I feel ripped off. I went last week for the first time, the owner looked at my items while I checked out the store. I noticed most items are sold in the $5.99 to $9.99 range, very few things cost lower than that. Some cat & jack items cost cheaper brand new at target! When I came to the register, the owner had selected 4 outfits, one hat, and two toys, and she offered me $6 dlls cash for all of them, or $8 dlls store credit. So, my items are not even worth $1 dlls each? She will at the very least quadruple the price on those, I felt a little offended. and I said I prefer not to sell them to her. Then she contemptuously asked if these items had been rejected at little birds? For reference, I was at little birds about a month ago, I brought in a baby bath tub, I saw they had one on the shelf selling for $10 dlls, they offered me $5 cash for it, or $8 dlls store credit. It felt like a fair exchange because they are paying me about half of what they will be selling for, and their items are very affordable, usually if I trade one or two outfits with them I can buy at least one pretty decent item with that credit, I love them even when they don't take everything I bring, because I don't feel like they are taking advantage of me. On the opposite side, this store wants to take 7 items from me and the money they offer only pays for one overpriced item? Very well maintained and orderly store. Tons of product but definitely overpriced items. I don't think a second hand travel system should be over $300, even despite the brand name. Overpriced for used clothes. Not a lot of great brands, a lot of stuff old navy and cat jack that are priced pretty high. You can actually find cheaper and new items at Marshall's next door. Just to give you an idea, a used vtech learning farm walker was sold there for $19.99. A wild bird sling was $60. Most toddler tops are around $6.99. Only things I think worth getting are formal dresses for events or Christmas. Those are priced around $9.99-12.99 which is reasonable. Otherwise I would pass on this place. I don't think they cycle through their cloths much because I've seen things there for a long time and it's because their prices are too high. read more

Sure wish I wld have read these reviews before I took the time to take my boutique items to sell at this store. It was extremely insulting and I walked out of there feeling like I was scammed by this store owner. However, I wasn't because I plainly told her no thank you to the $85 she offered me for 4 Costco sized black containers and two other totes full. She also wanted my black Costco bins! She wanted all of it! I'm going to rough estimate about $1500 in merchandise that was mostly brand new with tags attached. After looking around briefly at the overstuffed racks throughout this store I realized my items weren't even going to fit anywhere in this store. I have been in the resale business for quite some time so merchandising is nothing new to me. This place is far from eye appealing. Its clutter mess is far from inviting. This lady took over 100+ new and gently used upscale items and offered me $85. So basically about .85¢ per item. And to top it off all the items, once she went through them all, she tossed them on the floor behind her. All my items! They're not your items yet! Don't u have a rack to hang things on during ur inspection process? Nope. She did not. Why not? Cuz there wld be no place to put a rack for incoming merchandise. So let's just throw them on the dirty floor. Disrespectful to say the least. And a thief. Well there u have it another one chalked up in life experiences. I live much closer to this store than to the competition on Broadway and I needed a bathtub for my baby. I decided to pop in last week and it was a bit disappointing. I'd been here years ago and remembered it seeming overpriced. Unfortunately, I found the same to still be true. The ladies who were working were friendly, but the store itself feels a bit more like a thrift store than a consignment shop. They had a ton of clothing, much of it priced way too high for secondhand items. The stuff lining the walls was what I was interested in though. I came across small items I might want for my baby like a milestone mat that seemed fairly priced, but when I looked closer, I saw that whoever had it before had written in marker on the hoop that gets laid on the number of weeks or months old baby is. This, despite looking like it was never opened. I put it back. I eventually reached the baby bathtubs and the one I was interested in was not in the best shape when I pulled it down to inspect it. It needed to be cleaned and had definitely been used--which is fine, but for the price they were asking, it should've been in better condition. When I got home, I ordered one from Amazon for just a couple dollars more than the one in Sweet Repeats. I did find a sound machine I had on my Amazon registry for half the price, so I bought it. Also so much clothes for the kids at super cheap prices! They also have a few cribs and swings for a very fair price. I am quite a fan of this store. Walking in the sections are clearly labelled with large over head signs and the smell of the store is pleasant, something not all resale shops are known for. The aisles are a bit small but that is because the aisles are packed with full racks of nice clothes. The clothing and toys are all in amazing condition and very stylish. Lots of designers at much better prices, let's be honest kids out grow clothes so quickly and spending big bucks is just not always practical. Don't forget this store deals not only in baby and children's clothing but also in maternity wear. I did ask a sales associate if they had a dressing room and they said they did not however they offered me the bathroom and said that I could try on items in there if I wanted to and I'm glad they did. I was able to buy a pair of designer maternity jeans here for only $15 and most of the other maternity jeans were priced equally as well at $10 or less! This is a huge score considering most women will get a max of 7 months from any maternity piece. read more

Since this store is only a couple of doors down from the dance studio, I had time to check them out today. I found two pairs of sleepwear for the boy for only $5 each which is better than half price on a comparable pair I found at Wal Mart for $12. The jammies did not look used at all. For the girl I found a pair of jammies for $6 and two tops for $4 each. Their prices are a little higher than say Twice As Nice but then I thought the overall quality of goods was higher as well. I'll be shopping here regularly now especially since its so convenient when I have 45 mins to kill each week during dance classes. I plan to bring in a big tub of clothes to be recycled so I'll edit this review with my thoughts on that experience. I like how they buy all seasons of clothes all the time. Other stores limit what you can trade in and when. They also offer 2 for 1 deals thru the Yelp app, plus discounts for checking in and I signed up for coupons via email. My mom and I went to Sweet Repeats this afternoon and had a wonderful experience. I had read the reviews beforehand and saw some about negative experiences with the employees and I have bad anxiety, so I made my mom come with me just in case I experienced the same thing. Needless to say, I didn't. The girl who was working was SO sweet. She greeted us when we entered and then left us alone while we browsed. They had a wonderful selection of girls and boys clothes, especially the winter styles. SO many jackets! The pricing was great, I found two outfit sets I loved with the original tags still on them and only paid $8.99 each. We were able to find enough clothes to stock up my daughter's next size without breaking the bank. At check out, I was apologizing because we had so much stuff and I could tell the employee was busy but she was so kind and reassured me that it was okay. We cracked a few jokes back and forth and she didn't mind when my mom brought up a few more pieces to add to our purchase. We had a great experience today. read more

I received 6.00$ in store Credit for a pair of boots, and three used -once-only Halloween costumes. Well I accepted the store credit but after I looked around I realized according to their prices I could not even get a clearly worn pair of old navy boys jeans for that amount. In Hindsight I would have rather donated those costumes to kids in need, it would have made so much more sense. I saw a couple Circo shirts (Target brand) selling for 5-6$. This boutique has some nice stuff. For the most part, for being a consignment store, they are very overpriced. They will charge like $6.99 for a baby sleeper and then when you go to trade-in items, they give you the lowest deal in town. It's a rip off. Like I said, they do have some nice stuff, and you can find good prices, but this is not the place to try to get the most for your used children's items, there are better stores in Tucson for that. This business is insulting and a bunch of thieves . I'll be reporting them to the better business bureau. I brought several high quality , never used things to them a month ago and they offered me 3 dollars and a few things they said they didn't want. So I was lugging my baby in my arms and just asked them to donate a few things I was tired of living in my garage or car. I go in there today and all three items are on there display for sale. Un- effing - believable . And one item was 22 dollars that they said they didn't want to buy. I confronted the lady and she spewed out lies. Absolutely disgusted seeing my things on display after they said they didn't want them . I've also bought a couple toys from here that broke within the week. Disgusting business . LITTLE bird nesting company on Broadway always honors my things when I bring them in , offers reasonable exchanges , and the women who run it are easy to talk to and respectful of the things I bring . The ladies at sweet repeats are cold , arrogant liars and I've honestly never been more livid about an experience . When I bring things you honor me by actually donating when you say you're going to. Sweet repeats also sells used items at the same price you can find them new almost anywhere you look. Take my advice and be careful giving this store your things . Have shopped here for years, for my youngest son and now for my own grandchildren. The staff here is super helpful and easy to work with. I brought in my 4 year old Grand daughter to pick out a few dresses for herself and I didn't have to worry about the price or the quality because everything they have there is always in great condition. I was really bummed once Savers in the NW side of Tucson closed suddenly. With 2 kids I like to buy cheap cloths for my kids to play in and not worry about them getting stained or ruined. I had heard from a friend that there was a new place in Oro Valley for 2nd hand cloths. I was very impressed! Walked in and the girls greeted us right away. We browed and were surprised to find so many nice items. There were several pieces that still had the tags on! We purchased several things and got out without feeling like we spent and arm and a leg for cloths that WILL end up stained, torn or grown out of. Excellent store, I will return! read more

This review ia based on their trade. I really do like shopping here and normally find a few great things every time I go. Today I went in with a huge box and a bag of mainly 12 month baby girl clothes in great condition. Some of the clothes I even bought there as well as a pair of brand new shoes. A couple of the items including the shoes still had their tag on it. They unfortunately only took about 5 items and they did not even take the clothes that I bought from them not even a year ago. I would of liked to give them the benefit of the doubt, but not even buying back what I had recently purchased seems ridiculous. I use to love this store when it first opened. It was cute inside and they has a great variety. Unfortunately and I am unsure why but prices are more than what you'd pay in store practically. I was there recently looking for a holiday outfit for my three month old. A onesie that was a mock button down flannel alone was $10... That's insane for second hand! I just saw the same thing at Walmart new for $8! I went there a few weeks later looking for a bouncer $45, used. Then I went to little bird nesting company on Broadway.. Such a relief! I got my son an outfit, that's right not just a shirt an outfit for $6. I also was able to get a bouncer for $20! So in conclusion it's as expensive or more than new at a store. Walking in I did get greeted my a nice lady who was working even tho she seemed over whelmed cause she was the only one working the store on a Saturday, which I would think you would have at least 2people. I saw on their website they have maternity clothes as well as baby stuff. I went for the sole purpose of finding some good used maternity clothes, as I am quickly outgrowing my normal clothes. I was disappointed to find there was only one small rack dedicated to the mom-to-be. Also, rather strange and awkward...while I was in the store there was another couple arguing with the two girls that worked there. One of the young ladies working said something like "well if you take it today, that would be considered stealing". The male customer responded by saying "if that's how you run your business then..." I walked out before I could hear the rest. It was a very uncomfortable situation and I felt the need to get out asap! read more

Such a disappointment because they are so close to my house. Bought about 20+ items from me, which were new/ mostly unworn and all nice brands (polo, Gymboree, etc) and gave me $8 in trade (so less than .40 cents an item). I couldn't even buy 2 things in the store with the trade. I wish I would've just kept the clothes to find someone to give them to because it's not worth it, or take them to Little Bird Nesting Company (who is the best btw- just a far drive from me). Asked why she gave so little, and she said it's because some of them were off season and she has to rent a storage for extra clothing. I discovered this place because it is right next to my neighborhood's Trader Joe's. When I saw a Living Social deal for it, I decided to gamble and buy one. I spent $20 for $40 worth of merchandise. Well, truth be told, once I walked in there, I was out of control- like a kid in a candy shop. Imagine the best black friday shopping trip you've ever had... yeah, it was THAT good. I ended up buying my newborn baby 10 outfits, (mostly high end brands- GAP, Polo, Guess, Carter's) with my little Living Social voucher. The owner of the store is very friendly. The staff is very helpful and a pleasure to do business with. I will definitely be visiting them again when my little one outgrows all the cute outfits I found for him there. read more

I know they have to make profit off of purchased goods but the low ball prices they buy for are a very small fraction of what the sell for. I've been a customer at this store for around four years. It was so great back in 2011-2012 and I would love going. Like some of the other reviews state, they lack in customer service and their prices, I know for a fact, are higher than Target brand new and it's usually an outdated outfit. (You save 5% automatically for having a redcard, but Sweet Repeats wants to charge $5.99 for a new with tags onesie from Target that originally cost $6 the previous year) Their selection, I feel has definitely dwindled in the last couple of years. And again, their prices for used pajamas complete with poop stains (seriously, I had to bring it to the front counter and show them) are way too high. As for a little more specifics on the customer service, the owner has made faces to other employees about customers (myself included) and they don't even greet you when you walk in. This place had my business for a long time, so much so that I actually drove from Southeast Tucson. But not anymore. I've tried... But I'm just not impressed anymore and I don't want to pay $5.99+tax for a onesie from last year when I can get something brand new for cheaper. Would not recommend this place to anyone. I dislike this store and won't go back. I tried taking some very nice, worn once clothing to them, which was appropriate for the season, along with several brand new motherhood maternity tops...they wanted to take an armful of clothes and give me $8 in trade...they would have easily made $100 off the armful (I mean a literal armful) of maternity clothes, Ralph Lauren baby clothes and new Carter's stuff. The customer service is terrible as well...my god I've never been to any other mommy stores where the owner and employees look and speak in such a condescending manner, especially since I barely said two words to them but right off the bat I was treated like crap. I'm a frequent flyer at second hand name brand stores and have never been to a resale store that didn't at least make a least a small offer on used infant name brand clothing. Drove all the way from Florence because I've heard good things store and but will not recommend this place for resale items. I would of even been happy if she offered me a discount off new clothing in exchange for the items I was trying to get rid of. At least at Goodwill I can write it off on my taxes. read more

I agree with the other reviews, they are really expensive for used clothing. ~6 for tops and ~13 for outfits. The only reason why I walked away with something was because yelp has a deal for $20 for $10 so I paid $12 for 3 items and one was a insulated vest NWT. They also did military discount on my remaining balance which was really generous because it was $2 off. With that said, without all the discounts it was easily $25 for 3 things! That's kind of crazy. I appreciate twice as nice even more because I rarely use cash there I always have store credit from buy backs. read more

I have been going to Sweet Repeats since they opened, and I have never shopped at a better resale store-- children's or otherwise. It's well-organized; even when there's merchandise overflowing, the staff rearranges the store to accomodate both the merch AND the shoppers (which is unfortunately rare, and anyone who has tried to navigate a Gymboree with a stroller would agree). The store is adorably decorated, and the buyers are always very diligent about researching equipment and giving top trade dollars. I can't say enough positive things about Sweet Repeats! read more
