I have been going here since it first opened years ago. the owners, Steven and Anna set high…read morestandards. The place is immaculate, everyone is super friendly and attentive, and I've never had anything but top notch service.

You know, this place was a little pricey but good when they started out. Unfortunately, over time…read morethey became too busy and really shotty. I'd give them a pass when my nails were less than perfect because hey, I'm gonna screw them up at home eventually so the one off was no biggie. But then it got to the point where I'm all Jesus Christ, I've come here how many times and I've always tipped very well and for real guys, we Weston women do not all look the same and you always act like you've never seen me. I started getting pretty irked when I'd call ahead to make an appointment but had to wait up to 30 minutes, yet it was a real boot up the butt when the mani/pedi would be super rushed. It's a lot of money to be pushed through the conveyor belt like that. They have these signs up about getting an eyebrow wax with the pedicures I'd choose, but do you think even ONCE that happened? I got really annoyed the one time I had French gels and one chipped 2 days in. It's a real pain to go for a fix, but I did this time because my nails were so new. When the gal started to do the fix, she pulled out a really pink color and I'm all whoa whoa whoa wrong color - and I was 100% sure because I can't stand the generic pink they use. Reminds me of dying flesh. So Steve came over and told me that it gets lighter in the sun and I'm like I don't think so, this is the wrong color. He wasn't budging and fade in/fade out he was wrong. For the next 2 weeks I had 9 nails that looked nice and 1 that looked like I stuck my finger in a jar of jam. My final visit was a disaster. I chose a navy blue dip and all I can say is that when they were 'done,' my hands had blue powder over every single finger and it looked like a blind kindergartener did my nails. We're talking Smurf territory. "Oh, it'll wash off" they said. Guess what - no it does not. A week later I still had blue fingers. And for even more entertainment, my nails were so thick and goopy looking it was beyond embarrassing to show my hands in public. Shame on me for paying for that mess. These guys really lost the plot. Go across the street to Wilton Nails. You'll get a great mani/pedi (on time), a good massage (included in the price) and it's less expensive.

Oh... how I miss this place. While running errands in my old Connecticut neighborhood I decided to…read moretreat myself to a mani-pedi at my favorite old salon. I nearly forgot how wonderful they are. Susan is no longer there, however, Kelly and Kim (I think that was her name) were marvels! This was, by far, the best gel mani I have ever gotten in... maybe ever. Really, it made me yearn to move back. it was definitely worth the 40 mile drive. In the weeks that followed I did every conceivable thing to sabotage my nails. hauled furniture, gardened, painted, scrubbed with wire mesh, never, ever wearing gloves. It was insane how perfectly they held up. Not one break, chip, or peel off. Its been nearly three weeks now. If not for the fact that my nails have grown out, they look as great as the day I had them done. Not kidding. Those ladies have serious skills! I noticed that their process is in some ways different than the other salons and am certain those measures account for the durability and polish. They also don't rush or cheat. Another big thing for me... without my asking, both women took additional steps to correct or minimize imperfections in my nails - the sort of things that I feel embarrassed to call out. Done without discussion and I thank you! Bonus points for free bottled beverages, clean, quiet atmosphere and a superb back massage. If you are local to Susan's, I am so jealous of you.

Wow. This seriously is the best deal for a manicure I've ever had…read more I first came to Susan's Nails years ago (13 years ago, in fact) before my sister's wedding. Over the years, I've been here a few times when I've been back in town, and my mom has come here once in a while, but not since Susan herself stopped working here. Before yesterday's visit, it never struck me as anything out of the ordinary, but they've made some amazing changes to their services which make this place really stand above the rest. My mom and I stopped in here for manicures early afternoon and were attended to immediately. The three technicians working (one male, two female) were very sweet, and attentive to my infant daughter who watched us from her stroller. I have had bad experiences with guys doing my nails in the past, so I was a bit unsure of how this would turn out, but the man technician who did my nails was top notch quality and super attentive to every detail in the process. My nails (and my mom's) look great, but the whole experience was worth waaaay more than the $10/manicure price we paid. Why? Well, with your manicure, you get a nice hand scrub and massage, a complimentary paraffin wax treatment for your hands (!!!), hot towel, a neck/back massage during the paraffin treatment AND a massage (with some deliciously warm neck compress) while your hands are drying. I've paid $15 extra for paraffin treatments in the past, and could not believe that this was all included in the $10 price tag. My mom also got a wrap put on one broken nail and it looks good as new! I will definitely make a point to come back here whenever I come home to Wilton.
