenient. read more
