I love Sweet Bones. Everything I've had there is at least good and some things are great. They use good quality ingredients and it shows. Their vegan Reuben is delicious, and their pastries are lovely. They have a good selection of coffee based drinks and lattes. If you're vegan, this could easily become your go to hip neighborhood vegan joint. One complaint is that they close pretty early though so you have to go there for breakfast, brunch or lunch. read more

I just finished a big brekkie and homemade cashew milk latte. Still in a bit of disbelief at the overall presentation and flavour of the dish. The tofu scramble was packed with veggies and had a buttery flavour. It was a dryer scramble which I like. It was covered in toasted pumpkin and sunflower seeds which really opened up the flavour. The rest of the plate, avo, tomato, hummus, spinach, and sourdough toast was staple but effective. It's always nice to have a fresh vegan breakfast that has whole foods instead of soy butter and processed foods. And lastly the coffee was excellent. Interesting texture with the cashew milk, as it felt a bit gritty, but that was a welcomed edition as it felt really earthy with each sip. I'd highly recommend Sweet Bones. Great place in trendy area just a few blocks from the Canberra Centre Mall. As the name implies Bakery won't disappoint wth a full showcase of treats daily. Cinnabon not too sweet and cupcakes bite sized. Mains are great, check specials board above baked goods or go menu on miniclip boards, TLT is local fave and indeed good, burrito bowl also good as were the special Jack Buger. read more

I was directed to Sweet Bones completely on accident! The restaurant I had intended to visit was suffering from a power outage, and they directed me here. Overall, I'm very pleased with my experience. The tables were all full for about my first fifteen minutes, but I attribute that to the popularity of the place. I had the Mexican Mocha (a mocha with cayenne pepper and spices) and the roast pumpkin sandwich! The coffee was the perfect temperature (for me, YMMV), and the sandwich was incredible. The fact that the whole menu is vegan is a great plus, because it only increases the number of people you can bring it to eat with you. Note: Despite being vegan, they offer both cow's milk and soy milk in their beverages, so please order appropriately! I'll definitely be back! read more

The food was amazing and the service was great. They have great smoothies and there is sweet and savoury to choose from. Of course since the food is vegan, it's a little more expensive but definitely worth it! I've been multiple times and very time the coffee and food is amazing and quick. I'm not usually one to go singing the praises of meat-free foods, but this place is excellent. Perfect for a quick lunch or snack. The vegan burrito is a winner, as are the variety of salads on offer. The coffee is also top notch, and the kombucha tea was delicious (as well as being just about the only one available in Canberra). Would definitely recommend. read more
