I ordered three entrées and was very clear that the food would be eaten by both adults and young kids. For each dish, I specifically asked for "low spice," "no spice," or "mild," and the young woman at the front confirmed that none of them would be spicy. Unfortunately, when we got home and started eating, it was the complete opposite. I've honestly never had Indian food this spicy. One of my kids took a single bite and immediately started crying. My other kid couldn't make it past the first bite either, and even I was sweating so much from the heat that I couldn't enjoy the food. We ended up having to make completely different dinner arrangements. I understand that Indian food can be spicy, and if that's what you're looking for, this place may be great. But when a customer specifically asks multiple times for mild or no spice, especially after explaining that young children will be eating it, that request needs to be taken seriously. Unfortunately, for us it was a completely wasted $54 and a very disappointing first experience. I really wanted to like this place given how close it is to our house, but after this experience, we won't be going back.

Everything is clean and well-kept, bathrooms included. The chicken tikka masala is phenomenal--tender chicken in a perfectly spiced, flavor-packed sauce. The vegetable samosas are some of the best I've ever had, especially with their mint chutney, which deserves its own round of applause. I got a little excited and ate one samosa before remembering I needed a picture. Thankfully, I saved one for Yelp. And the garlic naan?! Crispy around the edges, soft and perfectly chewy, loaded with garlic and cilantro. I actually ate the leftovers the NEXT DAY. If you know me, that carries significant weight because I do not do leftovers. I literally carried that naan around until every last piece was gone. The people running the restaurant are incredibly kind and welcoming, and the service has been wonderful both visits. I've tried a LOT of Indian food, and this is easily one of my favorites. Anytime I'm back in Scottsdale, I'm coming back. The naan and mint chutney alone have secured my return.

We came on a Saturday during lunchtime and they weren't busy. The buffet was clean and organized accordingly. They had clearly labeled vegetarian and non-vegetarian sections, with almost equal amounts of dishes offered per section, which we really appreciated. Naan is ordered fresh and not just laying out on the buffet line. The spice level of the available dishes aren't too overwhelming but still had a nice kick to it. Additionally, the meat dishes offered were surprisingly tender. Overall, service was friendly and attentive. The price of the buffet was more than reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food offered and the location of the restaurant. This location is a bit smaller than the Tempe one but this one has both indoor and outdoor seating.

I can only imagine how amazing it must look in the evening or at night. The atmosphere and ambiance are wonderful. The staff is welcoming, the restaurant is very clean, and everything is well organized. The wall art is also absolutely beautiful. The food was fresh and delicious. Their mango lassi was divine, and they even offer rose milk, which I have not seen at many other restaurants. They also have an amazing selection of drinks. The buffet has plenty of variety, with excellent options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Each curry was unique--the dishes looked different, tasted different, and were cooked to perfection. I ordered the garlic naan, and it was absolutely delicious. It was crispy on the bottom while remaining soft, buttery, and garlicky on top. It had the perfect extra crunch, yet it was still soft and easy to fold. They also offer a great selection of alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. The buffet is only $17.99 per person, and you receive a 10% discount when paying with cash. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in Scottsdale or visiting the area!

Mine included two soups (Sambar and Rasam), a potato-tomato curry, a gourd dal, batsmati rice, an AMAZING chutney, a chickpea fritter, papad and poori. I was offered extra helpings of anything I liked - like a buffet, but more effective. And it was $9.99 for their opening week! I was so full from what I had that no extras were needed. Everything was great - full of flavor, not too spicy and not greasy. The gourd dal was so interesting - clearly freshly made and not spicy, but with a nice mellow flavor. I've never had gourd dal before, but would get it again! The fritter may have been my favorite new find. Not quite a falafel, but headed in that general direction. My husband enjoyed his Masala Dosa as well. It had a typical blend of potatoes, onions and spices but wasn't too greasy like some dosa can be. It came with Sambar (soup) and two chutneys. Service was spot on - fast, friendly and accurate. The restaurant is clean and inviting, but a bit on the smaller side (probably about 12 booths/tables?).
