The sign for Dahlia's is the easiest to see and Orion is right next to Dahlia. I arrived there the other night around closing time. Parking is right in front of the door. The store is nicely laid out with a nice selection of jewelry and some watches. The owners were very helpful. I wanted the straps on two watches swopped. They called me the next day to say that the watches strap clasps were not identical and they offered me some options. They called again the next day to day that the job was finished. I was happy with the quality of their work and the price was quite reasonable. I then dropped another watch off for a completely new strap with a fresh look. The owners seem keen to build long term relationships with great service. I'll be back.

A cute redhead sized us up causally-spotting Nancy's JL Reverso watch immediately-and knew we could be buyers! She's been jonesing for a Cape Cod 'double tour' watch for a while, and while I generally save Hermes gifts for Xmas/birthdays I hadn't pulled the trigger on a watch yet. Lo and behold, they had several in one of the showcases. Jo, the redhead, walked us through trying on several of the watches-and Nancy really liked the Cape Cod on the double wrap blue strap. H1912 were well priced on the piece anyway (never worn, strap 100% perfect, caseback never touched since it left the factory-original Hermes battery date sticker, casing screws perfect) yet did give us a small accommodation on the already discounted price. Box, no papers, but they also added a second year to the warranty. A few minutes later and we were back on Nassau Street, Nancy happy, Damian's wallet a bit lighter! She bought lunch, though! I arrived without a reservation with two family members and was placed on the waitlist. At first, everything seemed fine. We spent our time looking around the store while waiting for an available sales associate. As we waited, I noticed several other families arrive after us. However, despite coming in later, they were consistently assigned to sales associates before we were. This happened multiple times, and eventually four different families who had arrived after us were helped before my family. After waiting about 40 minutes, I went to ask the employee managing the waitlist why we kept being passed over. He told me there was no preference for who was helped next and that associates simply took the next customer. Unfortunately, that explanation did not match what I had been watching happen. It honestly felt like we were being overlooked. I'm not sure if the employee assumed that because I wasn't dressed in designer clothing I wasn't there to make a purchase, but appearances should never determine how customers are treated. After waiting for over an hour, an associate finally came to help us. Thankfully, our sales associate was excellent. He was professional, kind, and attentive. He helped me find the perfect Christmas gift for my father, and I also purchased two Clic bracelets and two ties. I wasn't there just to browse--I came intending to make a purchase. This experience was disappointing because no customer should feel as though they are being treated differently based on their appearance. People should understand that dressing casually does not mean someone isn't a customer of luxury brands. While the service from our sales associate ultimately made the experience much better, the way the waitlist was handled left a very negative impression. I rented a tuxedo from here for a wedding and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience…read more I went through all the normal procedures of getting fitted, all measurements taken, and was told it would be ready for pick up a couple of days before the wedding. It was low to mid $200's for the shoes, pants, shirt, jacket, and bow tie. When I tried everything on, I asked specifically if I had to try on the bow tie. The person assisting me that day was Michael I believe, assured me that it was a one size fits all and that there was no need. So I relied on that to be factual, and that there would be no issues. (Silly me!) Come the day of the wedding, and I'm getting dressed and I've now noticed that my bow tie doesn't fit. I call the business up and tell them that I am currently at the wedding venue (not close by) and that my bow tie doesn't fit. The person on the phone kept asking when the wedding was and at what time, but I explained to them that I was far away and that the wedding started soon. They told me come in on Monday to resolve this with our manager. Today is Monday, and I came in after work and met with Jameel (I believe as his name, also person who fitted me) and Michael (same person who saw me try everything on). They apologized for not fitting it already for me, but showed me that ultimately it could technically be adjusted to fit me and that it was "so obvious", so that's why they didn't fit it for me. They also proceeded to inform me that since I left with the suit that day, that I agreed that everything was up to standard. Being told that after me asking to try everything on, felt like a slap in the face to say the least. The resolution I was offered was a compensation of $10, and an acknowledgment that they should've put it on me before I left, but ultimately it was my fault for leaving without trying everything on and not knowing how to properly adjust it to fit me. I'm leaving one star because I trusted them to come through for a special occasion, and it ended up with me showing up without a crucial part of the $200+ outfit, causing me to stand out in a way no one really wants since there is no way to hide not having a tie on, and got told afterwards it was ultimately my own fault for not trying it on beforehand after asking to or not knowing all together how to adjust it since it was "so obvious". I will not be renting from here again personally and will not recommend to others I know.
