I hired for residential cleaning. Two women came to clean the house and they were nice but did a very average job. I have hired cleaners before who were far more thorough at half the cost. There were areas of the house that were not dusted, etc. I actually truly don't know what they did in 6 hours; it looked like they did about 2 hours of work. However, if it ended there I simply wouldn't hire again and move on. The bigger problem was the cleaners accidentally let out our cat; I understand accidents happen but Marguerite's response was tacky, insensitive, and frankly made me even more mad. Marguerite essentially implied that I was wrong and wasn't looking hard enough for the cat. She did not apologize for the stress and frustration, meanwhile my 6-year-old daughter spent the afternoon crying about her lost cat. THEN Marguerite had the gall to send a message asking when I am going to rebook my next cleaning. When it was clear I was upset at her tactless response, she called to act apologetic and then said "So I'm guessing you're not going to pay then"... again, a comment that was triggering and in poor taste given the situation. I'm sorry, let me find my family pet that your team lost due to negligence before I rebook and you get on my case about payment. Poor customer service response all the way around. Honestly had her response been more professional and sensitive I would have viewed the whole situation far differently. My cat ended up returning, I paid for the cleaning (which was very overpriced), and when I offered Marguerite suggestions for her customers in the future-- to include conversation about pets in the intake-- she again made it seem like it was somehow my fault ("Usually customers just tell us when they have pets"). The whole tone of the experience was an example of what NOT to do in customer service, and on top of a stressful experience and sub-par overpriced cleaning anyway, I would absolutely not recommend doing business with this company.

Literally had the worst experience with them that I had to create a yelp account just to write this. Me and my roommate received a promotional card that said "25 dollar cleanings!". We have a very small apartment and we only wanted 3 tiny rooms cleaned as a one-time thing so we could start the month off fresh. As soon as the cleaner arrived I knew we had made a mistake. She brought her ~10 year old daughter with her, and said her daughter doesn't understand english and that she had trouble communicating herself, WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE if not for what happened after, but it was honestly horrible & weird watching a little girl mop, anyway, about 45 minutes in, the mother handed me a cell phone and apparently it was her boss telling me the bill I received on the app was not correct and 70 dollars needed to be added to it since it was our first cleaning. I was extremely confused and asked her to further explain but she just repeated it and said, "don't worry it's a one time thing". Then the cleaner herself started saying the same thing repeatedly as I looked at her confused. How was I suppose to say "Okay no!" and kick these people out of the house after 45 minutes????? I planned to call back to at least understand the extra charge, but I would NOT have been writing this review if there was just that charge and no other issues. The mother and daughter left an hour later, the place was only cleaned on the surface, (floors were washed, counters were wiped, that's about it) I would have been unsatisfied regardless, but for the fact that I ended up being charged ~180 (I really thought it was going to be ~85) for 3 rooms you can hardly even spread your arms in is ridiculous. (The kitchen is 1/4 of the living-room, the bathroom is a short hallway w a toilet, and my bedroom is a small boston college apartment bedroom :,( ) The worst part so far is that I called to ask about the fee and possibly fight it only to find out that we are FORCED to have 3 more of these overpriced and suspicious cleanings. Zyp has been messaging me for months now brining up that the next cleaning is coming and I have to keep calling, asking to speak to a manager, and putting off these overpriced and unprofessional cleanings. When I called to complain and ask for a refund, their customer service said they couldn't refund but could send a cleaner to deliver the service I ordered in the first place, with no extra charges. So I accepted it. However, a few days later I found out that they had charged me the price of the full service again, without me knowing it at all. If I hadn't checked my credit card records, I probably wouldn't even notice this second charge. Their customer service was really hard to communicate with as well. So if possible, don't choose this company. If you choose to work with these people, be very careful and double check how much and how many times they charge you.

I don't normally write reviews, but I feel taken advantage of by XPro Cleans and want to warn…read moreothers. I'll break my feedback into three parts: upcharges, scheduling, and quality. Upcharges Like another reviewer, I called XPro Cleans to schedule a move-in/move-out cleaning and was upfront and clear about what I needed. Somehow that was interpreted as a "deep clean", and they quoted me that price. Of course when the XPro crew showed up to find an empty apartment they realized their error. What I wanted was move-in/move-out service, so when XPro called to say they were going to charge me more I agreed to pay the difference, but it is disingenuous at best to quote a lower price to get the work scheduled and then not accept the consequences of your own mistake. "Deep clean" is not a standardized term. I described what I needed, and XPro Cleans essentially applied the wrong label and wanted me to cover for their mistake. Much worse, however, was their insistence that the place was dirtier than expected and needed extra cleaning that I would have to pay for (separate from the above price increase). During the initial scheduling call with XPro I was asked to rate how dirty the property was on a scale of 1-10. I don't know what kind of mess the supposedly professional XPro cleaners would consider a 10 (I imagine something like a hoarder's house), so I said it was about a 5 thinking I was being very conservative by overstating how dirty the place was. I know this will only come across as "he-said, she-said" in an online review, but the truth is I have been doing this almost 20 years and the apartment was left in one of the cleanest conditions I have ever seen after a move-out. There was barely even any dust. To insist that the place was so dirty it needed extra cleaning is borderline fraud. The icing on the cake was that after receiving my "final" invoice for the cleaning service after the work had been completed, I got yet another "final-final" upcharge. When I called to ask what this could possibly be for, I was told they had miscalculated the extra cleaning fee based on the original deep clean price instead of the price for the move-in/move-out cleaning, as if that should even matter. If anything, the extra cleaning fee should have been reduced if I was already upgrading from a deep clean to the supposedly more comprehensive move-in/move-out clean. All told this felt like, at best, a series of mistakes by XPro that they refused to accept responsibility for or, at worst, intentional deception. Scheduling I had originally accepted scheduling this cleaning for the end of the day, but asked to be fit into the schedule earlier if at all possible. The morning-of, I received a call at approximately 8:55am that the cleaning crew could be there between 9-10am. I rushed over to the apartment, prepared to meet the cleaners, with (unfortunately) my four-month old in tow. By 10am no one had showed up, so I called and was told they would be there at 11am. At 11am I called again and was told I would receive a call back with an ETA. At 11:45am I called again and was told it would be another two hours before someone was there. At 1pm I called again and was told the cleaning crew was "8 minutes" away. The cleaners did not arrive until after 1:30pm. I had to continually rearrange my whole day, while caring for a four-month-old, based on the misinformation I kept receiving. If punctuality matters to you, be warned. Service Quality The cleaning was fine, but only just fine. I ended up having to wipe down a few things myself after the XPro crew left, they used some of my supplies, and I even had to park and un-park their vehicle for them because they couldn't do it themselves! For the price, and especially after all the upcharges, this was just unacceptable. Summary This wasn't just a string of innocent mistakes. Other reviews suggest similar issues, pointing to a pattern. Regardless of whether XPro Cleans is just disorganized or outright dishonest, I won't be using them again and I suggest others avoid them as well.
