Sharing my story with the woman taking our order (who was just flat out wonderful) and it turned out to be their daughter! Yes, the goodness runs deep in this family establishment. And you just cannot beat the home made breads and deserts! And the sandwich's we ordered as well as the bulgarian chicken soup (!) were so good! Yea, this place is like a warm hug and comfort food. Wish I'd taken pictures -- O wait!! I did take a picture of the desert! I am dairy free and gf and she had something for me! (rare) . That dessert didn't make it home. The stripes were much thicker and less precise, the finish was not as smooth or polished, the edges were softer, and the cake did not have the same clean, upscale appearance as the inspiration photo. I reached out to customer service because this was for a special occasion and I expected the cake to more closely resemble what I ordered. Their resolution was to offer me a discount on a future cake order. While I appreciate the offer, I do not feel that a future discount adequately addresses the fact that the cake I already paid for did not meet the expected design or quality. I believe a partial refund or another resolution tied to this specific order would have been more appropriate. Unfortunately, based on both the cake and how the concern was handled, I would be hesitant to order again.

My son had the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and loved it. What stands out most is their commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients without cheap fillers or preservatives. The breads are flavorful and wholesome though occasionally a bit firm if not baked that same day, which is expected with preservative free baking. I've learned to time my visits with their baking schedule to get the freshest, softest loaves. The service is always friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting -- like a cozy mom-and-pop deli. The shop is clean and also offers a charming selection of extras like local honey, jams, tea towels, sourdough starters, pizza dough, olives, and pickled veggies. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and care put into their products. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for freshly baked goods and a welcoming local experience.
