Sandra was with another client so she was going to come get me but luckily I found it when she was opening the door. Her shop is a small room with 2 types of chairs for clients. Communication- after I had scheduled my appointment I received a text from her just letting me know a few things. She did ask to reschedule but then I didn't get a response back so I assumed we were still on for the original appointment. I got a confirmation of my appointment/reminder so I knew I was all set. AFTER- we were setting up my next appointment in which Sandra went over when she will may be busy so I was aware. Microneedling- I bought a Groupon deal for 3 microneedling sessions for $150. I got in the chair and she applied numbing creme (korean brand that I've used before) for an hour. She explained how it would hurt so I shouldn't think otherwise and went over specific areas that would hurt the most. Sandra asked how hard she was to apply. Overall I have a pretty good pain tolerance (had my eyebrows done with the numbing cream not working) but I asked her to go softly just in case. She ended up going medium pressure because I wasn't flinching (I thought she was testing and didn't realize she started) but explained i would be bruised because of my skin tone. The whole appointment lasted about 1hr and 45 minutes with numbing and the actual microneedling. Afterwards she applied some coconut oil and 100% zinc to my face. She gave me some zinc to use as its 100% SPF which I didn't know. Overall- definitely hectic but both cases not on Sandra's part but on other customers who ran late or missed notifications. Sandra has plenty of knowledge and she was a very "go with the flow" type of person. My skin looks exactly how I would expect it and I cant wait to take a picture to see if there's a difference.

Belynda is organized, her office looks like a doctor's office it's so clean, she's super funny and her work is great! I've been to two other lash artists at different places before going to her but the customer service I received here was above and beyond. I scheduled my appointment back in early December for January 19th. Belynda text me two days before to confirm which was good because I almost forgot. Our appointment time was noon and she finished up with a client and was out around 12:05 p.m which was great. She greeted me and asked if I needed to use the restroom before we started (full volume lashes can take 2 hours) and I did. I usually go to (what I thought was) a "high end" lash place in Orange County and when I check-in there, they give me some cotton squares and tell me to clean my lashes in the bathroom so I was a little thrown off when Belynda didn't hand me cotton squares to go wash my own eyeballs. When I returned to the room Belynda asked what kind of volumes I wanted and when I said I didn't know she proceeded to show me her work on Instagram @BeautiesOnTheRun. I decided to go with the light and natural volumes and she got to work. I had some hybrid lash extensions put on two weeks ago at my go-to place in Orange County and Belynda gave me the option to keep those on and do a volume fill or start fresh. I decided to start fresh and she was all for it. I've had lash extensions removed at my last place and basically you keep your eyes closed and try not to squint so the solution won't get in your eye. Takes about 10 - 15 minutes to do the whole removal process. After the old lashes were removed, she let me know she was about to apply water to my eyelid and lash and that I'd feel a warm sensation and she would begin with my eyelash bath. I was like, "WHAT!? An eyelash bath?! WOW that sounds so cool!" LOL! SIDE NOTE: My last experience with lash removal at the other place, the lash artist applied the lash remover solution and told me, "DO NOT OPEN YOUR EYES." She helped me sit up and guided me to the restroom down the hall to rinse off the lash removal solution. I was literally Bird Boxing it to the restroom and then I was feeling around for the faucet to turn it it on to get water to splash on my burning eyes with lash remover solution in it (you can't help but want to open them to look for stuff and I'd most likely die in a Bird Box situation). Back to my lash bath; if you love yourself, you'll get your lashes done and get a lash bath. When's the last time someone offered you a lash bath? Probably never! This was new form of self care for me. I've gotten massages, facials, gone to Glen Ivy countless times but I've never had my eyeballs and lashes washed by another human being. It felt so relaxing and it didn't take long, but I felt like everything was going to be ok, all my problems drifted away on a cloud for 10 minutes. Once the lash bath was done, the lash extension process began! Belynda was easy to talk to and this was the first time I talked to my lash artist for two hours! My normal routine is to fall asleep and I always wake up in the middle of the process and my shoulders are sore and feel like they're going to fall off. Because I was able to laugh and talk to her the time went by so fast and I had so much fun! I felt refreshed and my lashes were looking amazing and full! Before I left, Belynda gave me a little eyelash swag bag and went over how to give my lashes a lash bath and care for my lashes. Most places just give you a couple spoolies and a card with instructions on how to care for your lashes, but Belynda provided an eyelash wash brush and explained the importance of washing your lashes with a good soap. She also demonstrated how to dry your lashes and brush them out. Best lash experience for sure, I'd recommend Beauties on the Run to anyone who has never gotten lash extensions before or anyone looking for a spa like experience for the same price as most places that do lashes.
