Was leaving NH this morning and was looking for a nice coffee shop on my route. Stopped here, and it was a huge mistake. Ordered a coffee and breakfast sandwich to-go. Pretty simple. Got the coffee right away and then proceeded to wait 1 hr and 5 minutes for my breakfast sandwich, that was consumed in 4 bites. The most unorganized place I have ever seen. As countless people waited by the kitchen for their orders, the kitchen staff spent more time reading the tickets, than actually making food. Several people asked for refunds because they couldn't wait. I had a 3 hr ride ahead of me, so I decided to stay. The last thing I will mention, is that it wasn't even that busy. Plenty of open tables. After a while, they started to tell new customers that it would take approx. 30 mins for food, which was a complete lie. What a mess. Not sure how they stay in business. read more

So sad for such a cute place! Picked a nice spot on the deck - didn't count on the stinky garbage smell wafting over. However, the flavorless food was the real issue. The eggs (scrambled) flavorless, the homefries tasted like bad grease from the grill. The challah French toast that I was really looking forward to was completely lackluster. No nice cinnamon flavor.... Disappointing for 36 bux. My husband enjoyed the chai latte. read more

Do not advertise yourself as a gluten free bakery when that is not accurate. Drove by this place on vacation and pulled in hoping that, as a Celiac, I had found a great place to eat. Only to walk in and find that it is not a gluten free bakery and their items labeled gluten free are not even made in a gluten free facility. False advertising. Take the sign down and replace it with gluten free options available! read more

My family and I stopped in for quick sandwiches before heading to our hike. The cashier was friendly and efficient, but the lack of effort from the kitchen staff is disappointing!! I ordered a BLT with avocado and the avocado slices were already turning dark, the lettuce has a dead fruit fly. My sister's grilled cheese sandwich had a hair in it. With a little more effort from the kitchen staff (hair nets, proper washing of their produce) this place has great potential! read more

We stopped by for lunch and thought that it looked like a fun place. We waited in line for almost 25 minutes (there were only 2 parties in front of us). When it was our turn we were excited to order and politely did so. The woman behind the counter was very rude to us. In spite of that we continued to be polite and asked a simple question about one of the items on the menu. She must have been having a bad day because she responded very sarcastically. At that point my husband said, "Never mind we're leaving" and we did so. read more

Recent addition to town; friendly staff and quality food at good prices. We enjoy going in for lunch. Everything we've tried has been tasty.

Stopped in today for my second visit and was sadly disappointed. I too had to wait quite a while before getting waited on while the person behind the counter took care of many other things and even at times seemed overwhelmed. My husband ordered a morning glory muffin and felt that the size of the muffins varied. My daughters bagel was actually burnt and tasted as if it had spent some time very close to an onion bagel. I was served a very bland blueberry scone. Even the coffee was a disappointment this time around:(. On our first visit we met the owner and his wife and the food they served was a completely different story. I don't think I will plan to recommend this place to my friends and I don't think I'll be stopping by again too soon. read more

Food ok but not worth it for the terrible service. Told us wait was 25 minutes and ended up being one hour twenty five. To boot, staff was snippy and uncaring...skip this place! read more

First visit there the owner waited on me. Ordered breakfast to go. Food was decent. She was very nice and hospitable. Second vist to this establishment, I took my boyfriend with me. When we got our food part of the ingrediants was missing on my plate. I asked the staff at the register. She came back to my table and told me to bring my order to the kitchen window and then walked away. I guess, this is a do it yourself place. IMO she was rude about the situation...no apologies. The line cook comes to the windown and slaps a piece of cheese on the the sandwich with her bare hands. No gloves for sandwich making??? My BF complained about the serving size which was obviously inadequeate. He had a side salad of broccoli which was about the size of a teaspoon. He asked for tortellini salad. He did compliment the bread. The treatment from the staff was very unprofessional and rude. I was really dissappointed because I've been asking him to go to Sweet Maple with me for months. He won't go back. I would rather have owner present if I go back in and it will be to grab a latte to go. read more

Stopped in for lunch with a friend. Not enough staff working. Waited quite a while. There was a girl working along with a middle aged woman who appeared to be the owner. She was very abrasive while speaking to her staff and customers alike. I tried ordering a shot of espresso for my coffee while she was berating the girl working the counter for making drinks incorrectly, she appeared to be pretty new. The lady looked and me and rudely asked did you pay for a shot of espresso? No I'm actually just trying to order it. I said nevermind at that point, but she continued to make it anyhow while still being rude to the other employee. Then it cost 2 dollars just for a single espresso shot. There should be $$$$ in the price range, and it's for mediocre food, and poor customer service at best. read more

The outside looked promising, as this restaurant replaces old breakfast place we used to stop at. Inside is inviting (though small) with gluten free items (great addition). You place your order at the counter, pay, then get it delivered. It was quickly obvious that you would be waiting a very long time before you were served. Only 2 people working on a Sun. morning at 9am...really?? Very extensive menu for a small place, but if you can't even get a cup of coffee for 25 minutes, what good is that? It was obvious the line was not moving, and I really mean "not moving." We followed a few couples out the door and back into our cars to head elsewhere. This place has a great location, but I'd say that's all they have going to them. I would say if you see more than 2 cars in the parking lot, don't bother to stop unless you have a lot of spare time to kill. read more

My wife brought our kids here for breakfast the morning after a storm. A woman was outside shoveling and told them they could go in a little early and seat themselves. Once she came inside to take her order, my wife ordered two valley logger breakfasts. The woman says no you can't order that is too much food for me to cook. Really??? The woman explained that all the burners and grilles would take a half hour to warm up. Don't you think they should have the kitchen ready when people come in to order food??? My wife took the kids and left. My father in law used to go there occasionally but always waited over an hour for his food. Lets just say he no longer goes there. read more

Cute cafe however the food wasn't worth the price and the taste wasn't on par. My father and I ordered the horseradish steak and cheddar sandwich and we were asked how we wanted it cooked. We told them medium, and it came out well done, and didn't taste any sauce at all. We had another issue with another sandwich and they got an attitude. I probably won't be back. read more

Went there 9:30 am July 22, 2016. The counter service concept is not smart. Unorganized. My g/f and I had spillover patrons from the line standing 1 foot off our shoulders as we were trying to eat. Most patrons seemed to be getting annoyed by the system. Lots of customers going back up to the counter asking for missed items in their orders. Food was ok. The g/f's omelette was very dry and barely had any bacon. My corned beef hash has was from a can. Pancakes were very good, although if you get any type of pancake other than plain YOU HAVE to order 3. WHY? Oh one more thing: You have to bus your own trays/scrape your plates/sort your silverware. There's a sign next to each table stating the staff will take care of your soiled dishes for a fee (they call it a tip). Tourist trap. I'd love to know what percent of tourists who have been here once return. read more

So much promise...but executed HORRIBLY. stopped by here on our way out of town this weekend. Excited to see outdoor seating on such a nice morning. Grabbed a menu, sat down, and were told to order at the counter when we were ready. That's an odd concept for a Sunday breakfast place, but ok. Got in line....and waited well over 20 minutes to order. The counter is incredibly disorganized. They'd be much better off hiring wait staff and doing table service, at least for this time of day. While we were waiting, I saw no fewer than ten couples/groups show up and leave when they saw the line...despite over half the tables being empty. Once food was ordered, it showed up in a reasonable amount of time...but just eh. My pancakes and bacon were fine, nothing to write home about. Boyfriend's home fries were burnt and inedible, but the rest of his food was ok. Overall, we were so frustrated that we definitely wouldn't come back, and wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless they change their service. read more

My friends and I stopped in to the Sweet Maple Cafe this past Saturday. We each ordered separately, two of us got the sirloin steak and cheddar, while one got the smokehouse turkey and bacon. For my order specifically, I had one large iced coffee and the sandwich. My total came to $18.95. I asked the cashier if this could be correct, because the sandwich itself was listed at $9.95. The cashier's response was "yeah...we're really expensive". (Definitely the most expensive coffee I've ever had at 10 dollars.) There was clearly a mistake, and no effort into correcting this. I did not feel like wasting the effort in fighting however, and waited for my sandwich. The steak panini is essentially a piece of grey rubber. My friends and I were even joking to each other asking if the cook has ever even tried to eat the sandwich, because it was that difficult to chew a piece off. I traded a half with my friend to try the smokehouse chicken, which was equally as disappointing. This one was a dry chunk of chicken slathered in hot mustard. Do yourself a favor and avoid this cafe, there are several breakfast and lunch spots in north conway, just about 10 minutes past this location. read more

My husband and I, who live locally, along with our 2 out of town friends, decided to try Sweet Maple Café for breakfast this morning. We've driven by the restaurant many times to see a full parking lot and thought that it must be a great find. After going for breakfast this morning, I have to say that I'm a bit baffled as to why the parking lot is so full. The place is very cute and clean, I will give it that. I wish that the food and service matched the atmosphere. When I go out for breakfast on a Sunday morning after working all week long, I enjoy being served versus having to go up to the counter to order, pick up my own food and then bus my table. The tip jar on the counter sort of baffles me as well whereas you are doing your own service. I ordered a quiche and wheat toast. The toast looked like white bread with a slight color of wheat but there was no signs of any fiber or grain in the bread. The quiche has a very weird texture and the onions in it were uncooked and the amount of sage was over powering. My husband's omelette was over cooked and lacked flavor. His toast was cold and under buttered and again, lacking any evidence of being wheat other than a tannish color. Our friends said that breakfasts were ok but whereas we were paying I honestly think that they were trying to be polite. We were excited to try a new restaurant and to support a local business but most likely will not give it a second chance. read more
