My friends called the bakery while en route to pick up the cake and were told the cake would not be ready for pick up until 5 PM!!!! Are you kidding me? My wedding was at 4 PM. After some back and forth, they told the bakery to call them when the cake was ready for pick up and this was just one of their errands to finalize preparations for the ceremony. They were finally able to pick up the cake around 230 and they made it back just in time for the ceremony, of which they played a part. The cake was not completely done and had to be refrigerated as it was not quite set. This fiasco immensely added to the stress for both myself and my friends who were assisting me and is a negative memory in an otherwise good day. I had ordered a retirement cake with them once before and it too was not ready for pick up...but they ended up delivering to the ceremony in time. I had thought the first time was a simple mistake, but after this last time...nah..I'm done with this shop, they merely add stress to already stressful, time-bound events. Sometimes the lines here can be super long, I recommend calling your order in ahead. This way you can skip the line and just pick up your order. They have a ton of different flavors, lemon, apple, strawberry, raspberry...all worth trying!! A dozen is good for 2 people ;-). They will keep a couple days if you don't eat them all the first day. My only complaint is that I wish they were open Sundays. Usually I pick them up when I'm passing through on a Friday or Saturday morning headed out of town. I'd love to be able to pickup a dozen on the way home too!
