I went there for the first time ever yesterday and I have to say I had a bad experience with one of the nail techs. Four of us went in for pedis and I was the only one to get a mani. As time went on they started to get a little more busier so I think they were trying to rush on us. The lady was moving fast to do my nails and she ends up cutting me TWICE! My pinky was bleeding a lot. The bleeding eventually slows and she is about to start painting my nails and asked if I want to grab my money out of my purse and pay first and I told her no it's fine I will have one of my friends take the money out for me. So she adds the polish to my nails and before she finishes it with a top coat she again asks if i want to take the money out first because she will not fix it if I mess it up. But she cuts me twice and makes me bleed and I still paid! If I was to accidentally mess up my nails she would not be able to fix it even after she just cut me? That's ridiculous! The man that did my pedi was good but I did not leave any tip at all for her rude behavior. I was not going to write a review but after she said that I had to come and share the experience I had with them. I left a photo on the page. I didn't know how to add it with my review. I didn't mind the wait the place is exquisite and inviting. They also have a big basket of candy!! That kept me well occupied. Macy was my nail tech. 5/5 for my paint job 5/5 for my hand massage 5/5 for the execution of my overall results. Macy was real quick on her feet to cover and fix my left middle finger. Which I happened to smack my phone with. I told her you can just leave it because I wasn't sure if my program would even allow color I just needed to pamper my man hands. She said it's fine! They got me in that day and took the time to help me get them taken off and then redid them for me the way I had originally wanted them done with just a gel manicure. Please avoid this salon at all cost. Even if they're the only one that can get you in at the moment. Even if they have cheap prices. I went last April & I received the worst pedicure. I wanted raw white glitter (I didn't know it was called raw glitter at the time). I showed a picture to the man working & he said they didn't have it. Half way through my pedicure he goes "oh I think I know what that was. You just put matte polish over glitter". He put matte polish over a gold glitter, which made my toes look like a fungus color. So ugly. Not only was the color ugly, but he also cut my toe nails short & round. Whereas I like mine square. Today I tried to give them a shot again. I asked for a full set with pink acrylic. Tried to talk me out of it. Said it was going to be $35. Then said it was going to be $40 cause I wanted them long. (They aren't long. They're maybe a medium length). She made them so thin, that I could still bend the nails. So she had to add more acrylic. I wanted coffin, but she did a lame attempt. Half assed. I came home & had to file them myself. (I'm a cosmetologist so I know about nails too). Plus a $2 charge to use my card. $42 for nails that were different lengths & shapes & she (Mary) also cut me with the file on multiple fingers. read more

I went in to get a pedicure for my graduation and was embarrassed because my feet were not in the best shape from a day at work... but nothing and no one there made me feel like there was anything wrong with me. Hoy (as in Chips-Ahoy as he explained) was lovely. He did an amazing job and made me feel comfortable with my first pedicure ever. He took his time and showed he cared to do a phenomenal job. He even offered to add a paw on my nails to represent Fresno State. When he did this, he corrected what appeared like a mistake to him which I did not see as mistake at all. We had great conversations. He also made my boyfriend who accompanied me feel at ease. If it weren't for him, I don't think my boyfriend would have tolerated the waiting. Absolutely horrible customer service I asked for a soak off and it started to burn so I told the nail tech (older lady) that it was starting to burn and I have sensitive fingers (due to lupus) so I wanted to just do the pry off method. The tech said "if you want to do it yourself you can if you have no money" I let it slide because it was broken English but I felt it was slightly prejudice. I think I have the right to change what I want and I didn't want the soak off anymore so and I asked for the usual pry method. They made me wash my hands and LEAVE they were very rude about it but it was mainly the older lady with the bad blush. If they were worried about hurting me they could've asked me to leave in a more professional way and I would've understood she just pointed at the sink and said leave. He is most rude and unprofessional guy who does nails very poorly and unpleasantly. You can tell he hates what he does. He doesn't know how to cut, file or buff or polish. He does them haphazardly. This place was okay. I saw this place has 4 stars so I decided to give it a try. I definitely will not be going back. Pedicure was definitely 5/5. Very relaxing and pleasant experience. The manicure however was a 1/5 at best. I got a dip manicure. (My usual, I have been getting it for years so I know the steps.) -To get the product off my nails the nail tech literally scrapped it off. At one point I even pulled my hands back because it was pretty aggressive and painful. -The dip was way too think. Then the mail tech added a gel top coat which is not normal and added additional thickness. -There is not only dip polish but cured gel all over my nail beds. -And last but certainly not least the tech didn't even shape my nails because they were "too short" for her. I may even go to another salon to fix all the mistakes. read more

Read all the great reviews and decided to take a group of girls here for a bachelorette party to get our nails done. Made reservations for 7 people at least two months early, called the week before to verify, and again the day before. It should have been crystal clear: 7 PEOPLE! So we show up and there are 3 techs, one of whom is working on somebody else. They shaped the nails very strangely, and to get your previous polish off they will leave you soaking your hands and feet in acetone WAY longer than necessary! That can't be good to absorb all of that acetone into your bloodstream! The lady made my fingers bleed profusely. While we were there 2 other people came in with "reservations" only to be told that they had no record of said reservations. 3.5 hours later we had missed all other plans for the day. Thanks a lot. 4 months later I swear they painted colored cement onto my nails. I've soaked them in acetone, paint thinner, lacquer thinner, mineral spirits and other stuff and finally got the "polish" off with 200-grit sand paper. Awful experience, RUINED the bachelorette party. read more

Back story: I have lived in Clovis for a little over a year. Needless to say finding a nail salon that worked the way I was use to with quality and design was very hard to find until yesterday! I finally looked up nail salons in Clovis, CA on Yelp and this little salon came highly recommended. I walked in, showed a picture of what I wanted and was immediately assisted. They listened to my concerns with other salons in the area and went to work. I was treated with care and even given a refreshment while he went to work. My artist was Hoi and he was gentle and very exact with the shape of the nail and the designs I wanted. I showed him a picture I found on the internet and with some artistic freedom I left with EXACTLY what I wanted. This salon was clean, the space that they use to do your nails was immaculate. The staff joked around with one another and with me which made me feel better, I hate when you go to a salon and they talk in a language you can't understand and are discussing you and your nails. The price was excellent, the care was overwhelming and the staff were delightful. I will call Sweet Nails my home nail salon from this point forward. read more

So I call ahead to make an appt for myself and my 6 year old after gymnastics. I arrive to them having to unlock and then relock the doors behind you; a full house at least 12 people including the inexperienced workers who happen to be the owners wife and son. The son seated me and my daughter then after explaining to him that I had a hang nail he asked his dad what he should do? Should he not already be licensed on what to do? So then I'm looking at the gel polishes for my toe color. I choose a pretty ombré white and pink color. When I tell them I want that they say $35 I asked how much to do my nails the same? They said another $45, ok I'll do it! I ask can I add this glitter to one finger? She says it's extra each finger for polish! Ok... so then she tells me "oh no we cannot do ombré on toes" I said alright what about a white tip with pink polish instead of clear? She says ok! It's extra! is the polish not included in my $45 manicure already? So then I'm like u know what nvm they barely started on my toes, just do our toes it's getting too complicated at this point. The owner then says you can leave, go! While I'm with my 6 year old daughter who's asking me "mom we can't get our toes done?" How sad I had to answer no and I don't even know why. So I'm kicked out with acetone and foil wrapped around my toes! And they're functioning during COVID-19 mandated closures..... why would they be so rude to a paying customer? I was willing to pay $100 for a pedicure/manicure until they started trying charge extra for any little thing like polish and glitter! Not even rhinestones, no designs! I am extremely unsatisfied with my service. Went to get an acrylic full set and within a week they started popping off. I get my nails done every 2 weeks and this set didn't even last a week. Their product is horrible and technique is off. One of my nails had a crack and one just completely fell off so I went back to get it fixed and ended up with them looking lumpy and DO NOT look the same as the others. Also I can still see the crack. I went back a second time to just get my money back and they only wanted to give me half. They are very unprofessional. I asked the male nail tech if he was okay sending his customers out with nails looking like that and he said "yes". I will not be back. It was nice that they were able to get my friend and i in the week covid 19 restrictions lifted. However, the gel on both my fingers and toes came off in less than a week. My toes usually last 2 months and i was shocked to see one of my toes nail polish already peeled.
